Adolfo has represented my husband now for eight years. My husband's case is extremely complicated, but Adolfo is very knowledgeable in immigration law, and because of him my husband is still here. Here is a good example of how honest he is: When I first met him my husband was detained, and Adolfo told me from the get-go he did not think my husband would be eligible to get out on a bond, and if he did get out he said it would be at least $10,000 . My husband did get out on a bond for $5000. As you can see he was completely honest, and has been throughout the eight years he has represented my husband. We are honored to have him as our lawyer.

I hired Ojeda as our immigration attorney after having reached out to and talking with four other highly rated attorneys. I finally hired him after having to fire an attorney that was rated 10 here on Avvo. I'm so thankful I found Ojeda through word of mouth, it changed everything! I've never had to go through anything like this, it's confusing, and overwhelming. It's honestly scary to have to trust someone you don't know to handle something so big, so important. There's a reason people will tell you to hire him. He's honest, he's real, he works hard, and he's insanely knowledgeable. And he was willing to share that knowledge with us, even about little things like how to visit or send things. He knew so much more than the other attorneys, and he has the experience and wins in court to back that knowledge up. If your loved one is in there, have them ask around. They will tell though how good he is, and how many cases he is winning and how many people he had helped. We are so thankful to Ojeda and I will tell everyone who needs a great immigration attorney to hire him, because that is what he truly is. If you read this Ojeda, thank you thank you thank you for how much you have done for us so far and everything you are still doing.

This attorney lost my case file. Bar did not care, of course, as he was the former head of it. Stay away if you care about competent representation. That said, the entire profession is so unbelievably incompetent that sometimes having an incompetent attorney is not unhelpful. Leland is well connected with the corrupt cronies, well done you get your one star.

I retained Mr. Ripley with an IOLTA audit that arisen. He was understanding of my situation, clearly had a strong background in these issues and knew what he was talking about. He was very good with communication, usually responding within an hour or less to any questions I had. The end result was much better than what I had been warned about and expecting. I read the other review posted about Lee, and I can say after practicing law for 17 years, it's frustrating when a client agrees to something, later has "buyer's remorse" about their decision (usually after talking to friends who have no idea what they're talking about), and blames it on their attorney for brokering the deal that they agreed to. This has been a very stressful and embarrassing chapter in my life, and I'm grateful that Lee's experience and skills made it much better than what I may have been facing.

I had two knee surgeries, was the victim of domestic violence which left me with destroyed computers and a multiple broken ribs and Lee did not present any evidence of these mitigating factors before coercing me to enter an agreement with the bar associated that resulted in my suspension. No client had complained, I simply messed up a few deposits unwittingly. He charged me over 4,000 to ask for a continuance when my father was on his death bed. I question the authenticity of the hours he worked because the resulting work product was nonexistent. I would have been better off representing myself and after discussing the matter more thoroughly with other attorneys, I feel leaving this review is important and I definitely hope that if you are faced with obstructionist allegations from the bar association that you seek more competent counsel.
