Mr Ortiz represented me in my divorce case. My ex husband and I had a business in common which complicated the divorce. I was in a very difficult divorce where I had just lost jurisdiction. Thus, the case was going to be handled in Colorado, rather than Virginia, where I live. My attorney in Virginia was incredibly bad, and I wasted a lot of money on that short case alone (I shouldn't have lost).
I was referred to Greg by a colleague of my father's from another state. I am incredibly grateful that I found Greg. One would assume that having a divorce attorney located literally across the country would be frustrating. It was not, in any way. The distance could have been a mile, and it would not have been any different. He not only kept me constantly informed, but he was also incredibly accessible. While most attorneys are available during business hours, or by phone and email, Greg was even accessible via text. Who does that?! Thus, if I had an emergency, or quick advice, he was swift to answer. And it's not like he was charging me for every little bit of communication. He was honest, and he was good.
Greg listened to my concerns and reviewed the case honestly. He didn't pull punches, and he was always candid with me about the likelihood of winning. He kept me even keeled, gave me excellent advice, and above all, he was wise in everything he did. Wisdom is an extremely rare trait to have. He has it in abundance. It's not knowledge. It's not smarts. It's different.
In the end, I won! It's difficult enough being a male in a divorce/custody case. It's even more difficult when you're in the military and live in Virginia. But I won. And while some things dropped in our laps, I owe my win to Greg. I am forever grateful to him.

Miss Gomolson worked on my case for 4 years, I didn't know a divorce and custody battle could last as long or get as ugly as it did. Miss Gomolson operates on a strict policy of sticking to the truth and not swaying even a little bit away from it.
My Case involved just about anything you can think of from child neglect, child abuse , drug abuse and mental health issues. Kate also had to deal with a ton of false accusations throughout the entire process not only did she take them on she proved each and everyone of them out to be false discrediting the petitioner every single time. Miss Gomolson filed motions only as needed always trying to keep my finances in mind. The petitioner in our case had a total of 4 lawyers and we had a total of 6 judges throughout the process making Kates job very hard and frustrating. Kate never seemed rattled and took every lawyer and judge on as if it was a normal thing, with all the judge and lawyer changes it seemed like we were starting over at every court appearance having to bring everyone back up to speed. Divorce is an ugly thing and I do not want to go through it again but if I do Kate would be my only choice of attorney. Throughout the custody battle Kate was able to get my children out of danger and in to my custody. Not only did she get me full custody she got me in to the proper therapy and made some really good recommendations to help me through the tough times. Miss Gomolson is a stand up lawyer and I would recommend her to anyone.

I was very fortunate to find Mr Peotter to handle a complicate legal matter for my daughter. I was considering trying to file the appropriate forms myself at the county Recorders Office. If you are in need of a trial attorney for parental disputes, I can't imagine anyone being better than Jeff Town. What I found admirable about Jeff was that he was very accessible throughout the whole process. He was attentive to everything that I had asked and worked diligently to do everything to avoid court. I specifically addressed concerns about being passed between attorneys and becoming just a number after paying the retainer. The attorney assured me of consistent communication within two days and that she would remain my sole point of contact.
My case was straightforward: securing court-ordered visitation with my son. Initially, communication was excellent, with prompt email responses. However, after paying the retainer, responsiveness drastically declined. When my son's mother cut off direct communication, requiring all contact through attorneys, I struggled to reach mine. After a week of silence, a paralegal dismissively stated she was "very busy." I also discovered the attorney had filed incorrect paperwork, effectively delaying my case.
Adding to the frustration, the accounting department demanded I replenish my retainer without acknowledging my communication issues or case progress. Shortly after, I was informed, without prior notice or explanation, that a new attorney would be handling my case. I received no refund for the incorrect paperwork filed.
The entire experience was a nightmare. I ultimately sought and found competent representation elsewhere. The only positive aspect was the Customer Relations Manager, who contacted me at the end. She was professional and helpful, earning a five-star rating. However, this single positive interaction couldn't salvage the overall negative experience with the firm.
