I was in a bad car accident four years ago. Unfortunately it put me in the trauma center when returning home from the hospital I felt lost and confused. I was on pain meds and I could hardly walk. I was afraid to drive and even get in a car I feared the fact that I would never be able to go back to work And had no idea where my future was going. During my time in the hospital with the help from my daughters,Lord willing, they found a five star attorney Tom E Sokat. The best thing I ever did was to contact him. He is a highly trained, honest, caring, knowledgeable, respectful, supportive, and will guide you through the process step by step. JR handled the sale of my mother's house upon her passing. He handled a sale between private parties, saving us commissions and we successfully avoided onerous provisions the title company attempted to impose upon us, avoided an arbitration clause and successfully navigated a deal with a stubborn buyer.
JR was friendly, competent. and flexible. I would definitely use him in the future should the need arise.

JR Richards took on my rental real estate case dealing with a non-paying tenant .. tenant was illusive when it came to rent payments .. tenant began to assume that since his long term vision (and he had no cash) was to purchase the property that he can ignore paying rent .. JR navigated the case beautifully with full knowledge of the process, JR was compassionate yet realistic and guided me and set expectations of what to expect and JR delivered .. JR helped me resolve a frivolous lawsuit by a person who had no representative. Being from the east coast, I had no knowledge of the laws around a demur. In late 2009 I entered the legal offices of Blaha, Hartford, and Perry an absolute train wreck. My wife of 20 years wanted a divorce and I thought my life was over. At 52 with 2 young children, I saw no future for myself as a divorced man. For those who never experienced the divorce process from start to finish in a long term marriage with children, you will never know how it can break you down. For those who have, you know what I am talking about. The pain. Erene saved my life and helped me see the future. She was not just my Lawyer, she became my friend when I really needed one. Nearly a year ago I encountered a water rights issue pertaining to my rural property. I called Amara and she immediately began working with me on possible solutions. With her background and extensive experience she was able to maneuver through the political environments of various cities, counties and water districts. She even enlisted the help of a professional lobbyist to take my issue to the state level with the hope of passing new legislation that would have helped my cause.
Amara is efficient, competent and reliable. Even while on vacation she made herself available to work with me as issues came up. She attended meetings on my behalf and consulted with all levels of politicians and experts in order to get answers to my concerns. She has an excellent understanding of land use, zoning and urban limit lines and was able to wade through the political mine field that had become an issue for me. I have recommended Amara to friends and will continue to do so.

Daniel is a younger estate planning attorney but has been practicing for over 8 years, so he has seen it all. I am a Financial Advisor that focuses on comprehensive financial planning and through the planning process I often identify many clients who have not obtain a proper estate plan. Living in California, it is very important that EVERY family obtains an estate plan to avoid probate at the very least and Daniel is my go to for all my clients. I had a ticket for jay walking on my way to catch a VTA lighrail to Cisco. Months later, Karen showed up in traffic court in the Superior Court of San Jose. She threw herself and me, who had an entire documentation of circumstances of my life at the time, at the mercy of the court. She effectively reduced what had become a $350 fine, to costs at $52.00. She is passionate when she believes in someone. She listens!!!!

I had not filed taxes and had unpaid taxes. My wages were garnished, I was feeling hopeless & unsure how to even begin to make the call to the IRS.
After the consultation, Mr. DiMaggio had me believing that in fact there is resolution and light at the end of the tunnel. He is kind and explains everything in detail & is very understanding.
The garnishment has been removed, I am getting my life back, without his assistance I am unsure where I would be today. The weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

Jyoti is FANTASTIC at practicing law and achieving the best possible outcomes. I had the misfortune of needing law services in the first part of the year. Initially I was given a referral from someone who had demonstrated to have a credible reputation as a paralegal and had worked at large San Francisco firms for over a couple of decades. Upon initial contact with this lawyer, he seemed to have substantial knowledge of the law and with a reasonable fixed price, however I had little knowledge of him beyond that. When I looked him up to check his standing with the state bar, I found it odd that he used the Fairmont hotel on Nob Hill as his address. After looking further, I found that the suite he listed didn’t even exist. Red Flag #1. This story goes way way south from here finding that he didn’t even have a car to get to appearances and then persuaded me that he had already started on a legal plan and I need to sign a 14 page hourly contract at $350/hour, but convinced me that it wouldn’t be that many hours. This story is very long, but the basis is that he took me down an extortionary expensive rabbit hole to the tune of $9000 before I realized that he was destroying my case by infuriating DA’s & Judges and ruining my life with excessive charges for unnecessary demurrers, exhibits & declarations for judge recusals, etc and all completely pointless. I was in a living nightmare and knew I had to FIRE him. I began interviewing several lawyers, and at this point, after much research I obtained a significant understanding that what this lawyer did was contemptable and couldn’t have been worse for my case. Once I cycled through several new lawyers and found Jyoti there was no reason to continue vetting any more. She understood exactly what had happened, was very articulate and immediately responsive, knew the best strategy to get me out of this miserable situation, was sympathetic for the outlandish ordeal that I had unnecessarily endured and was able to obtain the very best outcome based on the mess the first lawyer had made. So I ended up paying almost $10K for him to destroy my reputation in the courts and then had to start all over with Jyoti. She's a seasoned attorney with a reasonable market fee and a great court presence. Hoping I don’t need to, but if I ever need legal services again I will go to Jyoti and recommend anyone reading this to do the same.

This is long overdue. Mary was spot on and helped me and my kids have the life that we deserve. To this day, I cannot thank her enough. After a very disappointing and stressful experience with another attorney, I heard about Mary and luckily she took my case. Mary will not waste any of your time and money (which many other lawyers will do). She will actually care and listen to you and will inform you and keep you updated every step of the way. I had Rachel Margolis Chapman as my defense lawyer for a silly trespassing violation and I truly felt like she was there for my defense. Things started out going well, but when it came to time to produce, the attorney I worked with ended up charging $2200 to research basic business law and then send me 2 forms he downloaded from atyourbusiness{dot}com and filled in the names on. How do I know where they were from, he didn’t even take the time to remove the “for more free forms, visit atyourbusiness{dot}com” footer from the files or put it on appropriate letterhead.
In short, I paid $2200 for free forms and a person to do basic law research that I had already done. I expected much more from a “professional” business law attorney.
I’d suggest staying away from this firm. You’d be much better served doing pretty much anything else in this instance.
