I was referred to Peter by another military mom when my son was currently attending with her son. He came highly recommended and I am grateful I took another chance with a lawyer. He was also a scout leader for years for that military mom‘s son. Therefore; a family man. My previous experiences with post decree lawyers were not very positive or helpful even after spending lots of money for them. With Peter by my side, I felt like I was in good hands and that I finally stood a chance. When we met for a first visit he was straight to the point, very confident and knowledgeable. He explained what could happen best, worst and in the middle scenarios . He was upfront and honest about obviously not guaranteeing all the things I wished for would come true. He help me gain confidence and give me hope. I was reasonable and understood that we were all doing our best. Yes, of course there was a retainer fee; all lawyers do have those. Most lawyers asked for $4500-$6000 as a retainer fee for my high conflict case. He charged a split of the cost so we could move forward seeing how no one else had been able to get anywhere for me. We agreed on a monthly payment that was doable for the rest. I tried to be conscientious of his time and Kate’s by only calling when really necessary or in dire panic mode. I felt heard and stronger with him by my side; I felt protected. Coming from a family of lawyers (of course not me) I can honestly say that Peter Garin is one of the few good ones left out there and I would recommend him to anyone/everyone. I know this is a long review but it’s deserved since 2018 when he helped me get some of what I deserved to receive. I will leave you with this… what type of noble and kind person would give some of the retainer back during Christmas time To a single mother of two kids that couldn’t afford a Christmas tree? USA Defend and lawyer Christian Frank-Fas were of enormous help for my wife's immigration process, specially during the lockdown with Trump's policies changing almost on a daily basis. They were always up to date. Be patient during your process. They got your back.

Just an update Peter still hasn’t sent anything to my case worker years after I have requested his office to do so multiple times. Since I don’t have a caseworker it is more difficult dealing with issue with my son almost giving me no leg to stand on in this matter. 10,000 dollars later and the quality of service was really poor.
