Had a great experience with LMD Law Firm and would highly recommend them to anyone needing legal representation. George Angelaidis represented me with my legal matter and was absolutely awesome. When I was refinancing my house and found out that because Mom and I purchased the house jointly then I had to file a probate. I looked up some numbers online, made some calls and after I stated my case, the legal aide gave me the number for 2 quick probate attorneys. I am so glad that the first number I called was Dawn and believe me I have not looked back or tried to call the 2nd number.
Dawn was very professional and told me what to do and what her fees were. The process was so easy and it took less that 2 months to get the probate taken care of. Dawn thank you so much and I am much grateful for what you have done. When my Aunt died in 2013, I had no idea it would take until 2018 to unravel the complexities of her estate, as a non-USA citizen living in Europe.
As Dawn helped us with one issue, another unexpected element would crop up, creating yet more and more paperwork for both Dawn and us to go through.
Throughout this period Dawn was clear in what we needed to do next, supported us far beyond her mandate, and as the months rolled into years , was as supportive as any Attorney could be.
From her first response to our initial request for help, to following through to completion of the Probate for my Aunt, she could not have been more supportive and professional.
She was patient to the extreme , answering every tiny question and query we had in a professional and just as importantly quickly, and truly helped us navigate the USA Probate system as a non resident alien living thousands of miles away !

After being dropped by multiple attorneys because of a complicated case relating to my SSDI Appeals, Ms. Wilburne and the staff assured me that they would do everything they could to resolve my denial. She informed me of the good, the bad, and the ugly. All of my calls were returned by the next business day and the staff always had an answer.... If they didnt know it they would have joanne follow up with me directly. I would def. recommend this atty to anyone who was ready to give up like I was.

I was referred to the Law office of Joanne Wilburne 2 years ago, and am thankful I was. She and her staff are extremely professional and competent to handle any and all your needs. They are both reassuring and caring that the job will get done and done right. Joanne, is the best laywer I have ever dealt with. This is not a processing plant, where the attorney does not know you, but rather, they handle each case individually. I had come to Joanne at a time where I had been denied SS Disability, and another practice did not follow appeal in time, so I brought Joanne a huge MESS, but, she dealt with it, and handled it all in a timely and professional manner. Honestly, like I have said to her and her staff, who would ever go thru this process alone, this is the best choice anyone can make, and worth the call. I would recommend Joanne to my family and friends. Am sincerly thankful.

Spent over 20,000 for someone who was always on the opposing parties side. My boyfriend hired Charles Vaughn through a recommendation from another lawyer, took all his money basically, knew the guy who was his wife’s ex husband, aren’t you supposed to recuse yourself if you knew the other parties Exs etc? Does nothing but emails. Charges like 75$ per one email. Does nothing to help you. Told my bf that he would have to pay 30,000 extra in court fees and him charging him. He’s a ripoff. I highly recommend everyone should report him to the Florida bar. We are filing a complaint and maybe trying for more. Now he has to pay 70,000 for his ex wife whose NOT ON THE HOUSE DEED, DID NOT PAY NO BILLS, took out her 401k and apparently she gets to keep it but she gets his. She is lying about where she’s living. He didn’t do a good job at all. I could write a book about how much he screws people over. He’s basically a lawyer that fights for the other party. Also he lives in Montana!

It was a long road, but without her the jail time would have been way longer. Felony court is not a place you want to go to unprepared, especially if the state feels they have a strong enough case. Roxanne really does her homework and she will learn the case backwards and forwards. She is a very down to earth person but she's still professional when needed. I know we all wish return phone calls were quicker, but all lawyers are busy. She really handled my case well, and if I'm ever in the same position I would hire her again. I liked how she explained what everything meant, the charges, the options, best or worst of everything; witnesses, statements, depos, evidence, etc. She also has experience around all the local and some of the distant lawyer so she can navigate some as to what to expect from them if up against them in court. That is a huge plus. It was a very long case and I wished it away everyday for more than a year at least. Now that it's over looking back, I did the best by hiring her, I have my life back mostly and I'm extremely grateful for it. There were so many depos and statements to go over, page by page, sentence by sentence, making timelines, verifying each printed word, listening to recordings, asking for evidence from the SA can be challenging, especially if the case should have been handled by a different agency altogether. So many paperwork errors! As an example,seeing a date over a year BEFORE the incident date occurred. Roxanne honed in on all of it, I liked that, proving more and more of the injustice. If you can get a hold of your paperwork, double check everything! You won't be sorry. In the end, I really felt she did all that she could in my best interest, obviously dropped would have been better, but there is no such thing anymore as an accident. Oh, it took me awhile to figure out why the process involves so much and costs so much, its like planning a wedding... You have all the preparations to do and pay for and the waiting until the day arrives, but... either the bride or the groom WILL change their mind.. you still needed everything for the wedding whether it happens or not, just like hiring expert witnesses and things like crash experts, reconstructionists, High tech blood lab experts, mapping experts, Coast guard personnel , rule book interpreters, etc. These are all necessary for the case to go to trial, whether it goes or not, you still need them there and ready for the big day. Roxanne handled it all and she explained the purpose and lines of questioning for each. You will feel at ease with her, whether because of her professionalism or her down to earth personality. I'm not the best writer, but I think you get what I'm saying. She's good at her job and she cares about you as well, and I felt it. I was so nervous on the last pre-trial conference day, but she got me through it.

Charlie lacked the legal knowledge to navigate a complex divorce case and the skill to argue or articulate the true issues. Instead of representing me, it routinely felt like he represented opposing counsel to me. His work was extremely expensive and produced negative results. We lost every hearing on every issue which resulted in an absolute landslide loss. Now that I have new counsel, they are showing me the string of mistakes Charlie made, most of which a novice attorney would catch.

I just read the two reviews below, and pondered the question how could I have had the most amazing experience with Ms. Jodi Zacaria, and then actually felt saddened to read two “not favorable” reviews? Yes, my heart actually dropped. Here it is in a nutshell. If you win your case, you have amazing things to say about your lawyer. If not, well you feel compelled to bash them. People be disappointed with the “system”, not this lawyer. I found her to be exact, prompt in her responses to me, and a beast with the judge. (Beast is a positive btw) As soon as the judge asked his first question, I heard her defend me. I literally sat back took a deep breath, and knew if I won my case, it wasn’t going to be on my own merit. Her skill was abrupt! The judge even said after she (Ms. Zakaria) questioned me “Iv heard enough”. Another words, you don’t need to go on, I can see this women’s suffering. Do you know how that makes you feel after fighting an unmovable beast, to finally see that light at the end of a very dark tunnel?! Yes, if your reading this, I know you do know how that feels. Please know ever lawyer learns from “the system” the longer they’ve been in it. Ms. Zakarias skill has been refined. Maybe a few years back, she still had something to learn? But today? Today shes got it about as ‘down pat’ as it gets. I adored everything about her. I wish I could thank her more honestly. Ms. Zakaria if your reading this, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I WENT TO JODI TO FILE A SOCIAL SECURITY CLAIM FOR DISABILITY SEEN HER MAYBE 3 TIMES ALL TOGETHER IN 2 YEARS. WENT TO HER THE DAY BEFORE MY HEARING WITH A JUDGE AND SHE TOLD ME WHAT TO EXPECT, WHAT SHE WOULD ASK ME AND SO ON. WELL, THE NEXT DAY BEFORE THE JUDGE IT DID NOT HAPPEN AT ALL LIKE SHE SAID. SHE DID NOT ASK ME BUT LIKE 2 THINGS WE HAD DISCUSSED AND DID NOT TELL THE JUDGE THINGS SHE SHOULD HAVE. SHE HAD NOT EVEN LOOKED UP THIS JUDGE TO SEE HER RATINGS WHICH MOST LAWYERS DO - THIS JUDGE 80% OF THE TIME DOES NOT GIVE WOMEN SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS. IF JODI HAD LOOKED THAT UP MAYBE SHE WOULD HAVE KNOWN SHE HAD TO GO IN FULL FORCE. ANYWAY, WHEN RECEIVED THE LETTER THAT I HAD LOST WITH THE JUDGE, I CALLED JODI'S OFFICE BECAUSE IT SAID IF I WANTED TO APPEAL I HAD SO MUCH TIME TO DO IT IN. I WAS ASK BY THE SECURITY WHY I NEEDED TO TALK TO JODI, I TOLD HER, SHE THEN SAID I COULD TALK TO JODI'S ASSISTANT BUT NOT JODI AND THAT JODI DID NOT DO APPEAL AND THAT MY CASE WAS OVER WITH THEM AND THAT THE LETTER I HAD PROBABLY HAD A NAME OF AN APPEALS LAWYER ON IT I COULD FIND AN APPEAL LAWYER ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE IF NOT SHE GAVE ME A NUMBER TO ONE. SERIOUSLY MY CASE WAS DONE AND I COULD NOT TALK TO JODI. THEN I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM JODI'S OFFICE TELLING ME I OWED HER LIKE " $150.00. FOR WHAT THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO GET MONEY "UNLESS" YOU WIN. I LOOKED IT WAS AN ITEMIZED BILL WITH FORS FOR LETTERS SHE MAILED TO ME, EVERY STAMP SHE SENT ME A LETTER IN. EVERY FAX SHE DONE, EVERYTHING SHE CLAIMS SHE HAD TO ASK THE DOCTORS TO SEND. BUT GET THIS EVERY TIME I WENT TO ANY DOCTOR I WENT TO HER OFFICE OR MAILED HER OUT ANY PAPERWORK I COULD GET FROM THEM ABOUT WHATEVER THEY DONE WITH ME SO WHAT WAS IT THAT SHE HAD TO GET FROM THEM ??? AND WHEN IT SAYS YOU DO NOT PAY IF WE DO NOT WIN AND SHE DIDN'T, SO WHY AM I BEING CHARGED ????? SHE HAS A FAX MACHINE IN HER OFFICE SO WHY CHARGE ME TO SEND A FAX. JUST CRAZY. AND WAITED 2 YEARS TO GET THE HEARING BEFORE THE JUDGE TO FIND THAT THE JUDDGE

As a client I found Jodi Zakaria to be untrustworthy, not totally true in her responses to questions asked by me the client. Her paralegal, Amy, joined my case in the last 3 months and did not provide a professional or courteous attitude but, she provided red tape. They made NO attempts to contact me to provide updates. They sold me on the fact that "Jodi Zakaria" would be there through the whole process but, after an unfavorable decision by the ALJ, Deborah A. Arnold, her paralegal told me that they could NOT handle the appeal after being assured by Michelle, which was the first point of contact when my case began! Jodi did NOT even tell me this in my follow-up after I received my denial letter. I guess she was too afraid to talk to her client. Under the guise of hearing preparation and attorney client privilege I was involved in preparation 2 months before my hearing she asked questions but, somehow the questions and answers were recorded verbatim under the facts of the unfavorable decision. Jodi and her paralegal did not even request required records to support claim but, she did request records to show me in a negative light instead for a positive decision. When asked why? Jodi gave no answers but, her paralegal said we are limited to the amount of records we can request. So, if your evidence is from more than 2 yrs. back they won't retrieve it eventhough it supports your claim. On top of that, one date of the records they did request was for a date in which I wasn't even being seen by my doctor but, she used those records which were inconsistent. They were friendly until confronted with their errors and lack of knowledge then they didn't want to answer or come up with excuses or red tape. For the amount that any attorney charges for a disability case which is usually 25% the services are NOT equivalent to what you are paying for. When an attorney doesn't want to answer questions, beware......they aren't on your side. I failed to recognize this sign and other signs along this 2 1/2 year journey for a case that has been ongoing for 5 yrs. Jodi Zakaria even had the nerve to have her paralegal hand me a letter declining her involvement with an appeal with two attorney's listed who may handle my appeal. Why would this attorney think I would choose one of her referred attorney's for my appeal when I don't trust or recommend her services? Would I recommend this attorney? NO! My overall rating in review of this attorney is exactly what I got ZERO. Had to give her 1 star in order to post this review but, ZERO is the recommend stars. Sorry, when I cannot trust an attorney who is providing services for me on my behalf seriously jeopardizes her crediblilty!

Then one month I was told he is retiring called the next no answer just a recording stating he retired months after. He took my money then found out his license was suspended! A real crook. This attorney was "court appointed", not directly hired by us to handle this familys estate after the death of my mother. For the past 2 years we have been dealing with her refusing to speak to any of the heirs and not returning any of our phone calls. We are still waiting for substantial tax return that has been delayed for months.There was also issue with back taxes on property while in her care and we had to get her to pay them out of the monies that she is still holding onto. This family has been divided over this estate and we have pretty much begged them to get to the bottem of this and wrap it up. We recieved a letter from them re: the tax issue and we contacted the IRS and they said Haag is who we have to speak to even though WE ARE the heirs. She refuses to speak to us and tell us why the delay???? We want to be able to wash our hands of this attorney and we cannot do so until she finalizes our business. She is also being paid a substantial amount of "OUR" money for her services and she has treated us very poorley. She has been this cold and unprofessional from the beginning. I would not reccomend her to anyone. Ever.

I don't know if it was lack of knowledge, but it's been 2 years since we lost my Mother. It was alleged that the will provided for filing wasn't the original. For starters, I wasn't made aware of the fact that the law requires a will be filed within 10 days. I was led to believe that because a search didn't turn it up that intestate was the only option. It turns out an "Oath of Witness to Will" could have been submitted and would have prevented a lot of hard feelings in the family.
Of course there were other factors that further delayed the process, however complications snowballed and could have been avoided if the estate had been settled quickly.
Confusing court orders with deadlines weren't received on time because sufficient time wasn't allowed for delivery.
Fees changed 3 times despite having them in writing.
Despite being required by the bar to help, my requests for advice and unanswered questions are met with threats and accusations that have no basis in fact.
This lawyer is NOT client friendly. Call the lawyer referral service. Research available lawyers before making a choice.
I think a lawyer should be willing to listen to concerns and offer suggestions. This one isn't.

My divorce took 4 years to get finalized... I was not happy at all! The worst part is that my ex’s lawyer typed up the divorce papers and Lisa signed off on them evidently without reading them. I told her that the papers were wrong and it never go corrected.. She was a very nice attorney but I felt like I got screwed on my divorce. I had 3 years worth of documentation in yearly planners of my ex causing issues and not seeing his daughter which was never brought to the judge.. So here I am years later with shared custody when it should be full custody because my child’s dad hasn’t tried seeing her in 4 years.. Also like I said before my papers never were corrected as well when I was told they would be.. Then I could just never get a hold of her..

Lisa Yeager Gerstner aka Lisa Burgess is the worst attorney I have ever done business with. She does not return calls, she is unprepared, she is unprofessional, incompetent and has poor morals. Do not trust her with your case. You will be highly disappointed. I often wonder if the State of Florida is just handing out attorney degrees to anyone who asks for one. Look her up in the county clerk's records. It is public information. She even has a foreclosure case against her.

He was appointed to me on an over a year long case involving my children. He was never prepared to defend my side and it felt like he didn't have my best interests or my children's at heart. He was very accusatory and was never able to voice my concerns even though my caseplan was done and completed he never seemed to be able to produce evidence to support my behalf. Do not allow this lawyer to demean you.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. Don’t give her a dime of your money. As an attorney or a parent coordinator. Not worth it. Biggest waste of money ever. Will burn through your retainer on absolutely nothing. Will turn any hills into mountain in order to bill more.
