Tonya Gibbs Penn is the exception, not the rule. Not only did she have tremendous compassion with our case, but she also proved to be a brilliant attorney who demonstrates a true interest in her clients and their cases.
We live in Nashville and wanted someone to represent us who would really care about our case. Trust was an important factor because our case was in Virginia and we’re in Tennessee, about ten hours from court.
Ms. Penn not only made sure that we understood the specifics of our current case, but she also explained what we would need to expect going forward. She never ignored any communication or kept us guessing. She was forthright and highly responsive.
More importantly, no one else would’ve been so willing to peel back the layers of the case and ask the questions that she asked in order to get the best information to help us better prepare for the future.

Sarah Patras was our attorney in a Family case where a lot of paperwork was involved and a lot of serious issues and inaccurate information needed to be addressed. I hired Lindsay for a divorce case, and a protective order case. I was in a really bad place when I came to Lindsay I was fighting false allegations of family abuse. She was able to help me through my divorce retaining my visitation rights and got the protective order dismissed. The car I was driving was hit nearly head-on by an out-of-state, unemployed, uninsured, young-adult driver who never responded to his several court summons. I had to have two operations, plus I had to remodel my house in order to accomodate a wheelchair. I needed all the financial help I could get. Tracy knew exactly how to present my case to Medicare and to my backup Federal BCBS insurance, as well as to my car insurance company. Had I been on my own through this paperwork nightmare, I may have had to sell my house just to pay my bills. I was getting a lot of pain medication and I could not concentrate well...her patience and courtesy to me were outstanding.

I had Dori for the first half of a case with the previous firm she was at. Unfortunately she left the firm before my trial date. I am sure she was unable to inform me about her departure because of contract or whatever. I wish that she could have represented me at trial for my child custody matter, because I felt like she had much more confidence and would have gotten me better results. I tried finding her online but had no luck. She was familiar with my case and I felt like she actually believed in me as a father, which in turn she naturally would have fought harder. She was always quick to respond to any emails or phone calls---always within 24 business hours. I would strongly recommend Dori.

Jasmine represented me in a custody case regarding my 12 year old where his father was requesting a drastic change in the visitation we have had for most of my son’s lie. I had a lot of anxiety surrounding this process and felt very uneducated and unprepared. I was represented by this law firm during my divorce and I was let down as a father. I found them using the employee support group benefit I had and which they are apart of Elizabeth was a great talker and these firm will bill you. Right before my court date when she was suppose to represent me she was exposed to COVID. I asked for a continuance. This was because I felt she knew my case the best. She assured me her partner would be able to help me this in a four day turn around. Well It did not turn out well for me I ended up losing on all grounds. The property and lost more time with my daughter due to the new custody arrangement custody because of the lack of preparation by her replacement. He also stated he was not happy representing me because of ESG agreement which capped his hour rate this was in the court house. She was able to recover and clear up some issues later on when we cleared up the custody but by then the damage was done. AVOID THIS FIRM. Specifically Anthony Williams who was the replacement.

Sunny is so down to earth, always there to answer my calls or emails. When Sarah was busy, she was quick to answer and replay back with great advice,

Ted Butler was the attorney my wife hired to represent her in a contentious child custody and divorce case, which has been fraught with conflict. Initially, I harbored reservations about Mr. Butler, given that part of my ex-wife's strategy involved attempts to have me arrested, file multiple protective orders against me, and accuse me of spousal and child abuse. While it seemed initially that Ted Butler was complicit in this strategy, it became apparent over time that he may not have been fully informed about the complete truth, plans, or actions of his client. Throughout the ongoing divorce proceedings, I have come to believe that Ted Butler is an honest individual who strives to do his best for his clients. I am convinced that without Ted Butler's representation, my ex-wife's outcomes in court would have been significantly worse.
As a former military combat veteran, my ex-wife consistently uses PTSD against me, despite my disability being rated at only 10 percent. It was a central component of her argument that I posed a danger to her and our children due to PTSD. While Ted Butler vigorously advocated for his client, he did not exploit my military service against me in court, despite my ex-wife's persistence in doing so.
Although my divorce case is still pending, and Ted Butler is likely to remain my ex-wife's attorney, I want to acknowledge him as an honest and honorable attorney who fights vigorously but fairly.

Nicole O'Neal is very knowledgeable, professional, caring, and came highly recommended from my previous attorney. If you're a father looking to get out of paying child support this is your guy! He will allow you to send in nothing but some random numbers typed up from "your business" while dragging the mother all over the ends of the earth to retain any and all of her financial output/input. In the end I was pressured by him and his client to "make signing this a priority" because his client couldn't make it to court.
