He is all you could ask for in a lawyer! I was thrown into a chaotic whirlpool of accusations at work; James clearly told me the big picture path I should take with my employer and when he should jump in to be helpful even though he could've tagged along all the way just to make money. His writing is amazing, quick, and effective!! He is the best a lawyer can be.

The title pretty much says it all. How often do you meet a lawyer who tells it straight and doesn't overcharge you for it? Very fair, very thorough, and I'd use his services again in a heartbeat.

The experience I had with Paul Bryan, and his paralegals, was exceptional. Everyone I spoke with listened and worked with me to make sure they understood my needs. Specifically, Cathy was responsive and reviewed my large file and considered my whole situation. She was able to give me honest feedback and made recommendations that were in my best interest, which may very resolve my situation without actually representing me. Even though the firm was unable to represent me, she worked on my behalf to ensure that my case was handled with care and that I was counseled for the best possible outcome in the long run. Thank you for your kind service.

They did a great job for me when it was hard to find anyone in my area that would take on the issue I had with a major corporation. Was able to settle my case with little issues.

Isaac has some knowledge in real estate, but I found him to be unprofessional on more than one occasion. He delayed correspondence by over a month from the opposing attorney and expressed no apology other than saying he had more important things. When a lawsuit loomed immediately after, Isaac indicated he is not a litigating attorney and expressed concerns about our "differences". He often proceeded unilaterally not explaining himself, or getting full consent, and when questions were asked, he viewed those as challenges to his authority. He took no ownership or responsibility that his delays could have exacerbated the situation. After being retained for several months, I found that he had less knowledge about the intricacies of the case, some that were relayed to him months earlier. This review does not apply to the other staff, who were prompt and professional.

I don't often write reviews, but will here if for nothing other than the sake of helping others to cut through the drivel. Isaac Anderson has handled a multitude of legal issues for me. Whether they be real estate, personal, or business concerns Isaac is at the top of his game. He is skilled, honest, professional, quick on his feet, and his conservative values and ethical impetus is unmatched in my humble opinion. Not only would I recommend Isaac for anyone seeking honest and efficient legal counsel, I have done so many times. This, from my perspective, is the highest praise one can give, and I would stake my good word and reputation on Isaac any day of the week. Most recently Isaac handled the creation of my estate plan. After going through the process I was astounded at his expertise and attention to details I wouldn t have thought important. Through his patient education I understand why such details are so important and am now confident that my wife and children will be financially secure should something happen to me. Trust me folks – you won’t be disappointed in retaining Isaac to handle your legal needs.

Isaac Anderson is one of the most competent attorneys I have ever met. He is extremely conscientious, knows all aspects of the law and is very efficient in his work. He is always conscientious about spending his clients dollars. Just as important Isaac has a very calming influence on his clients. He never gets rattled about issues that he is dealing with. He is always able to explain clearly to his clients what their choices are and the possible ramifications of the decisions and choices that his clients will have to make in their legal issues. As one of Isaac’s clients I can highly recommend him. He is the type of person that you can trust completely and in this day and age these people are hard to find.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:

    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
