My husband passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the young age of 55 due to medical negligence. He did everything he was instructed to do, had all the tests he was requested to have and was told everything was fine, to go home and see the doctor again in 6 months. Unfortunately, the tests were not read, not read correctly and that negligence took my husband’s life and shattered our dreams. Knowing he did everything he was supposed to do, I frantically searched for answers as to what happened. What went wrong? This wasn’t supposed to happen. I went around pulling all of his medical records trying to find the answers. Not having answers was taking its toll on me. Finally, my son begged me to stop and find a lawyer and hand it over. The conditions in the autopsy report could not deteriorate to that state in the few weeks from the time he took the tests until the time he passed away. Patrick then proceeded to hire several experts in that area, including one of the worlds leading experts in the field. It was confirmed that the test results showed the condition. The doctor should be held accountable for his fatal mistake. It should have been detected and treated. Instead it went on to kill my husband in less than 6 weeks after he was told by the doctor that everything was fine. Under those circumstances, it was difficult to continue, but the professionalism and compassion of Patrick and his staff helped tremendously. He went on to settle the case. I can only hope that by Patrick’s actions on holding the doctor accountable for his mistakes, that the doctor will now look twice at his patients test results before he sends them off to be seen again in 6 months.

My name is Dan Nolan, Deputy Chief of the Hartford Fire Department (Retired). There’s a saying “You can’t beat City Hall” but if you have a fearless and dedicated attorney you most certainly can and Pat Tomasiewicz is that type of attorney. I was wrongfully terminated in 2009 by the City of Hartford due to their politically corrupt leadership of the Fire Department and City Hall during that timeframe. I went through a lengthy arbitration process with union representation that lasted several years, which eventually exonerated me of the false charges I was accused of and I was fully reinstated with full back pay and benefits. In the simplest of terms Atty Tomasiewicz has saved my life and the lives of my family.
