Hi everyone, my name is Daniel Zimnikov and I can't recommend Dave highly enough. I came to Dave in an absolute time of need, while facing false accusations stemming from a college incident. Not only was I being tried criminally, but I was facing a potential university expulsion. My family was in shock and my future was up in the air. Upon walking into Dave's office, I felt an immediate sense of calm. He greeted me with his patented smile, listened to my story, and provided an instant game plan. For the next few weeks, we hashed out the story and built a solid defense. Before I knew it, I got an excited call from my mom telling me that my criminal charges were dropped. It was a magical moment and a true relief. The school situation was trickier, as the burden of proof falls on the accused rather than the prosecution. Essentially, you are guilty until you prove yourself innocent and although you are allowed to have an attorney present at your trial, he isn't allow to speak on you behalf. His role is limited to counseling and making sure that you don't say anything stupid. Seeing that the situation wasn't favorable (schools return a guilty verdict 95% of the time despite overwhelming evidence), Dave drew upon his expertise and recommenced that I settle with the university and move on to a new institution. We worked out a deal with the school where I willingly un-enrolled in return for a clean record. Two weeks later I landed at Rutgers University and several years later, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Psychology. Had I fought the school, I probably would have lost, and the black mark on my record may have prevented me from finishing my education. It was a tough decision to make but ultimately worked out, and I hope that those of you facing a similar situation will explore the option. Sometimes its best to move on and start over fresh. And therein lies the difference. Unlike most lawyers, Dave truly cares about you and looks out for your long-term interests. Its not about money, its not about career advancement, its not about the shiny corner office in the nicest glass citadel in town. He's all about his clients and making sure that they get the fine legal counsel they deserve.
