Do not hire these individuals if you care about receiving the proper medical treatment and receiving a speedy settlement. Hi, I'm a US Marine, 2003 Iraq war veteran and a Texas Paralegal with a degree in legal studies (law). My age is forty-six, so I've been around long enough to know what's normal business and what's shady business. Their website bio claims they have fifty years of experience, compassion and commitment to their clients. We didn’t experience any of this! Back in August of this year, four LONG months ago, my girlfriend, three-month-old daughter at the time and I were side swiped at a busy Lubbock intersection by an elderly out-of-towner driving a large pick-up truck. After initially speaking to the Malone Legal Group, their secretaries were quick getting us to sign their "Attorney Fee Contract" of thirty-five percent. This was the only time anybody showed any sense of urgency. After that is where the shady and unethical business practices begin. You ever seen the tv series "Breaking Bad" with scandalous attorney Saul Goodman always looking for a quick buck? That's the Malone Legal Group. Without any x-rays or MRI’s, Merritt Chiropractic diagnosed our injuries and cared for them by placing a warm stinky towel while receiving electrical stimulation around our necks for two minutes and then out the door! Good thing for me, the Department of Health Administration paid for my chiropractic care with a real chiropractor. My girlfriend, however, did not receive the chiropractic care she needed. After thirteen total visits, I put a stop to this! I emailed Valeri Malone stating that we were ready to stop treatment and to begin negotiating with State Farm. Within this email, I also mentioned their lack of aggressiveness. She called me immediately, placed me on speaker phone and told me I should do an MRI to get more money. I was thrown off by this because an MRI is usually recommended before a treatment plan by a medical professional. This was the ONLY time any attorney took the time to call us. It took one hundred and fourteen days from the day we hired them to the day we received payment. Just to be surprised with additional expenses we did not agree to like being charged gas money to deposit checks once they received from State Farm. I assure you, you will be better served elsewhere.

Mr. Guinn and his assistant Ms. Mireles were incredible in helping me with my case. Their office handles large scale felony cases on a regular basis, so when I was charged with a misdemeanor, I was worried they would not give my case proper attention.
That concern was quickly put to rest as both Mr. Guinn and Ms. Mireles were so engaged in helping me get a fair outcome, I felt my small case* meant just as much to them as it did to me. Their actions showed genuine concern for me and a real pride in their work.
* "small case" is relative when it comes to Mr. Guinn and Ms. Mireles' line of work. Because while my situation was minor in regard to how it compares to other cases, my case was my Super Bowl and they made sure I knew they understood how important it was to me.

Geoffrey and Justin and all of the folks at Coffer and Connelly took great care of me and my case. I was wrongfully accused of criminal trespassing, criminal mischief, and there was a threat of charging me with assaulting a police officer. The day that these alleged crimes occurred was the worst day of my life.
I was tased (twice), beaten, and zip tied by APD in my own front yard.
When I was alerted to the potential of a warrant being issued for my arrest, I consulted and then hired Geoffrey and the Coffer Connelly team.
Under Geoffrey and Justins guidance, we allowed my warrant to go through so that Geoffrey and Justin could work with the prosecution to prove my innocence. ( I was nervous about this strategy, but I had faith in their experience) The lead detective on the case was adamant that I was the one who committed the criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
Ultimately- Geoffrey and Justin handled everything. I didn’t have a single conversation with any of the APD staff, even when they continued to call me and attempted to incriminate me over the phone.
Geoffrey and Justin managed to prove that I was in fact, not- the criminal who committed those crimes, by way of my facial hair. (The other guy that the prosecuting team had a photo of, didn’t have the sweet facial hair that I have)
The charges were dropped and the firm is currently working to have the charges completely expunged from my record.
When sh*t happens and you need an understanding lawyer that treats the law “like art and less of a science”- hire this firm. Justin (the ex-APD chief (I think)) did an amazing job consolidating the facts to ease the process of having the charges dropped. Geoffrey and Justin were very understanding of my terrible experience and supported me along the way. We even had a few laughs over zoom! Justin even allowed me to personally call him a few times for guidance when APD wouldn’t leave me alone.
Having Justin on the team is a real ace in hand. His experience and connections with APD made him incredibly valuable throughout the process.
While I don’t intend to get wrapped up in any other criminal nonsense, if I did- I wouldn’t think twice about calling Geoffrey and Justin and the team at Coffer and Connelly.
I highly recommend this firm. 10/10. Do recommend. So what are you waiting for? Better get that retainer in before they have too many clients to take you on!

Publicly I have know shame but there is a child in question and I firmly believe that our Lord put me in the direction of Mrs. Hutton for a reason. She was straight forward about it but at the same time listened to my concern and was willing to go above and beyond. I feel she was honest and caring. She doesn't seem focused on the financial side of things but more so the care and building her clients up the right way. I am not in a position at the moment to swing this hammer but as soon as my ducks are in a row this amazing attorney is who I will be choosing. All I have to say is wow....just wow. Obviously, attorneys can be intimidating, but that's their job, right? We hire an attorney to do take care of our stressful situation...and that is indeed what Ms. Hutton did! She clearly went step by step on building up my child custody case these past several years and at first I was frustrated and had no idea why. Talked to few but definitely out the group I like the sense of humor they had positive attitude they had. They let me put a down payment and worked with me on my payments when I got behind a few. Well before hiring, I was nervous scared terrified I didn't know what to
do who to call where to go but Michael was very reassuring when she poke
to him the first call. I called other attorneys that same day but no one
felt right. I told my parents I feel like this person is the best to
represent me and I know it's more expensive but I feel like he has the
best interest for this case at heart. Everything was smooth sailing and
I was kept up to date. Most positive experience ever. When Mike called
me to tell me my case was dismissed I almost well I can't say what I

I hired Kyle to expunge a class B misdemeanor back in 2013 or 2014. He called me throughout the whole process to keep me updated. There was not moment where I had to call to check up or wonder what was going on. The process only took a few months. Once it was disclosed, he mailed me as well as e-mailed me a copy of my disclosure. I would recommend him. His punctuality and work ethic is amazing. I always reflect back on this moment because it changed my life. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get by with it on your record.

5 Stars truly isn't enough to rate Melissa as an attorney, and as a person in general. I had a three year long, in two different counties, hell fire of a court case that ended with becoming a jury trial for termination of rights. Melissa fought tooth and nail for my case from the first meeting till the very end. After some of our hearings I would have people call me asking who my attorney was because they heard she was REMARKABLE in court. Remarkable is an understatement! I have used Melissa on 2 extremely complicated custody cases and would recommend her to anyone. She is organized and compassionate. Her staff is competent and both of their communication is excellent (which is something I've had huge issues with, with previous attorneys). She is as tough as it gets in the courtroom and does not take ANY BS but has a heart of gold when it comes to her clients. You get what you pay for and Melissa Simpson is worth every penny!

In my case, Texas Tech University's Office of Student Conduct and Resolution Center were investigating allegations of Assault, Threat, and Intimidation, while Investigators for Lubbock county investigated a few criminal allegations. As someone who was looking forward to graduating, moving, and starting a professional career, I began to wonder how I would deal with these very serious allegations. I already knew that TTU has a track-record of being unfair and uncooperative when someone is accused of any wrongdoing on campus, so I became concerned that these false accusations would be upheld by TTU and that they would REVOKE all of my degrees. It did not take much thought to realize that I needed to hire Meghan, so I did. As soon as she started my case, I felt a sense of relief and comfort because I knew that I would not go through the process alone. After a few months of working with Meghan and her keeping in touch with the DA's office and the investigator, the DA's office determined that there was "No Merit" to the accusations made by the individual, so they left me alone; however, TTU refused to give it up. In fact, TTU continued pursuing this for almost an entire year. While TTU does not allow an accused individual to have representation, because, as they will continuously repeat, "this is not a legal process"; Meghan was still incremental. She communicated with TTU often, sat in all of the meetings and pre-hearings with me, and always had a game plan. Even when TTU would give us less than 24 hours to review 100 pages, Meghan was ready and prepared to answer all questions and to make corrections where needed. She worked as if it was her degrees and livelihood on the line, which I appreciated. Oddly enough, it appeared to me that she was actually liked by the people who handled my case at TTU, which only helped my case. Meghan also requested all evidence the DA's office collected to find no merit in the accusations, and she was able to retrieve it ALL. She then sent all of the evidence to TTU so that we could use it during the hearing. She also made sure that all of the information we ever sent was included in my file so that I could use it during my hearing because TTU will exclude favorable evidence. In fact, Meghan caught several mistakes made in the evidence TTU collected, evidence that we asked to be included in my file was not and should have been, and she made them change the wording or paraphrasing of key information to make it fair for me. TTU's process is not fair and they deprive people of their bare constitutional rights. I will say one thing about this experience: It takes a great lawyer to win a case, but it takes a master of the law to win a case in a world where there are no rules, rights, or fairness. Meghan is definitely a master when it comes to the law. A year later and TTU found me not responsible for the laundry list of allegations they charged me with. Not many attorneys handle these types of cases because they do not feel they can do anything because of how unfair TTU is and because they are unfamiliar with their made up rules, but Meghan certainly is not intimidated. I definitely recommend Meghan as an attorney, especially if you have to deal with TTU.

I hired Meghan in 2015 to fight an inflated DWI charge on my behalf. Not only did she resolve the case with the assistant D.A. before we ever saw the inside of a court room, but she succeeded in getting the charges dropped to a much more accurate and fair charge. Simply put, justice was achieved.
We (the People) deserve more lawyers like her. She is as tough as she is knowledgeable about the justice system. I absolutely endorse her and say truthfully that hiring her was a great investment in my future. I shudder to think where I would be without her.

I do not trust anything to do with the united states justice system, and when i initially met Kristen, i was rude in the way i expressed my frustration, not anger as i prejudiced her in my own personal resentments. However, over what i knew to be lunch time, she listened to me rant and yell , not specifically at her, or to her and patiently cut in to tell me her opinions and options while remaining respectful to her proffesion, and expressed her willingness to remain unwaivering in what little was allowed by law in the initial proceedings of the allegations , which frustratingly enough were not even clear. I kept my promise to her to proceed as she thought best, and remain within orders of the court if we were to be successfull, and the charges were dismissed. She was attentive to detail despite a very hot room during a very busy day, in a court and jail very backed up " due to Co- vid " and retained my ideas as well as hers, implemented them as she promised and articulated to me expertly clear , while remaining sweet and considerate in a situation where i could have been easily been run of the mill, overbearing zealous addict or A$5 ho13 . ( Professional ) and understanding unjudgmental in her own right. The psychology of her demeaner and straight line execution along with very articulate explanation, was as good as it gets and the execution was just as she promised. I would reccomend her for anyone whom finds to themselves in a situation over bearing or so frustrating that they aren't truely concerned about thier case but find themselves venting to a stranger in anger because there isn' t anyone else. If she didn' t have piercings then she probably does now :)
