Mr. Copeland became my friend after he represented me in a law suit that lasted over two years.
He is the type of person who takes his time in explaining the court’s procedures and makes it so that the average layman can understand.
The other thing that I liked about Mr. Copland is that when you are in a law suit you are sometimes driven by emotion and cannot see a matter from a logical viewpoint, he explains the matter in a way that helps you understand what the courts are looking for.
I would strongly recommend Mr. Copland to anyone in need of a good attorney.

My case was a personal injury accident which took place in Durango, Co.
I was referred to Mr. Copeland by another lawyer who backed out of my case at the last moment. I talked with Mr. Copeland via telephone many times before I met him. Mr. Copeland maintained contact with me and kept me informed as to how the case was progressing.
I met Mr. Copeland for the first time when he came to Michigan with the opposing lawyer to take depositions. Mr. Copeland sat down and explained what was going to take place at the deposition.
The next time that I met with Mr. Copeland was in Denver in June of 2008 for a mediation hearing. Mr. Copeland led us through the hearing, answering our questions and explaining our options. We settled our case to our satisfaction.
I should mention that due to my former occupation as a Police Officer, and my wife.s former occupation as a court magistrate, wwe had both had many dealings with lawyers over the years. Mr. Copeland renewed my faith in lawyers.
To sum it all up, I highly reccomend Mr. Copeland. He was not only our lawyer but became a friend.

I highly recommend Dan McGuinness. I was impressed with how promptly all aspects of my divorce case were handled. He was thorough in explaining the legal process—I felt well prepared for each court hearing, mediation, and all correspondence with the opposing council. He was confident in dealings with the other side, and always presented my wishes with professionalism and respect. My case involved significant safety concerns in regard to parenting time. I was assured with Dan’s expertise in preserving what was in the children’s best interest, and as a result, the Judge ruled in my favor for all parenting time issues.

I had the fortunate experience of utilizing Dan McGuinness's vast knowledge of Divorce law and procedure. I had a one hour consultation with Mr. McGuinness regarding an emergency motion filed against me by my ex-wife asking to restrict my parenting time. Dan helped me understand the correct procedure to respond and advised me on my rights, plus the best way to present my explanation in my response. Dan's expertise really helped me to prepare the exhibits that helped to validate my side of the case. Dan directed me by showing me the specific statutes in the law to support my response which were key in my case. Mr McGuiness advised me on potential hurdles I could face in my hearing like objections to my testimony and how to have them denied. Also Dan coached me on how to object to the other parties testimony and exhibits and have them sustained, which were successful in my case. These elements helped me immensely. With Dan McGuinness's consultation I was able to represent my self and prove beyond a doubt that the petitioners accusations were not true and the case was dismiss. My kids were back at my home in 3 hours.

He adeptly and competently helped to manage a complex, multi year, $12 million project that involved multiple governmental agencies and a multitude of conflicting mandates and regulations. He regularly negotiated various state and federal level regulations and requirements that were in conflict with one another and worked to find solutions that were acceptable to all parties. Mr. Toney is an absolutely amazing attorney. I’m a SSG in the U.S. Army. I was selected for promotion in 2014 to the rank of SFC. I received a General Officer Memorandum of Reprimand for a offense I did not commit and the GOMOR caused me to lose my promotion and ultimately be recommended for separation under the QMP. Due to the fact I was selected for QMP I was automatically labeled as a bad Soldier and was not going to be in the Army much longer. I sought legal guidance from Mr. Toney and it was the best decision I have ever made in my military career. Mr. Toney linked me directly with the personnel I needed to talk to and he submitted two packets to DASEB on my behalf and was successful on both requests. Mr. Toney directly contacted the general officer who gave me the GOMOR and explained why it was wrong. He then asked the officer to contact DASEB on my behalf to remove the GOMOR, which he did. Mr. Toney is not just the best military lawyer you could ever hire, he is an amazing person who will guide you through tough and overwhelming times. The worse feeling in the world is that you’re going to lose a 17-year career and retirement and have to start over. Mr. Toney saved my career and my retirement. I cannot thank him enough for the tireless effort he has put into my career, my future, and my family’s future. We are now going to work to get my promotion restored!

I paid Joel Fry to defend me against Connie Matthews on charges of domestic violence. Durango is a small town. Everyone knows everyone. Connie owned a business around the corner from Joel’s office.
I told Joel that Connie attacked me multiple times. That the third time she was attacking me I pushed her off. Police arrived and I was arrested.
Joel continued to tell me to plea guilty, because he said, “The Judge will send you to jail.”. I trusted him and did. It’s now on my record. I remember him saying, “You’re retired. This conviction will not affect you.”
It came to light that Connie, single and 60, knew Joel, single and 60 and they both pretended not to know one another.
From my experience Joel Fry is not honest.
So beware.
