I used him as counsel and was my reserve litigation lawyer, if I needed him. The divorce was settled out of court, but I do not regret spending the extra money for the peace of mind I was given. I recently spent the last year and a half as a client of Attorney Rick Richardson. I retained his services for a difficult alimony modification. This is what to look for when evaluating a divorce attorney. You want someone who understands the law and can explain it to you clearly and concisely. You want someone who returns telephone calls, texts and e-mails quickly; someone who confidently explains your options and chances and who is passionate about your case and works diligently for your benefit; you want someone who at trial and at the table is always the most intelligent person in the room. Rick Richardson more than satisfies these requirements. I have observed (too closely I'm afraid) many divorce attorneys over the past decade and Rick is ALWAYS the smartest person in the room. Divorce is messy, emotionally devastating, expensive and often defies logic. Rick will make this process as humane as it can possibly be. I wish I did not need an attorney and I searched a while until I decided to team with Rick Richardson. Divorce is life changing, to say the very least.
