My wife and I just completed an update of our plan via Wynnie. She has big depth and breadth of subject matter expertise in all areas of estate planning, will help you customize a plan for your specific situation, and is just a great person to work with as you do this. She makes it fun!
High points: I was particularly pleased at her ability in illustrating various scenarios in tax efficacy. Also, my wife and I are early retirees, and each of us run our own passion businesses now, and she was able to help us address those specifics in our estate plan, in detail.
Bonus points: she's also a notary, so when your plan is complete, she handles that aspect also!
Five stars, strongly recommended-- don't put off this task, thinking it daunting, etc. With Wynnie, it's easy and enjoyable, and you'll walk away with peace of mind!

I've retained Dave on various legal issues for my business for about five years now. I first hired him to help deal with a breach of contract and he was able to resolve that without going to court or arbitration. What I most appreciate about Dave is he will neither talk down to me nor get caught up using jargon; instead of explaining things I can google for myself, he will explain what the actual legal issues are and provide insight coming from experience that aren't obvious to a layperson. Jerry is one of a kind. I've worked with him and Michele over the years on various matters and it's a relationship that I value a lot. Jerry is tough (He's a Marine), experienced/knowledgeable, and he can communicate in layman's terms extremely well - which probably comes easy for him because he really does care about helping his clients.
Jerry helped me with a boat insurance bad faith issue where my insurance company started bullying me, refusing to investigate my claim and fix my boat over the course of many months. I hired Jerry, and within a few weeks, the insurance company performed a full investigation and paid out on the claim.

I was involved in a motorcycle accident in the 90s after a truck cut me off in traffic. I contacted The Pearson Law Firm and Jerry and his staff were immediately helpful. It was bad enough being injured, but Jerry immediately took the stress of handling my own claim off of me so I could focus on getting healthy.

But that is only part of the story. Real Estate depends significantly on relationship management. Tom is my younger brother. And even though my practice is 10 years older and half the country away, he's my go-to guy when I need tax advice. When I have questions about tax issues or about anything related to elder law, I consult with Tom.
Tom is exceptionally knowledgeable about both business and estate tax issues as well as those unique questions that arise related to Medicaid and other elder law matters. And unlike some attorneys I have dealt with, Tom is always straight forward with me in those very rare occasions when he doesn't know the answer. But he'll find out.

I went to trial for a breathalyzer refusal and won. This is a very tough thing to beat and Morgan got me through this case. The case was strung out over a year but Morgan remained committed and determined to see this through even though the chances of winning a refusal once it has gone to trial are slim. I am very greatful for the outcome of this case.

I am a new landlord and had a very nasty tenant dispute issue at the end of February this year, I have consulted with Janelle and her experience and quick instructions have impressed me to continue working with her until the dispute was successfully resolved. Janelle has demonstrated her solid experience, responsive attitude and good negotiating skills in communicating and negotiating with the tenant, who end up paid rent to the date when new tenant moved in. We had a rather large construction defect (two retaining walls) with our newly built home that affected the whole 48 unit development. The builder was a national publicly traded company (ticker symbol: LNNR) Fortune 500 Company who refused to cooperate (or even communicate) with the Condominium Owners Association to resolve the issue.
We enlisted the help of Flanagan-Strauss and were able to settle out of court (after much negotiation) for approximately the amount needed for the remediation. I don’t think it would’ve ever happened if we hadn’t retained this firm.

To whom it may concern:
In 2010 after taking control of the homeowners’ association from the developer,
we had a building inspection that revealed significant defects in workmanship and
and materials. From discussions with members of other homeowners’ associations, reading guidance articles in homeowners’ association publications, and talking with the inspecting engineer, we know we were going to have to seek out expert legal advice on how to best proceed to insure all defects got corrected. In looking for legal experts dealing with condominium defect claims we talked with those most highly recommend and interviewed them. In a meeting with our board of directors Leonard Flanagan presented the board with the path this process would most likely take, the options that would be presented to us during this period, and a very realistic assessment of the likely results. He was retained shortly after this meeting based on our perception of the quality approach he had laid out.
During his investigative work for us he was able to determine there were six insurance companies that might be involved in liability rather than just the one that the developer had told us to contact. His investigative team also found significant structural defects that were not know to us and not uncovered in the previous inspections.
For the past five years, Leonard has successfully guided us through settlement discussions with some insurance companies, mediation negotiations with others and a jury trial with a third.
Throughout this activity, he has always kept the board fully informed of our options and expectations, while we were making decisions on how to best proceed. His preparations both for negotiations and trial have been exemplary and we the homeowners’ have benefited from his thoroughness and dedication to detail.
We, as a board, would highly recommend Leonard Flanagan to anyone seeking expert legal counsel on condominium defect issues, or any of his other specialties.

We recently encountered a surprising boundary dispute with the neighbor in the middle of closing a sale of our property. I hired Mary in 2012, post dissolution, after my ex mounted another legal attack against our family. Mary is direct, honest, well-respected, most knowledgeable, articulate, skillful, and most capable. Despite Mary’s years of experience and exceptional legal ability, Mary’s fees are at least 100 dollars/hour less than her peers (even at 100 dollars/hour less, Mary’s hourly fee is still approximately the amount an average citizen makes in an entire day).
Mary helped defend against my ex’s frivolous motions, uphold our family’s protection orders (while the criminal no contact orders remained in place), and helped our family finalize a parenting plan with domestic violence restrictions without going to trial. We finalized the night before trial and agreed to arbitrate subsequently two sections of the parenting plan. I attribute this in large part to Mary’s tenacity, knowledge of the law, and integrity, which is in direct contrast to the opposing counsel’s character and modus operandi.
Due to the years of abuse endured by our family (including but not limited to financial abuse), I was eventually forced to file bankruptcy. I remain in contact with Mary post-bankruptcy (and remain committed to compensating Mary, in full with interest). In 2015, when I was forced to hire another attorney to defend against another legal attack against our family, Mary happened to be in court with another client the day of our initial hearing. Mary was overheard responding to my ex’s attorney in the hallway (in an attempt by opposing counsel to prove that I was lying in my documents submitted in response to their deceitful, unreasonable motion) if it was true that I was compensating Mary for her legal representation post-bankruptcy. Mary’s immediate and honorable response was “yes; she is”.
At this point, due to lack of financial means, I no longer have the ability to retain an attorney. I continue, unrepresented (with legal consulting when available), to defend against the domestic abuse our family is forced to continue to endure. I am forever grateful to Mary, and most highly recommend Mary to anyone who needs a most competent and knowledgeable legal advocate. I know that "standing up to the bully" is critical (and is the intent of our founding Fathers in our Constitution) to defending against and stopping abusive use of conflict once and for all for ALL, not just the privileged. Our current system provides this right only for the privileged. This needs to change.
