I have worked with dozens of mediators in my career. Chris and his team at Kalon are amongst the very best in the business. He is tech forward and really works to understand the claims and bring the parties toward a resolution. Unlike some mediators he doesn't give up easily. I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to my colleagues.

Kalon is unlike any other law firm that I’ve encountered in Hartford, and the difference is at the firm’s core. I first met Kalon’s founder and principal, Christopher Kriesen, before he had formed the firm, when he approached the nonprofit organization that I am co-Director of (Hartford Youth Scholars) and asked what he could do to help. This was very early in 2016, and Chris has been an unbelievably generous supporter of HYS ever since. He has spent countless hours working with our youngest (middle school) Scholars, helping them to practice their interviewing skills as they prepare for the independent school application process, and he has worked with older Scholars to brush up their resumes, cover letters and Linkedin profiles. Most recently, Chris has let us know that, along with his time, he also will be contributing a percentage of Kalon’s Alternative Dispute Resolution practice to HYS. From everything that I’ve seen, Kalon truly is committed to giving back and paying it forward, and the students from Hartford that are served by HYS are very grateful recipients of the firm’s (and its founder’s) ethos.

Attorney Kriesen was very fair and impartial to both sides during the Mediation he conducted. The methods and manner in which he conducted the Mediation was very effective, and both sides left feeling that the process had been fairly and expertly handled by him.
