If you want wood-paneled office walls, posh client accommodations, and sky-high fees to help pay for those and other unnecessary things, Mark Sutton and his office are not for you. On the other hand, if, as I did, you want an able, experienced attorney who knows the people who need to be known in the court system and who seeks not just good but the best results, then Mark Sutton is your guy. In two separate cases, Mark well exceeded my hopes in one and met them in another. I could not have asked for more in terms of his getting things done and keeping the client's interest foremost.

I hired Mark to defend my son who got into trouble with a group of juveniles. I wanted him to take responsibility for his actions, pay his fair share and learn from the experience, but the police were out to ruin his future with felony convictions and jail time.
Working with an attorney is not something that most people do every day, so it’s hard to know what parts of a case to expect an attorney to handle, and which you should expect to handle yourself. To be honest, I’m still not really sure exactly where that boundary is, but I learned that you and your lawyer are a team, and Mark was an excellent teammate.
Why do we need lawyers? To understand the legal jargon and speak for you in court; to negotiate offers; and to guide you through the basics of the legal process. But more than that, you need someone that understands the intricacies of negotiation and has good instincts on what will and won't work in court. Mark is that lawyer.
I am a very proactive person, and waiting for the wheels of justice to turn was very frustrating for me. Mark worked very hard on several occasions, to keep me from making rash decisions in my frustration and explained how important patience was in any case.
With Mark’s guidance, and when the time was appropriate, I was able to communicate with the plaintiffs, at their discretion, and discuss what they thought was a reasonable punishment for the offense. This helped in softening the prosecutor's stance on the case.
We also gathered as many witness statements as possible for Mark's review and use in the case. Mark pretty much did the rest.
He has a great understanding of how cases make their way through the courts, when to negotiate, how to press for action and how to get all parties on your side – as much as they can be.
He has a good working relationship with the prosecutor, which helped convince the police to look at the statements we had collected and take a full and honest statement from my son.
After a great deal of effort on both our parts, we got the reasonable settlement we were looking for with a misdemeanor charge and probation in place of felonies and jail time.
The lesson for my son is paying off. He broke ties with the juvenile troublemakers, is working hard and is not far from paying off his settlement.

After my initial denial for social security disability, I did what most do, l googled lawyers specializing in social securit disability claims. I randomly picked Ronald Harman and, boy, did I get lucky. But, more so than lucky, choosing Mr. Harman was the best possible choice as my legal representation that I could have done.
I contacted the law office and within several hours, Mr. Harman himself returned my call. We just briefly discussed my need for a lawyer and he had his legal assistant, Windy schedule an appointment.
My initial meeting with Mr. Harman was extremely thorough. He, point blank, informed me that he would not take on my case if he thought he couldn't win it.
His legal knowledge of the Social Security Administration, in particular, the legal aspects of the disability insurance claims portion, was overwhelmingly spellbinding. From knowing the simplest issues of forms to the more critical issues of what is necessary from physicians, what type of Physicians in conjunction with my illnesses, etc. It was imperative to him that the flow of communication between myself and his office be fluent. I never hesitated to contact the office with any questions and was never not contacted in a timely fashion.
The more that we met, the more comfortable I felt with Mr. Harman.
Three weeks prior to my hearing he scheduled what he thought would be a critical examination with a physician, other than my own. And it ended up being significantly critical to my claims outcome.
That same week, we had our final meeting before my hearing. Afterwards, I felt extremely comfortable and ready for my hearing.
The morning of the hearing, he ask if there were going to be any surprises for him, did I have any last minute questions, did I feel comfortable, was I okay?
He had me so extensively prepared for the hearing, and I had no doubt that he was.
Entered the conference room, proceeded with all of the legal necessities, and then the judge offered that he was going to make an off the record fully favorable decision but for one question. Once he asked me the question, talked to the Vocational Expert and Mr Harman for a few minutes and then announced a bench decision of fully favorable. Mr. Harman had succeeded at what he had set out to do, win my claim.
There is so much information that I could address here, but I just wanted the public to know, first hand, from a client, that you cannot go wrong if you choose Mr. Harman as your legal representative for your Social Security disability insurance claim.

From the beginning of the process to the end, Ms. Scales was professional, extremely knowledgeable and well prepared. I never once felt uneasy or unsure going into a hearing. She would always let me know beforehand what to expect at that time. Her staff was always professional and when I would call the office to ask a question regarding my case, they were extremely helpful and would call me back promptly with the answer. I found her fees to be fair and reasonable especially after talking with others who had also been through the divorce process with other attorneys.

Thru her wealth of knowledge on the subject of criminal defense law combined with her experience as a prosecutor, she brought a tenacious defense that was tempered with a caring manner to our case. She utilized many outstanding, unique, and very creative strategies both inside and out of the court room to bring our case to a acceptable resolution.
My family interviewed multiple possible lawyers before choosing Kim. I distinctly remember being impressed by her thoroughness and aggressive manner towards the facts of the case, but assumed that she would eventually tire and not have much time for us. Kim did the opposite - she kept us informed, always had time for us, and showed an amazing ability to make everyone feel important while level setting expectations. Even in the face of an unethical law enforcement and prosecution she held firm to the beliefs and standards of the criminal justice systems. The receptionist I spoke to after my initial intake email was extremely prompt and polite. Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing about the lawyer I spoke to. I believe it was Manchin, but either way, from the get-go, it was clear that either this guy hadn't even taken a peek at the details I provided them before he called me, or he thought the injury and subsequent issues I was calling about were so laughable that he just had to call me and reiterate a dozen times why he was confused that I was getting in touch with them.
Next time you have someone come to you for help, instead of demeaning them, try explaining to them what qualifies for your assistance and what doesn't. People call lawyers because they feel like they've been put in an unfair financial and psychological position due to circumstances out of their control. For some reason, though, even after explaining my worries and my situation to the lawyer, he was asking ME what I believe I'm entitled to and did it in the most disrespectful manner. I don't know what I feel like I'm entitled to, and that's why I called you.
Confused why I would be concerned about 5 misdiagnoses. Confused why I would be concerned about the time I've missed from work because of it. Confused why I would be concerned that I've been working in pain for months because of it. Confused why I felt like I was going crazy for months because doctors told me nothing was wrong with me. Confused why I thought I'd be entitled to FMLA with my previous employer where the issue started and confused why I would change jobs...
I would've sworn I was speaking French to this guy. Absolutely terrible client service. Maybe he's just so used to fake neck injury lawsuits that this one was beyond his scope of expertise.
