Ethan came highly recommended to us from a good friend. We had found ourselves in a peculiar real estate claim after discovering a mound of damage and rot to our home’s foundation that wasn’t disclosed in our sellers/buyer’s agreement. He was very honest with us that the bread and butter of his practice lied mostly in personal injury claims, but he had some experience in construction/real estate law as well. This was the first time my husband and I had ever had to hire a lawyer and we can honestly say that Ethan was wonderful. We didn’t get the expected outcome that we wanted with our claim, but to no fault of Ethan’s. The claim really was tricky, but we had to try. My son was in some really questionable situations with his Dad. I found Rob quickly on google and made a panic call. He called me back, talked to me for an hour or so to get a feel for my case, and we set an appointment. I was immediately impressed by him. My case was tricky, but Rob calmed my anxious mind time and time again. He never made me feel like I was a burden. I never felt taken advantage of by him and he was sensitive to my financial situation. He went the extra mile by hiring outside help when needed, and we were able to keep my son out of further harms way. He was always honest with how certain situations might play out in court. He didn’t encourage revenge or unnecessary actions that might’ve made him money. His knowledge and experience and contacts really played a huge role. Rob represented me during my divorce - has counseled me several times over the years with many different issues and through it all has maintained a sense of compassion and fairness. I would (and have) recommend(ed) Rob to anyone who wants an honest attorney who will give you advice on how to save money and time - he isn’t the attorney for you if your only desire is to punish your ex - or take your kids back no matter the cost. He is the attorney if you want to know what the judge would say - if you want to know the worst and best case - and if you don’t want to feel manipulated and like you just spent your last penny. First I need to say who I am to give what I have to say any value.
I am a Christian, Father, Marine Veteran, and a Nurse in my Mid 30's.
My mistake with Robert is that at first, I only used him for consultation when I should have had him represent me from the beginning . I thought I was smart and I could do this on my own. I was wrong and at the first court hearing it cost me both custody of my son and financially with child support.
After that I knew I needed to put it all on the table, barrow money, take out a loan. I did what ever it took to have Robert represent me and try to get my son back.
Two things need to be mentioned. First is you wont find cheaper out there for his 30 plus years skill set. Second is Robert is a lawyer, Not a banker.
When I say Not a banker, Robert had many opportunities to let things go in a direction that would of benefited him greatly with lawyer fees but he didn't.
Robert not only represented me, he also represented my financial well being. He directed my case so that most of the fees fell on opposing party. Luckily my ex hired a banker and not a lawyer and was happy to run up her charges.
Not only that, I kept a detailed log of all the text, email, phone calls, meetings etc I had with Robert and every time he well undercharged me.
A few times I wanted the case to go in a direction that I thought was best, I was wronged and I wanted justice. Robert respectfully advised that some things will cost you more than they are worth. Once again looking out for my well being when I was blinded by hurt and could not see a clear path.
Robert is reliable, accurate, and fast. Every time Robert had gotten back to me within the Hour or at the most same day. He also knows how to put the pressure on opposing party and get results fast.
At the end of my case. Robert not only got me my son back, I got everything and didn't have to pay child support. Way more than I thought that I would get.
I told him that his Humanity was greater than many than I have seen in my life so far and this is true when someone takes less and does more to help a complete stranger.
And what really impressed me was that not only did he help my case in the moment, he made sure that the agreed ruling would protect my son and I for the future. That's why I say Robert does not just represent you, he represents your well being.
There are not words that I could say or write that could show how grateful I am that you helped get my son back.

My wife had a personal injury claim and it was nearing the date requiring settlement or law suit, we needed advice on how to proceed, we were given Emery Wang as a contact by a friend whom is an attorney but was not licensed in Oregon. We called Mr Wang and he advised us on how to deal with the insurance company, he helped us through the process and the amounts our claim should be worth. He was willing to take our case on very short notice if we needed to file suit. With the information Mr Wang provided us we were able to settle with out a law suit. This firm came highly recommended by two different attorneys who didn’t know him personally, but knew of his reputation as an honest person who looks out for the best interest of his clients. Contacting Ms. Kelich by aavo.com was a little like throwing darts at a dartboard. I emailed a handful of different lawyers--several of whom responded quickly and helpfully--but Ms. Kelich was incredible. From her very first email, it was obvious that she was passionate about helping and extremely well-versed in her field. Beyond that, her thoughtful and thorough advice gave us great confidence that she views her work as more than just a way to earn her living. Many professionals seem inclined, understandably I guess, to put the fee discussion at the forefront of the conversation. This experience was totally different. Ms. Kelich made the value of her services obvious before the discussion advanced to the financial component. In any case, I feel like she's a wonderful value for money as well. We have hit the bullseye with Ms. Kelich! I would strongly recommend her professional services to anyone that wants to feel like they are their lawyer's #1 client.

There are two things we would like to cover in this review for Tom Melville.
First would be our good fortune in actually finding
Mr. Melville. We do not live in the Portland area and went forward with hiring him on the recommendation of another Attorney (who is a friend in the State of Oregon). Our first meeting was friendly, casual, and professional. This wrongful death case was going to have to be handled long distance and he made certain we were well informed and prepared. Never did we feel like we were left with unanswered questions.
Secondly, This case was complicated in many ways but I think the biggest part was to prove that our sister's death was indeed hastened by the after affects of this collision and Not cancer (which was listed on her death certificate).
Two weeks after retirement our sister was broad sided by a large delivery truck that ran a stop sign on a rural road. She was in the hospital for a month...and never recovered. A LOT of effort was made by Mr. Melville to secure medical records and present proof that her broken neck, leg and back led her down a pathway she didn't deserve and the quality of life in her last month is not one she hoped for or planned.
The settlement was fair and we are absolutely pleased with the outcome. He fought hard for us every step of the way!
We surely found the right person for our case and ....
We highly recommend Tom Melville.

Walking through divorce is the absolute worst, but Natalie and her team make it so much simpler and manageable. In the legal world where it all seems overwhelming and confusing, she me feel able to cope and understand what was in front of me. They prepared me for each step along the way. Natalie sought to understand what my priorities were from the very beginning and never backed down from fighting for those things. She always spoke truth, even when it was hard to hear, and constantly reminded me not to speculate but rather focus on what was in front of me. She was compassionate and understood the difficulty I was being faced with and recommended some solid steps to help in the healing process as well. Im gona go ahead and leave a review here, bc I think at the Vancouver office they delete the BAD reviews. I’m just trying to give back to my community, and the best way I thought is to let everyone know to NEVER EVER EVER hire these lawyers. My case took TWO YEARS TO SETTLE. They never answer the phone or email or text, the only way they do reply to you is if you tell them you will consult another lawyer. PLEASE DONT DO THIS TO YOURSELF, and research a better lawyer. They also had given me an amount to settle to then proceed to short me like over a thousand dollars claiming the insurance people couldn’t figure the medical costs………. Blah blah I was so disgusted with their service that I just took it. But dont let this happen to you nice friend reading. RUN TO THE HILLS AND DONT HIRE these people.

I’m going to be vague intentionally, but I agree with the other low ratings. Missed appointments, low effort, seemed to not want to be bothered with my case while taking my money and then telling me I was probably in trouble and would talk to me later. This without knowing all the facts, or wanting to hear them. He was also snippy and harsh when it wasn’t necessary. Trust the low ratings. He’s no longer interested in fighting for his clients.

I made a lot of poor decisions as a young adult. Consequently I was convicted of driving under the influence on three different occasions spanning from the time I was 18 to 29 years old, resulting in a “lifetime suspension” of my driving privileges. I thought my life was over. But I kept grinding. Eventually I got sober. I changed my life and stayed out of trouble. Ten years later I was eligible for reinstatement. I contacted Mr. Weiner and asked for help. I told him my story and he never once talked down to me, He was very pleasant to deal with. And he gave me clear instructions on what paperwork he would need and what we would need to do to prove I was rehabilitated. I had my hearing and the judge agreed that I deserved to get my license back. I’m so grateful to Jon and his team for all their help.

Seek council elsewhere. Doesn't respond to emails, is lacking in general knowledge, doesn't pay enough attention to your case to actually have the knowledge to fight for you, cares more about providing professional courtesies to other attorneys than fighting for you. Lacked the basic knowledge and foresight to see the repercussions that child support, parenting time, and alimony have on income and taxes and how that affects refinancing the family home. There was a pressing matter involving a parenting dispute. I called the office and emailed Chamber. She never responded. Months later I had another question. Emailed her and again, no response. I called the office looking for her and was treated like I wasn't even a client. Do yourself a favor and find someone competent.

I hired Chamber for my divorce, everything was very timely and professional. She told me exactly what to expect and was completely right on the money. Have also had her look at a contract for me and she broke it down for me and let me know it needed a couple of tweaks and then good to go.
