I found my recent interaction with the Law Offices of Stephanie Hon to be a great experience.
During our first meeting she listened carefully to what I wished to accomplish regarding writing a will. She then took ample time to ask questions regarding myself and my family so she could best achieve not only my wishes regarding distribution of my estate but get a complete understanding of other items that should be included to benefit myself and my family in situations prior to and after my death.
After our initial meeting and prior to finalization of my will, both Stephanie and Rhejeanne Bermudez, Client Service Director,
answered any questions I had so I fully understood every aspect of each of the documents to be included in my will.

I can’t express enough how thankful I am to have met Josh. I’ve worked with other attorneys for what I assumed were simple modifications and spent thousands, only to find out later that the orders weren’t enforceable, even though a judge signed them. So, when it came time to modify my child support, I knew I needed a lawyer who would get it right.
Initially, I wanted to try and handle things through the Attorney General’s office, but given my luck in the past and my ex-husband’s difficult nature, I wanted to make sure everything was done correctly. I met with several lawyers before Josh, and most charged steep fees for brief, unhelpful consultations. But my experience with Josh was different from the start. He invited me into the office, spent a full hour with me, and was honest about my options. He even advised me to save money by filing with the AG’s office myself—until he heard about my ex-husband’s behavior. At that point, he agreed that having a lawyer was the better choice.
I hired Josh the same day, and within a week, he had started the paperwork. From the moment he contacted my ex-husband, the usual games began. Josh told me not to respond to any communication from my ex and that he would handle everything. He did just that—professionally and effectively, even managing to stop my ex’s harassment, which I hadn’t been able to do myself.
Josh’s approach in court was exceptional. He called me the week before to walk me through everything, even doing a role play of how things would go on the stand. What seemed silly at first turned out to be invaluable preparation. Thanks to Josh, I felt confident and knew exactly what to expect.
The communication from Josh and his entire team was outstanding. I received regular updates, even if there was nothing new to report. Josh is truly one of a kind—he genuinely cares about his clients, and his dedication and professionalism made all the difference in my case. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of legal help.

First off: if you are reading this, you are going to be okay. Nothing you’ve faced before will have this much doubt, this much unclear, this much worry, this much regret, this many differing social opinions, this much stress. But, it’s able to be lived through, and you will make it.
Lisa, Madison, and Allison at Thompson, Salinas, and Londergan stayed by my side through the darkest mental days that felt never ending, and through the confusion that often felt sideways and unpredictable, and even insanely upside down at times. Each always took the time, and helped maintain the bottom line when there seemed to be no line in existence. And Lisa, Madison, and Allison all brought differing styles and tones to their counseling that separately created a holistic comfort, and especially at the times that were most needed. Divorce is about a beginning too, and that’s easy to forget and not constantly look back: Lisa, Madison, and Allison each found a way to remind of that even when that was the furthest from what was possible.

I hired Craige's firm in tandem with an attorney in NY based on the recommendation of a partner at Barton LLP who understood that I needed representation at a reasonable cost without losing the expertise of an experienced attorney.
Craige's attention to detail along with his associates work on our patent application was so well done that when we were singed on by the #1 tech law firm in the country prior to our first seed funding they were very impressed with what Craige's form had accomplished for us.
His pricing is reasonable for a start up that's bootstrapping or for individuals with a patentable idea. He's very experienced in the process of originating the details of the application.
His firms work is very precise!

There are numerous things that prompted me to give Adam five stars. One Adam personally calls you back or emails you timely. No paralegal. He came to our house to take the application and made getting information about the case as convenient and timely as possible. His advice on how to approach the case and present the evidence was spot on. He was supportive and encouraging and compassionate through the process. When you are going through a medical challenge you don’t need an attorney that just is going through the motions. With Adam’s guidance our case was approved very smoothly. I made the mistake of allowing two old debts get all the way to the “default judgement” stage. Both had been acquired by debt buyers, who then used their law firms to file suits. Because I disputed the original debt amounts and had a lot of anxiety about them, I buried my head in the sand hoping they’d go away. Bad move. Eventually the other shoe dropped, and I had to deal with both. I was losing sleep I was so upset. I can’t tell you how comforting it was to call and talk with Evan Harlow. His calm, confident and friendly demeanor helped me relax and see the situation as something that just needed to be resolved. He patiently talked with me and gave me unbiased options for how to put it behind me. And not all the options included paying him for his services! That is the sign of a good person. Instead of treating me like a number, I felt like he empathized with me and truly helped me. I will be using him in the future for things like trust and estate planning now. I highly recommend Evan to anyone.

I hired Mr Harlow to help me with a debt collection issue in February 2020, uploaded documents for him to review, and never heard back from him unless I persisted to follow up myself to find out what our status was. After several months of silence, I received an excuse about other cases, and gave up expecting to hear anything again - and I still haven't. I have expressed my disappointment about this directly, and that has been followed by more months of silence. I would not recommend this law office.

I see Mrs. Valentine no longer practices family law, but she was my family law attorney at the time. I sincerely think Mrs. Valentine wanted to help me, but in the end, she failed and abandoned me when I needed her most. She was very understanding in the beginning as she agreed to support my goals. I explained that while I understood I couldn't stop my divorce, I didn't want it and wanted to do everything I could to maximize the possibility of reconciliation, so I wasn't going to do anything to encourage it. She seemed to respect and understand where I was coming from and was willing to work with me. She also understood that I had already hired an attorney who had exhausted all of my retainer from my temporary hearing and I was still paying off my balance with them, so I couldn't afford another retainer. She agreed to work with me on an hourly basis instead of requiring a prepaid retainer. During that time, she was helpful answering questions, explaining how to file documents and prepare for hearings. However, when it came time for my final hearing, she indicated I finally need to pay a retainer, to which I reluctantly agreed to because I didn't really have the money. I even asked her if she could take it out of the trust from the settlement in my final hearing so that I could still afford to pay my living expenses. She declined, however, I managed to come up with the retainer the last day of her deadline. I was literally on my way to her office when she told me she could no longer represent me because I didn't want a divorce. She then proceeded to suggest that because I hadn't paid a retainer, that she wasn't representing me, but we definitely had established an attorney-client relationship over the course of almost 9 months, I was just paying on an hourly basis. I explained again, that I knew I couldn't stop the divorce from happening, but as a matter of principle, I was committing to my marriage until the end. Considering it was right before the July 4th holiday, I felt that she just didn't want to do the prep work instead of going on vacation. As a result, I wasn't able to retain an attorney on that short of notice and had to proceed with my hearing as Pro Se. As you could imagine, I was completely outmatched in my hearing going against another attorney, but I felt I had no other options. I was very discouraged at how she abandoned me when I needed her the most.

I made a big mistake in hiring this attorney to represent me in what should have been a simple family law matter. I could have left this review back in 2021 but I held out hope that this would be made right. I hired Mr Davis in 2021 for minor modification and enforcement of visitation.
Mr Davis asked me to drive to Austin for the consultation so I drove almost 5 hours to meet with him. At conclusion of the consultation, Mr Davis said I have a good case. Mr Davis recommended that I should go for full custody back as I had the full custody of my son raising him for 5 years after his mother abandoned the child when our son was just 14 moths old. Mr Davis requested a retainer & as I recall, I paid him $15k.
He claims he was given a retainer of only $10k, but let’s be honest - that is still a lot of money to get enforcement of an existing visitation agreement or even to go back to court for a full custody modification, isn’t it? Fast Forward to the day of the hearing. I had a witness fly in from the east coast - we had a mutual ex-wife.
My witness and I observed Mr Davis enter the court house and my witness pointed out Mr Davis in discussion with our ex-wife’s attorney. After this chat ended, Mr Davis approached me telling me to go find another lawyer. Mr Davis then departed, abandoning me right before the hearing with no prior notice that he wanted to withdraw. Mr Davis to this day has refused to tell me why he abandoned me and my case immediately preceding the hearing.
After repeated attempts to get Mr Davis to do what I paid a retainer for or at least give me an explanation for why I was left to fend for myself, I finally submitted a complaint with the State Bar of Texas & the Texas Attorney General’s office reporting my experience for them to investigate. I have also filed a lawsuit for this abandonment situation in District Court in Austin. May justice prevail.

We hired Justin as my family blindsided with Divorce papers,
After providing him with 6 folder full of records and he was so unprepared prepared in court, it blew my mind.
The inattention to detail and how very unprepared he was.
We were unnerved when, just before the hearing he asked for more money - this was after having been paid the retainer well before the trial.
Long story short he had to be asked to say the obvious by us during the trial and the judge kept looking at him for checking his phone repeatedly during the trial rather than listening to the hearing.
He ended up working out the best deal for the opposing attorney and went over to the other attorney patting him on the back. No matter the circumstances Justin will do his best to help himself while harming our kiddos and extended family.

I retained Mr. Jackson for a family law case and it was pulling teeth to get him to respond to me. He wouldn’t respond to emails in timely manner and would just ignore them. He does not have an open line of communication and I felt like I was the least of his worries. He was of money and time and took 6 months to file one piece of paperwork.

I have worst experience ever. They took my case and my retainer and since than they don’t care how many times I called and tried to reach. The attorney is hard to find in office for appointments and never shows up on the days of appointment. The staff is rude and unprofessional.
They will waste your time and money. If you want representation in a case, this is not a lawyer you are looking for.

Yep, Ron can be rude and annoying. He is, however, a FANTASTIC lawyer. I've had to go to him twice for help getting custody of my special needs sister. If I had listened to him, it would have been only once. He had my mother on the stand and he was so gentle yet so effective, the change was made with a minimum of pain. My sister's life in both safety and quality is fantastic and she now has opportunities not available when she was kept at home with my mom. As far as I'm concerned, this is the guy I go to for legal help.

This is by far the most rudest, self-absorbed attorney I've ever spoken with. After a VERY brief phone conversation (15-30 seconds) I was told that if I needed a free consultation about divorce and bankruptcy than I obviously couldn't afford both anyway (how in the heck would HE know what I can afford???). When I said I didn't need to file for divorce or to file bankruptcy, he said then I didn't need a lawyer and hung up on me. Ron Butler's website offers a variety of services. My situation is a combination of several of those issues, out of state, federal, and now very obvious far, far too complicated for Ron Butler to even comprehend. This also makes me seriously question the validity of his website.
