Mr. Warner came recommended by another lawyer when our two teenage boys got into some serious legal trouble. Each boy was required to have a separate attorney. Mr. Warner did a lot of work to make sure that our son had the best chance possible. In the end, all that hard work ended up with our son not having any charges at all on his record. Our son was given a chance to have a life. Now he definitely stays out of trouble. We really appreciate the time and effort he put into it. He is worth every penny he charges and we would recommend him to anyone who needs help and doesn't know where to turn or what to do.

Mr warner has been very stern and reliable to getting the information needed and getting the job done to get the result i was looking for. He was always on top of things and made sure that the facts provided was to a tee. He an be a bit exspensive but its worth every dollar i had to shell out. He will continue to be my lawyer until his services are no longer needed. The thought of using anyone else will never cross my mind.

Mr. Warner was the best Attorney I have met. He lets you know what to do and the best way to handle the problem at hand. I hope I don't have to use him again but if an Attorney is needed I will be calling him for sure. Thank you Mr. Warner for all that you have done for me and my family.

Matthew Donald helped our family set up a trust to care for our mother who was entering an assisted living facility. Matt was knowledgeable, a terrific listener, and really calmed our trepidation. We have been able to financially care for our mother and relieve her worries as well as our own. Matt was a Godsend for our family.

On this day Mr.Curley did a thorough job in our case.I would say he's a great lawyer from my experience with him today. He represented my mother and I against a bitter family member who has been trying to make a mess of life for the last two years..He didn't tell me what I wanted to hear he is direct and to the point all in all I would use him again in this situation. He was our court appointed attorney and did his job at a much lesser rate on our behalf. He negotiated a fantastic deal for us with the other party's attorney and the courts the with agreement it came out to a Win Win in the end..Thank you Mr.Curley for your representation and defense in our court case.

Please read every review. They are all 5 stars except for 2. The first one Atty Curley explained the conflict of interest for the client he was representing for FREE. The second and most recent is obviously fabricated by a bi-polar mentally and emotionally abusive ex convict. It's obvious by every 5 star review that this 1 star review is a farce. I've seen the holes in the walls from the physical abuse and domestic violence at the hands of this man and the countless abusive text messages he has written to his minor children. Don't let his instability deter you from obtaining great represention should your need arise.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
