Absolutely great team of lawyers and paralegals. Helped me get my DUI dismissed because of their due diligence from day one. After reaching out to more than 4 attorneys to help with a complicated , 100 year old land deed which needed a cleared title, I was wholly discouraged. Each professional from whom I sought help barely listened to the facts of my story as they quickly surmised that the work required to clear this title would outweigh what they could charge to do it.
But then I found Mike! Mike returned my phone call with only a few moments before the close of the business day, on the eve of his birthday. Due to my previous experiences and the late hour, I expected to hear yet another rushed excuse for not taking up my case. But to my delight, Mike listened to the details of my heirloom property.
He asked questions, paused often in thought. He was actually contemplating solutions! In this initial conversation, he went straight to work at his computer all the whole asking deeper questions and contemplating possible roadblocks. He pulled up some details about the plot. He checked the assessors database and looked for local title companies who might provide us with other details needed before any real legal work could begin. And all of this effort within a few moments of chatting with me!
What a kind and sympathetic gentleman. Here was a man who was truly passionate about his profession. Brian, IMO is an outstanding lawyer. Picking a lawyer your first time is like playing roulette. I happened to win when I found him. I used him for a possession charge, while the case didn't get dropped our dismissed because it was virtually impossible he to have me in a program to have them dismissed within two weeks. He personally delivered my paperwork and did what it normally takes 6 months to do. I'm so pleased that I'm now using him for the expungement process.

Its only when you really need an Attorney that you consider who is out there. I called many most were just talk. Attorney Waite and Miss Kim Grimes walked me through the process and I couldn’t be happier. This attorney is very unprofessional in my opinion. He made a probate/estate case drag on for 4 years. It cause alot of grief in my family. He slithered in while we were using Greene and Phillips to work a wrongful death case. They referred him, and he originally charged $10,000 to work the estate side of the case. He is very unprofessional as he admitted that he made mistakes in the case, and that's why it took so long, also his paralegal Angel was very rude and short with me. Ian is an excellent attorney! He represented my daughter and I through mitigation after she was hit hard in a rear end collision. I had a situation with Southern Eye Group in Bay Minette, Alabama where they gave me the wrong prescription and I spent close to $400 getting new lenses, getting a new exam (to determine my real prescription) and the trouble of getting more glasses yet again. I called and called and they flat-out told me they were not reimbursing me and stopped taking my calls. Clearly, a lawyer is too expensive to use for just being owed $400, but Mr. Mitchell worked w/ me anyway.
Before I get into his goodness, I’d like to say that I am melo-dramatic over my principles. I was fully committed to spending money I didn’t have for a lawyer over this nonsense after the way this business treated me. Many lawyers were not available when the paralegals heard my story (due to the lower-tiered financial outcome for the lawyer in question is my guess.) Many are so good (I guess) that they were always in meetings. Mr. Mitchell was available the first time I called and talked directly to me. I promised him no money up front or anything. He genuinely wanted to hear my story and just started advising me right then and there.
He walked me through the entire small claims court process, told me what to do when they defaulted and told me to keep quiet for the next 42 days after I filed the default while the courts work on it so their team of lawyers can’t do anything about it once that grace period passed. Not only has he continued to show me the best routes to take in my specific situation, but he even had me continue to call him to let him know how things were going. I’ve been chomping at the bit to get these reviews out about this man. (I specifically asked him for this website so I could leave the review where HE wanted it.) I wanted to wait until everything was finalized so I could give a full account of all the kindness and advice this sweet man has shown me. I even brought him and his team donuts! He’s so freakin’ nice! I go OUT MY WAY to let folks know about him because his kindness is never-ending. He reminds me of the kindness Alabama USED to show to strangers. Salt-of-the-earth at its best.

I was in a very bad accident on the job, no fault of my own. I suffered neck injuries, hip, knee and a severe concussion. I was referred by another happy client that Ms. Cooper had helped. It was easy to get an appointment and she explained the whole bankruptcy process well. When we went to court to file (back in 2010) she was the most organized lawyer there. The other ones were fumbling with all kinds of folders and she had everything in order for her clients on her ipad. Well into our bankruptcy, the car that I had involved in the bankruptcy was totaled in a storm and she immediately filed the motion where we could substitute another title so I would not be without a vehicle. At the end, when the trustee was still subtracting payments from our checking account she went to court and got an immediate refund of all over payments. Lucy Tufts represented me in an extremely complex case involving mortgage fraud on the part of my previous attorney, who converted the payoff money from the new lender to his own personal account and failed to pay the previous lender the funds due. The net result left me holding two mortgages on the same property, with threats of foreclosure and numerous acts of intimidation from the bank holding both mortgages.
Ms. Tufts successfully negotiated a stay of action on the part of the bank while seeking recourse through the courts in a vain attempt to collect the monies due.Further research on the part of Ms. Tufts revealed that the bank offering me a new loan had failed in several respects to follow standard banking procedures and its own policies in the signing of certain documents at closing and thus had inadvertently contributed to the ensuing fraud and theft of funds that took place.
Ms. Tufts demonstrated considerable skill and legal knowledge in dealing with facts as they occurred. As a legal strategist she is brilliant. As an adversary to opposing attorneys, particularly in depositions, she was courageous and did not retreat from heated dialogue from opposing counsel. At the end of the day, the original lender paid off the previous mortgage and offered me another mortgage for the same term and interest rate as before. In addition, Ms. Tufts negotiated a significant amount from the bank for damages, and obtained a $2,000,000 non-dischargeable in bankruptcy judgement against the attorney who defrauded me.
Ms. Tufts was at all times patient in explaining complex legal issues and strategies, was consistently available to me and prompt in returning all telephone calls, and often worked on my case over weekends and holidays. i can only describe Ms. Tufts services in superlatives and recommend her legal services without heitation.
