Sometimes you need a lawyer who knows the law. Sometimes you need a lawyer who know how things really work. James Cummings knows both. I did something stupid on the way home from the beach, and I got into a bit of a scrape. On the recommendation of a friend, I hired Mr. Cummings to see if he could help. He helped a LOT. Don't mess around. If you need a lawyer, then get a good one. James Cummings is a good lawyer.

On May 15, 2015 I was served with a child custody suit concerning my adopted grandchild. I was to appear in a NC court on May 21, 2015. I live in Missouri. I found Brad Schulz on the NC Bar Assoc website. Acting on blind faith, I hired Brad and his staff. He went to work immediately requesting copies of information I forgot existed. Through phone conversations he prepared my case. On May 21st he represented me so I didn't have to travel to NC. Working together through today's amazing technology, Brad won that custody case. Either Brad or his assistant, Catherine, were in contact with me at least every other day, if not every day. Because of family dynamics involved, I feel my life was restored. I'll forever be grateful to two people I never met in person, however, they felt like old friends.

I had hired attorney Andrew Wigmore to help with a custody case. It was an almost three year battle. He was there every step of the way. He told me what to expect. These things get ugly. He was right. He was super knowledgeable. He made sure we were beyond prepared for everything. He has over 25 years of experience. He always answered my questions or concerns promptly. His office stayed in contact with me regularly. Most importantly I was awarded primary custody because of Mr. Wigmore. If I find myself needing a lawyer in the future, he will be the first one I contact.

I retained Mr. Wigmore after a dispute with my father's child which had me feeling helpless. We had no previous agreement written and I was blindsided. Mr. Wigmore and his office staff went above and beyond to answer my questions and help me through out this process. Mr. Wigmore went to court and settled everything for me in a speedy manner, and I have not had any issues since. A few months after the case was closed I received a speeding ticket and Mr. Wigmore was my first call! Again his office handled the ticket without an issue and for a fair price! FIVE STARS and two thumbs up. If I ever find myself in need of an attorney again I know who I will be calling.

i hired mr. wigmore to represent me in district court. i was pulled over and charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance. iam a disabled american vetern, 100% service connected. i take numerous medications to help me have a chance of a normal life. I hired Matt Godwin around September of 2020 for about 11 citations that were 10 years old. I had acquired these tickets when I was young and naïve and have had my license suspended SINCE then. I finally was able to save up enough money to hire Mr. Godwin and I choose this firm because I knew someone that used the law firm back in 2010-2011 when I lived there. He was very reasonable with pricing and even let me break my payment up into two. He immediately got to working on my case for me and the case was settled and ALL cases DISMISSED after about 2 months. The only reason why they even took THAT long was because the Trooper had the court date rescheduled. Mr Godwin I feel, really fought for me. I an in recovery and am coming up on 2 year sober. I got pregnant at 8 months sober and was about 8 1/2 months pregnant when I finally hired Mr. Godwin. He was very sympathetic to my situation and understood that I had come a long way from where I was when I got those tickets and that DWI to the person that I am today when he spoke to me. I also explained that I now live in Florida at a maternity home and that I just really need to get this taken care of so that I can acquire a car so I can have a safe way for me to get to work and to be able to take my son anywhere that he needs to go. This license was very important to me and something that I had been trying to work on getting for the last 10 years. Mr. Godwin understood all of that and he was willing to fight for me, and fight for me he did. Because of Mr. Godwin's understanding an compassion he was able to successfully help me reach the goal of getting my license back. I am enterically grateful for him and plan on using him to expunge my record as well. Mr. Godwin is one of the most respectful, kind, down to earth lawyers there is out there. I was arrested for DUI March of 2018. During that time I acted foolishly verbally assaulted the arresting officer. I behaved carelessly and my case prognosis was dire to say the least. I was looking at my first DUI with what the prosecutor called an open and shut case with imminent conviction. There were some things that happened between the officer and I that I would say caused me to be super aggressive with the officer. Mr. Godwin told me to let him handle this....And handle it he did. I was in court for the 6th time 4 hour drive there and back. This time I was waiting for my turn to be judged. Mr. Godwin told me he was going to try and get the case pushed back to a later date. The arresting officer was there ready to testify. My stomach was in knots. It was getting close to lunch and walked up to me and told me that we would be on after lunch. Then I noticed He was going into another room with the arresting officer. It was clear he was working his magic. He walked up to the Prosecutor leaned in and spoke to him. Iam not sure what he said but He immediately walked towards me and motioned for me to go outside the court room. He extended his hand and told me the case was dismissed. I grabbed him and hugged him tightly. I felt a huge burden lifted from me. The best decision I made was hiring Mr. Godwin. He is patient and waits until things are lined up in his favor, He kept postponing until he had the advantage and when it lined up right he pounced. I believe he is unbeatable. of all the times I went to court he just kept successfully defending his clients. He is amazing, I owe him . He saved my career. God Bless You Mr. Godwin.

I could not be more pleased with my experience in hiring Matt Godwin as my attorney. I was charged with DWI (.09) and believed I was looking at a surefire conviction. I was dreading giving up my license, paying a lot of money, and dealing with other DWI pitfalls. BUT, along the way, I was referred to Matt. He listened to my circumstances and quickly determined a course of action that ultimately was successful in finding me 'not guilty'. The key was Matt's experience in the courtroom. Mr. Crowe represented me in a DWI case that I thought I would have no chance of getting off. He explored all options and took the time to explain our strategy prior to the court hearings. He is very knowledgeable and really knows how to work the courtroom. In the end, Mr. Crowe was able to get the charges dropped and we are now seeking to have the charges expunged. I highly recommend you hire Mr. Crowe if you find yourself in the same situation as me. He possibly saved me from losing my job.

This woman drug my case out for 3 years charging for repeated appraisals repeated affidavit demeaning.
After 3 years of little communication , begging to bring my case to be heard she kept telling me I would get hurt if the judge heard my case the day of court not even being able to pay my currentbills in the affidavit he earned $14000 a month she got me 1300 and I lost my medical coverage after military divorce because she never filed the forms for the retirement split 20/20/20 rule 8 months later when I asked the status she said we are starting that now . After divorce you have 3 months to submit divorce decree to get health care under your social ..
The only reason she finally heard my case is I was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer .in Sept 2024 / hired her in Feb 2021 …
RUN as fast as you can if you need JUSTICE..
This woman Mrs. Sundee Stephenson was my Worst Nightmare
As of right now she withdrew from my case refusing to finish my settlement paperwork or file it for after courts knowing I was starting CHEMO TREATMENT..

Ms. Van Dyken's knowledge of the law and her gutsy, non-defeatist attitude not only got me a divorce, but got a settlement I was completely happy with. Bilked me of over $38,000.00 in fees. Never accomplished anything. Failed to keep me informed of case.
Spent most of time providing discovery for opponent, and failed to get discovery for me. Strongly suspect conspired with opposing counsel detrimental to her client. Can be very rude. Will bill you into poverty. I finally had to fire and represent myself. Despite her claims, I was able to win myself. Avoid at all costs.

There are no word to express the trust that I have in Mr. Valentine as my attorney, my advocate, and frankly, just having my back. I will give it a shot, though.
As a plantiff, and had no idea that I needed an attorney since I was the victim of a crime, but I learned that navigating the legal system on your own is not an easy task. After vetting a plethora of attorneys, I knew that Stephen Valentine was the one who had my best interest. He knows the law with precise expertise, immediately made me feel at ease, but he also shoots it straight- all things I wanted and needed in someone who is representing me.
Mr. Valentine was thorough, delivered as promised, and went above and beyond to make sure that I was well represented. With his help, I am now more secure, comfortable, but moreover, my case was handled with the best outcome that I could have received. I would not have been able to obtain the result on my own, so the expense was well worth it!

If you are a woman don't go to this man. I paid him for a consult. I left his office in tears and angry after he made me feel like the bad guy for the second time in less than 15 minutes. I felt as if I had been in front of the spouses attorney instead of one I was considering hiring. Horrible man. $250 for 20 minutes of humiliation. If I had not paid cash I would have stopped payment

Joshua M Reed was a miserable failure of delivering what was promised. Would recommend any lawyer or none before taking him up on his solicitation. Reed offered his services for our son who was pressed for time to get his speeding ticket closed out before he reported for basic training, so there was a hard deadline 6 days after the earliest court date he could be assigned. We hired him due to his understanding of the military that he explained to us.
He was willing to go down and just face the judge but was assured by Reed that he didn't need to do that, and he would take care of things. As the date approached there were many requests for feedback on what he had accomplished, of which none were answered satisfactorily. There were many times that even his office staff didn't answer the phone despite the solicitation's claims to be especially responsive. That was laughable in this case. We were given excuses that even if true, do not excuse the attorney of his duty to keep his client informed.
Believing that a competent lawyer would at least deliver on his promise and get the paperwork done on what he had charged us a significant price for (over $400, compared to the other solicitations we received for less than $200), we went into the day of court not knowing what we were supposed to do - and no contact from him or his office. The next day I called the court to find the status of the case and was cheerily informed by the county employee that a bench warrant had been issued for failure to appear in court with a $1000 fine. Reed finally answered his phone (sounded like I woke him up) and acted surprised that it hadn't been taken care of. I informed him of the status per the court recorder and let him know in no uncertain terms that we were not pleased with his work.
To his credit, the problem was resolved and the warrant had been retracted by noon that day, but it is not the kind of concern a lawyer should create for someone who is dependent on a clean record to achieve security clearances in the future.
