I felt extremely relieved to discuss my case and ask questions to all of the staff and lawyers I met with. Jonathan advised me with concern and managed the process for multiple court appearances. Kelly Toney was put in the unenviable position of taking over my highly-contentious divorce case after my initial attorney had to withdraw due to personal reasons. Kelly was thorough, efficient and communicated regularly with me through the process. Kelly was recommended by my previous attorney who had litigated against her several times and always found her to be ethical and talented. She was correct on both counts. Kelly is a genuine person but talented at what she does. This divorce was complicated and emotionally charged. Kelly was able to reign in emotions and offer sound advice to me when it was needed but was also tough when appropriate. I felt comfortable with her from the beginning. I believe the outcome to be the best it could be given my exwife's insistence on throwing tens of thousands of dollars to attorneys to (in the end) gain nothing. The importance of good legal counsel: I think ,when the majority of people are faced with legal matters they are so intimidated that they “ just want it to go away!”.... and usually will just sign anything to “make it” go away.
