Not only is David Zoglio a fantastic lawyer, he is an amazing family man. He made me feel relaxed and at ease during very stressful circumstances. Yet, he never sugar coated anything. He was very open and honest, explaining everything in great detail. During my case he produced a legal term book, read a definition out loud, and slammed it on the table. Thus, winning my case. I would trust this man with any future legal matter I may have. He is simply the best there is.

I am a licensed attorney in Michigan, but I'm not familiar with the state's probate administration laws. My parents recently passed away and trying to navigate the laws and procedures was becoming overwhelming. I consulted with Mr. Vauter on several probate matters and he provided me with excellent advice and helpful forms to answer my questions. I would recommend Mr. Vauter and his team to anyone who needs help navigating the complex probate system.

Went to Bradley a couple of years ago for a consultation regarding an elder parent. We were impressed with his knowledge and advice. When a more complicated matter came up with another parent, Bradley was the first person we thought of and he didn't let us down. We never could have pulled off what he did in such a short amount of time. Many thanks to him for his expertise, humor, empathy, and work ethic.

Truly an absolute pleasure to have had the blessing of this woman's work in my life. She set the bar with her strategic demeanor from the get go my husband had a fighting chance and that's something she never forget to remind me and everyone else in the court proceedings. I'm upset there isn't a higher rating to be honest this woman loves law and it shows 10 out of 10. if Ms love is who your thinking about choosing do not dwell any longer .she's what this legal system has been missing . The complete arsenal of legal knowledge and comprehension Ms. Love is a 1 in a life time lawyer.

DO NOT HIRE this attorney. Especially if you are a victim of domestic violence, Nicole will always protect the abuser. Even though I was protected under Clinton county domestic violence, safe center, and I should have been protected by VAWA ( violence against women act) according to the Michigan Housing Authority - Nicole did not utilize them or even mention it to the courts. Nicole’s motive was to protect the abuser. Never me . Instead she made me believe that I deserved what I got. And told me to plead guilty to domestic violence, even though I had never been in trouble or have any kind of record at all in my life .The Housing Authority called the county police to inform them of what was going on that I was trying to leave, and The abuser was not living in the home. I was arrested for domestic violence after calling 911 because Nicole was my lawyer the abuser not only became a victim. He also was allowed to move into my home take and keep everything that my children and I owned, including evidence Against him . If that wasn’t bad enough the day I was arrested after being beaten, Nobody saw me medical attention. I had a traumatic brain injury caused the day of my arrest from the abuser. Nicole failed to tell the judge that I had a brain injury that the abuser did not live in the home. She did not advocate nor have my best interest in mind at any point . Nicole is there to make deals with the prosecutor that is all if you are looking for an attorney that cares and will fight for you. This is not the one.

Great lawyer for plea baragins. But don't believe him when he says you will fight. Talked to many other lawyers that are fighters that laughed at his process, and warned me that his talks about fighting it and litigation were just going to be false hopes. And way too expensive on any question you ask. 5 stars though for a plea bargain lawyer

We had the pleasure of meeting and developing a relationship with Mr. Newburg in 2012 when our 19 year old son found himself in need of legal representation involving illegal substances. Mr. Newburg laid out a plan for defending our son and over the course of many months did a very professional job working to keep us informed of all correspondence and updates from the court system. This time in our lives as a family was extremely difficult, but Mr. Newburg helped us throughout the entire process to remain hopeful. The end result for our son was a solid defense that allowed the judge to give our son minimal, yet fair, consequences for the circumstances. We would definitely recommend Mr. Newburg to anyone seeking legal representation.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.

If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
