I asked Ms. Vorel to represent me regarding a business matter. She zeroed in on the problem, and efficiently addressed the issue. She is not interested in billing clients like crazy. My case did involve some work on a weekend, for which I was appreciative. Prior to asking her to represent me, I performed research of her background. It revealed her working at one of the top law firms in the country. It shows. Anacortes is lucky to have such an experienced attorney in this small town.

I hired Neli to help me recover a lost antique. She applied all the right legal pressures to the situation and was able to recover the object without going to trial. I will always be grateful to her for the hard work she showed throughout the recovery process. Highly recommended.

I hired Neli Espe to negotiate the sale of my business to a group of investors from the Seattle area. The transaction was complex and required the handling of numerous documents and the dealing with several opposing attorneys from major Seattle law firms. I liked Ms. Espe's efficiency and responsiveness. The deal closed on time and the terms she extracted for me exceeded my expectations. The final bill for services came to less than the original estimate she gave me, something which has never happened in my two decades of dealings with attorneys. I would gladly recommend her for this type of work.

Worked with Neli Espe on setting up our new business. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and cuts though the chase right away. Her work saved us a lot of headaches and money down the road. She prepared and negotiated our commercial lease, protected out trademarks and copyrighted the web design; drafted the employment agreements and vendor contracts. One stop shopping and very cost effective as she knew our business inside and out. She was very responsive to all our needs and very accessible. No big shot ego. I would recommend her highly to any small business person. That was a good investment to put the business on a sound footing.

I would recommend Aaron Rasmussen very highly and without hesitation. He is a very trustworthy advisor and works in a fast and efficient manner. He is an experienced Landlord/Tenant Attorney, among other types of services, and I am grateful to have found him. Aaron was on top of the matter and quickly assisted me in an eviction and getting the unlawful detainer tenant out of my rental house in a very timely manner. I am very impressed! Jacqueline

In my opinion this guy took my deposit and gave me a report that didn't address my needs, it looked like something that a freshman slapped together the night before it was due. Spent more time blaming my records and telling me how he was busy with another case than giving me answers. Very little expertise in my land rights issue in my opinion. Didn't tell me anything I didn't already know.

Alan Souders, and the Souders Law Group, represented me in an extremely difficult civil suit. I will forever be astonished at their unwavering integrity and commitment to my case. They left no stone unturned in their thorough interviews and flawless preparation. When reading their documentation, I was struck by the beauty, economy and power of their arguments. Needless to say, Souders won the day and gave me back my life. I can’t possibly recommend Alan Souders and the Souders Law Group enough. The firm is genuinely ‘outcome’ driven and has the wherewithal to deliver the best possible results for their clients.

Upon my Sister's retaining of Plumer I began to question her ability to formulate a comprehensive argument respective to my defense. Not only did she fail to consider my input regarding my case, she seemed intent on a defense that had little to nothing to do with MY case. At one point she informed me that I could NO LONGER CALL her, and as for my "defense" she failed to file the usual challenges, failed to object to stipulations that are outside the authority of the court to allow.... not ONE HOUR of time was applied to my case by a private investigator... when I found myself beginning the process of selecting a jury and was informed by her that she could either select a jury or describe how she intended to present my defense, I chose to enter a STTDFG Alford Plea which I will withdraw once I am able to develop a comprehesive defense... I would NEVER recommend this person. It was like watching a horrific accident happen right before my eyes

i want to warn the general public about the practices of this person. I retained her as my lawyer. Her skills as a lawyer are truly pathetic. I would like the public to know that she failed her fiduciary agreement with me her client. She shared with the "victim" in private very confidential information that is strictly between client and attorney. I'm currently in the process of filing a bar complaint against Ms. Plumer and also filing a law suit against this lawyer for breaching her client confidentiality that has destroyed my family's life. Ms. Plumer's actions have costs me my personal freedom, and the loss of my two kids. I will never forgive this person for her lack of trust and lack of advocacy for her client. She simply sold me out her client at the 11th hour of the case. On top of all this, she pretends to be a divorce lawyer, and in fact she is a criminal lawyer and pathetic at that too. Ms. Plumer is the most incompetent and unethical person I have ever met. Beware NEVER to meet or do business with this person. You will regret it.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.

Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.

Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
