I felt compelled to let the world know how happy I am with our refinance experience thanks to Holler Law Firm. I realize that perhaps no everybody takes negative google reviews too seriously, but this company has helped me through a stressful process with courtesy and grace. I feel obligated to make sure that a few sour grapes don't spoil the rest on the vine.
I have a bit of empathy for this process, having worked in the mortgage industry for a short time a few years ago. The staff is knowledgeable and incredibly accommodating. They are at the mercy of several of parties that they do business for. Naturally, things don't always happen as we expect. Holler Law Firm went above and beyond to ensure the safety of everybody involved (due to the pandemic). Some might say that it was "overkill," but better to be safe than sorry!
When you're dealing with a big name financial institution during a process like a refinance, having a company like Holler Law Firm with real people who answer the phone (and can even answer your questions!) is a breath of fresh air. Attorney Holler should feel proud of his team and the incredible work that they do.

Let’s talk about the legality of a “closing” via zoom from the parking lot with signature lines already notarized. Like this woman just delivered me pre-notarized closing paperwork. I am sitting in an office. Mask available. This woman is in her car. She also felt the need to tell me she was covid tested several times. We have had no contact. We also had to sign papers about covid tracing. With people we had no contact with. Please read this again. I am really really questioning if it is legal to pre-notarize something and will absolutely be contacting the notary board in Georgia. I have been to another attorneys office inside since covid. So I don’t know if they are going by CT rules in GA but this is GA. We can do these things in person and I am highly uncomfortable with the fact that someone had a notarized copy of my mortgage paperwork with them BEFORE I SIGNED IT. Let’s talk about the point of a Notary. To prove that someone signed something. This was done before I signed so anyone could have signed these. Absolutely absurd.

This place is basically a closing factory where each step of the closing process is farmed out to an individual. In my particular case, I had a paralegal preparing all the paperwork for a closing in MA. A week before the closing, I found out from my agent that the Holler Law Firm had not ordered the Municipal Lein Certificate (MLC), which was needed for the closing. In order to avoid delays, I personally went to the city hall and acquired to document, thereby removing the block.
The law firm did not communicate effectively with my lender and despite my lender initially reaching out to them on Feb 6, they did not receive a reply until Feb 27! The closing was scheduled for March 13th. Despite my best efforts, the Holler Law Firm failed to deliver on time and we had to delay the closing. At one point, I was in danger of losing my deposit and my house (see attached). When I received that e-mail from my agent, I was naturally very upset and disappointed. The Holler Law Firm did not demonstrate any urgency and their "scheduling department", the group responsible for booking mobile notaries to meet at the closing location, somehow "lost" their notary and we were forced to delay the closing once again. By the time we closed and all the paperwork was signed, the registry of deeds was closed and we were forced to do the recording the following day. Now the closing is complete and my family and I have moved in and I receive another e-mail from the law firm (attached), stating that several documents were not signed at closing. THEIR closing attorney reviewed all the documents at closing and instructed my wife and I on what and where to sign. How could they have missed a handful of documents!? I have bought 3 properties and never once seen such incompetence on the part of the closing attorney/law firm. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
