In violation of my free speech rights, I was suspended from my federal job for publishing a scientific article my agency did not want published. As I worked my way through the farce of the agency's grievance system, I was in contact with Eric, anticipating I would have to sue to get justice. Once I'd exhausted my grievance options, I filed a complaint with the Office of Special Counsel, and that complaint was resolved in my favor, so I never actually had to hire Eric. However, he spent a great deal of time with me pro bono, researching and analyzing my case, to assure me that it was worth the cost of pursuing through the courts should I end up having to take that road. Having an interest in law myself, I read through his analyses in depth, and I was impressed by the expertise evident in his arguments. He thoroughly discussed the options with me, from settling out of court to pursuing the case to the Supreme Court if necessary, and he was obviously willing to do his best for me regardless of what option I chose. It was clear he cared about obtaining justice for me, and his support was invaluable. If I ever do have to pursue legal action to maintain my Constitutional rights, I will definitely give him a call.
