Not gonna waste anybody's time, if you're in need of a lawyer to hand a custody dispute, stop looking. Chris Turner is your guy. My ex and I came to an understanding when we separated where we'd do 50/50 and through the events of life it quickly transitioned to me primarily caring for our daughter. Obviously it wasn't smooth, but I made it work. Fast forward nine months later and my worse nightmare came to life when my Ex took off with my daughter to another state. I was eviscerated and realized that what she had done wasn't technically illegal since we had never gone to court prior. Immediately I began making phone calls and discovered TurnerZamarripa. I scheduled a meeting with Chris the next day. He was courteous, professional, and compassionate. He immediately got things started on his end while I assisted in whatever way I could. Took a few weeks to get my ex served but through some light detective work on my end I figured out where she worked through emails and worked together with the office to have her served. Shortly afterward we had a date figured out for when we'd go to court. After court, temporary orders were set in place that established my daughter to be a child of Colorado and that there'd be an allocation of 50/50 parenting time. It was a little bittersweet, I had missed some developmental moments of her life and my daughter took a day or two before she relaxed and realized she was with dad now. Of course it was difficult but I recognized that if Chris hadn't taken care of the legality side of things, there's a very real possibility that I wouldn't have seen my daughter for a year(s). Because this case bled into the "Covid era" my court took longer than it typically would in a normal case. So, this required a lot of patience and trust in the process. However, with final orders taking place and cementing what the temporary orders already had. Is this the outcome that would have removed my ex from my life? No. Is this the outcome that is the best for my daughter? Absolutely. Chris wasn't just there for me when I needed a lawyer, he was there for my daughter. That is invaluable and I will forever be grateful.
