Bill Van Dusen is an excellent attorney. There's simply no other way to put it. Not only does he have extensive knowledge of the law from an accomplished career involving practice in a number of areas, he defies many of the stereotypes assigned to attorneys. He listens to the needs of his clients, explains complicated processes in ways that are easy to understand, helps people set realistic expectations of outcomes and follows up on even the most basic questions quickly and thoroughly. There is never any doubt that he is 100% devoted to advocating on his client's behalf. Bill helped my brother through a very challenging and intimidating tax situation, and his "humanity" ran through every interaction they had. And when my brother was unexpectedly diagnosed with a terminal disease, Bill helped my family through a very difficult time with a combination of deep compassion and professionalism. I truly cannot say enough good things about Bill Van Dusen and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking to be represented by a highly competent attorney who also embodies integrity, a high standard of ethics and compassion.

We worked with Emily in a very contentious parental custody case. This case took over 2 years to finally come to a conclusion with numerous court hearings in between. Emily was very professional and very knowledgeable regarding every aspect of family law and it was very evident in everything she prepared. She had to deal with a very difficult attorney as opposing counsel who's only goal was to get the "win" at any cost and badmouth my daughter every step along the way. Emily never sank to this attorney's level and always responded ethically and morally while also standing up for my daughter along the way. She always managed to direct us down the right path even when our emotions sometimes pushed us down another one. She did this not only professionally but also with empathy to the situation. I highly recommend Emily and her firm.

There’s not enough room or time to go into details about how grateful I am that I hired these two! Frankly, I owe them so much…my life, happiness, and the lives and happiness of my children. If you are considering hiring an attorney for your divorce, you take the financial risk that your money could go wasted on a lawyer who 1st; doesn’t care, 2nd could be careless, or 3 too occupied to be thorough.
