I am the owner of Crepeaway restaurant in Washington DC. Our renewal was coming up at the height of the Covid pandemic. We needed a renewal with a life line given the circumstances. It’s rough out there. Marc got us 6 months of free rent that started almost immediately which will hopefully allow us to get thru what will probably be the worst winter in restaurant history. He continued to follow up with the landlord attorney and walked us thru entire process. Marc is the best attorney we have worked with in our 16 year history at Crepeaway and we won’t won’t work with another one as long as he’s around.

Marc represented us in a recent TOPA dispute where we had initially been told that we were not eligible to receive a buyout from the new building owner. He was very thorough-- from our first consultation, to written communication and follow-ups, we always had a sense of what was involved in the case. His legal analysis was sharp and transparent, and we felt empowered in the decisions that we made because of this. His representation allowed us to recover a substantial buyout payment. Our case centered around an aggressive DC landlord, who herself was an attorney. The case became quite complex because of the landlord filing a case against me when she was the one who had not returned my security deposit. Marc represented me in the court. He is highly knowledgeable and effective. He had to sift through a lot of information to present a coherent case. He clearly, and in a structured way, communicated the issues to the judge that was core to us winning the case. Their fees are lower than other law firms and skill level is very high.
