Adam did a great job fighting the insurance company and getting me the money I deserved. He is very smart, hardworking, but most importantly, he cared about me, my family and my case. He is a great lawyer and has become a great friend.

Shollenberger Januzzi & Wolfe are without a doubt, some of the finest at what they do. I was in a motorcycle accident, in late November of 2022. The injuries I sustained were substantia. I was completely immobilized for a good portion of my recovery. While I was layed up in a rehabilitation center, I had given some thought about what had actually happened. What would the after affects be? Could I recover from this? How will this play a roll in the rest of my life? At this point, I decided to have a family member gather information, and help me find a lawfirm. After careful consideration, I went with "Shollenberger Januzzi & Wolfe, LLP" One day later...Adam Wolfe is in my rehab room, alongside my bedridden, broken self. We spoke about the accident, everything that lead up to that specific day, and how I wanted to move forward. Adam was caring, genuine, carasmatic, and I knew that day, that he was the man for the job. Long would be the path of recovery, but Adam...and his team, were there every step of the way. They provided a plan, a path, and a destination. The entire process was explained thoroughly, as we proceeded. Adam was careful to be certain everything was understood. In only 17 months from my original meet up, Adam Wolfe, and his team have settled my case, got me what was truly mine, gave me faith in my future, and all without even going to trial! Need I say more!? I think not! But those who know me know, I never shut up! Adam Wolfe has been a fantastic lawyer, his team is like a well oiled machine. I would reccomend Adam to anyone, and everyone I know. I do not consider Adam as my lawyer only, I consider him as a friend! You won't find many...if any to match him!!

Adam wasn't the first lawyer that we had talked to after my accident, but he was the last. From day one, Adam was fighting along side of us. His experience and wealth of knowledge has helped finish our case with no set backs or surprises. He has been one step ahead of all other parties. Injury lawyers may hold a certain "reputation" with the public, but Adam shatters that with his down to earth personality. It feels like I am talking to a friend every time that he calls. I highly recommend him and his firm.

When I was in early twenties I got convicted of a crime and Dauphin county that did not commit. Long story short to spend at the time was a public defender and after a two year battle I got found not guilty with an over assuming amount of evidence that Damian put together. When I saw this I thought , young, smart , and delligent, and I'm so thankful for his professional advice and having him as my council I would recommend this man to anybody.

Yeah, not sure what to make of dude. He said he'd take my case; I was to send him my evidence and he would send me prices. I thought it was weird so I only sent him half the evidence at first... just incase cause.. er something was fishy.. then.. bloop never heard from him again. After waiting two weeks..and several texts later I called the bar. They gave me someone else. Like, you guys know we can leave reviews right? Derp.. would not recommend. I guess maybe I was boring.. sorry I'm not an exciting criminal... must have other "cool" things going on.. the bar gave me someone else and I actually won.. hmm imagine that. My faith is partially restored. So, he can have 2 stars.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.

  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.

For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
