I found Haynes Novick Immigration on Yelp. I will be eternally thankful that my first phone call was to Haynes Novick Immigration and that Joy Haynes picked up the phone. From our first conversation Joy was compassionate, clear and organized. This combination was exceedingly important to me. Immigration is personal matter and Joy treats the issue with the compassion and respect this matter needs. Joy guided my husband and i through the green card process over an 11 month period. While working through this process, i had questions related to a career move and Joy even provided me with guidance about questions i had related to that. The following characteristics are the reasons i would recommend Joy Haynes and Haynes Novick Immigration to anyone i know: 1. Joy knows her stuff. This is evident in the way she explains immigration guidance. I've worked with several immigration lawyers over 16 years and Joy is by-far the best. 2. She communicated with us constantly. We never had to remind Joy about a response. She always responded to us. 3. The firm is well equipped to gather necessary information from clients. When we signed-on with Joy, they had packets of information with clear guidance on what we needed to provide to them to move forward. This minimized any back and forth and made the information transfer process extremely smooth. 4. I was referred to Haynes Novick Immigration through a client of mine. I was looking at starting the Green Card process through employment for both myself and my wife. After my first meeting with Jim and Joy, I knew that this law firm was going to everything to help me out. It took sometime to convince my work (no fault of Joy and her team) about sponsoring my application. Once I got all the approvals sorted out, Joy and her team went to action. Preparing documents, asking questions and making sure that everything was perfect. Whenever I had a question, no matter how ridiculous it was, I got an answer immediately. We predicted that our case would take a decent amount of time, however by diligent work from Joy we got our Green Card in record time (From start to finish, 1 year). Amy Novick is an exemplary immigration attorney. She assisted my family and I with moving from L1 / L2 visas to Permanent Resident Status (Green Card). Throughout the process, Amy was thorough, calm, extremely efficient, reassuring and personable. Her knowledge and experience are second to none, and her patience for my endless questions was very much appreciated. She is also super-responsive. Every email was answered almost immediately, and Amy did a great job of allaying any concerns and worries, without making any promises or creating any false expectations as to the certainty of the outcome. Joy Haynes was recommended to us by dear friends, who had been in a very similar immigration situation. We are a lesbian bi-national couple, that was in need of a Green Card for the foreign partner, to allow her a life with her wife in the United States. Amy Novick was the only Lawyer I could have a regular conversation over the phone! I work at the World Bank Group, and thus my whole family holds a G4 Visa. My three children had met the 7.5 years required for them to apply for a Green Card, so I started to ask colleagues for Immigration Lawyers. In the WBG intranet page there is a list with a dozen of possible options. I called and/or emailed at least 7 of those names. Most of them had an assistant that knew nothing about the process and, at best could, book a consultation appointment within a week. Others had answering machines. Amy was the only one that picked-up her phone the first time I called, kindly responded all my questions in my first phone call with her, and showed real interest in me and my family as clients. She explained what we were responsible for, what she would do, how long was the whole process likely to take, how much we had to pay the US Immigration Services, and how much were her fees. A week after we spoke over the phone, we were signing a service contract, she accompanied by email the whole process, confirming we were going to the appointments we needed to go to, biometrics, etc, and after no more than two months, in what for us was a seamless straight forward process, my three kids got their green cards in the mail. Some of the other lawyers responded latter, but to be quite honest, they made me feel that they would be doing me a favor and/or they could not be bothered, thus had me talk with their assistants. Amy was the only one that had a service oriented attitude, heard what I was asking, and provided knowledgeable straight forwards responses. Price-wise they all charge more or less the same, but kind-quality service has no price. I recommend Amy Novak to anyone.

We just got my husband's green card after this past Christmas and as Joy said "It’s a Christmas miracle!"... I believe so too. We got married in August 2015 and applied all the forms by the end of September 2015 in Cleveland, OH. All the process of collecting necessery documents was really easy by the guidance of Joy and Raisa (our case manager). I would strongly recommend Joy as your immigration attorney even though she is in a different city as you live.
