His knowledge of the law along with his compassion for his clients, professionalism, comprehension of complex cases, and humor at just the right moments, is unmatched. David always made me feel supported in my goals and heard in what my concerns were. He took the time to guide me through understanding the legal process, which at times, felt frightening and overwhelming. My custody case was complicated and contentious. The thing about divorce as anyone who has experienced it already knows is that your thinking is not clear and emotion trumps logic. The thing about Dave, though, is that he never makes you feel crazy even in hindsight I most certain was! In other words, he listens attentively to everything you say and does so with compassion. When I initially walked into Dave’s office seeking a divorce after 45 years of marriage, having just been granted restraining and protective orders on my ex, one of the first things he did was recommend a therapist for me to talk to, due to the trauma I experienced. He truly cares, as is evidenced in the compassion and empathy that he shows, and I will never forget his kindness that day. I was embroiled in a divorce with a very bitter woman. She wanted everything I had worked so hard for and over the last 18 years or a life together.
