When you pay a lawyer with Mr. Russel’s pedigree, you expect a diligent effort recognizing success isn’t always guaranteed. You also expect status updates and tangible evidence that something is actually happening on your behalf. What I got was rudeness, evasiveness and at best, an occasional dead dog bounce. Ultimately when I pressed him, he quit, but not after taking a big part of my retainer for doing absolutely nothing. I should have looked at his pedigree a bit closer. I didn’t notice that he was almost disbarred. And for what he did, he would have deserved it.

Mr Russell's firm in four years never sent me a monthly invoice or any other documents that showed the time he worked on my case. On the night of February 12, 2023 before a crucial hearing Mr Russell called me to inform me I would need to forward him an additional sum of money or he would not show up at the hearing. The next day I fired this firm.

His firm worked hard and diligently on my case, even though it was a slip and fall which is a very hard case to prove. Phil handled a serious traffic violation which required my appearance in court. I couldn't make the date because I was leaving for vacation out of the country. All I had to do was take a picture of my ticket and email it to Phil. Not only did Phil take care of everything, he got the entire case thrown out!! Excellent work!

Philip is the best lawyer I have ever had the experience of using. He is so professional and kind. He knows his job like the back of his hand. He will walk you through whats going on so you are not completely lost and answers all your questions. Hands down the best Lawyer around. Definitely would use him again.

I hired Phil Russell to help me negotiate a retail space for Interior Design. He was a bit leery at first, but I convinced him I wanted to pursue this. He walked me through the process and we met with the building owner. After our meeting I realized he was right to not take this on. I have a thriving Interior Design business in downtown Stamford, but on the 2nd floor and not a retail space with retail overhead, retail staff, etc...His instincts were correct from day one, but he gave me the satisfaction to be sure of this myself. One word describes Phil. Relentless. I have never seen an Attorney go after a case the way that Phil does. To say he has a lot of passion about what he does would be an understatement. Try walking the streets with him. It will take you twice as long, as a lot of people come up to him to say hello. In fact I made a joke that I was walking with the Pope!!!
