Andrew is a very enthusiastic and empathetic lawyer, and he clearly knows his business. I had a UI benefits appeal be filed by a past employer, which left a lot of potential debt hanging over my head. When I met with Andrew, he was very attention and listened careful, even before he thought I had a case. He gave me an opportunity to argue my position, and was open-minded to hearing what I had to say. After he decided that I had a case, he worked very closely with me to help me prepare for my appeals hearing. He worked with me to go over the pile of evidence I gave me and figure out what made a good argument, and then coached me extensively on how to handle the hearing itself. I felt very supported and prepared for this hearing. (un)fortunately, my former employer is a hot mess, so they consistently failed to show up to the hearings, and eventually the case was closed on procedural, rather than merit-based grounds. Andrew still demonstrated commitment and value during this part of the process - he showed up to our last call with a list of case laws and arguments on why the case should be closed on procedural grounds, and sure enough, when the appeals judge released his final decision in our favor, those same cases and arguments featured prominently in his decision. I would recommend anyone dealing with employment law issues to contact Andrew Golden, he really shows up and puts his heart into this, and he's pretty good at it, too. P.S.; my case had nothing to do with my being transgender, but if you are trans, know that Andrew will come out swinging for you. He is a true ally to us.
