Over a period of 4 years we worked through a case with Mr. Dorfman that in the end gave us a very just and favorable outcome. Having no knowledge of the legal system at this level he walked us through each step with patience and efficency. The case was multi-leveled and he took each portion of the suit and put it all together in a way that gave us a settlement that we were very happy with in the end. Lost a deck due to a huge snowstorm and the snow sliding off of our roof and causing the deck to fall to the ground. Insurance company said the weight of the snow causing the deck to collapse was not covered. I said the collapse was due to impact force - like a tree falling on the deck - but they denied the claim. Then the insurance company said because the deck was wood it was not covered, then the deck was not even a structure so it was not covered. And on and on.
I was referred to Neil Dorfman from a friend who knew someone else that worked with Neil on another claim.
M. Dorfman took over dealing with the insurance company and the communications went on for a year with the insurance company eventually suing ME for a Summary Judgement. Mr. Dorfman counter-sued the insurance company and made it clear they couldn't really sue me as their own client and after a year of this going back and forth the insurance company finally settled for a NEW deck (costing $100,000) and paid all attorneys fees in the process.
During the process, Mr. Dorfman brought in engineering specialists to analyze the deck and the situation, brought in a real estate consultant to determine damages for loss of use of the deck, and brought in contractors to determine costs of fixing and replacing the deck. I believe Mr. Dorfman was very thorough, knowledgeable, and competent. I would use him again.

We contacted Debbi to assist with a complicated lease negotiation. The land lord originally wanted us to sign a lease that held us liable for things that the land lord legally were liable for, such as ADA compliance of the space. Debbi negotiated on our behalf for fair liability clauses and even got 2 months rent free at the beginning of the lease. About 3 years ago, I suffered a serious injury to my knee after falling on a city sidewalk. It was determined that a preventable tripping hazard existed and I filed suit. The injury required surgery and will require on-going professional medical attention.

Worst experience, DO NOT RECOMMEND. Nancy would waste hours of my time in strategic planning meeting only to show up to the hearings with nothing, completely unprepared. She was typically unable to meet any deadlines and usually put any important filing off until 4:59pm on Friday as the court was closing. She first disappeared for over 1 month, later blaming a 3 day power outage as the reason, only to then disappear for 7 months ignoring all attempts to make contact. When she finally did she gave me an ultimatum to pay off may balance in full or she threatened to drop me, even though our [verbal] agreement was she would carry any retainer-overages until the case was finished. Wildly unprofessional, erratic and quite frankly terrible at her job.

Over two years of bitter divorce battle, represented by a prominent local attorney whose last name rhymes with "hell," and nothing to show for it. Then I switched to Nancy.
Within a few short weeks, we had settlement offers to present to opposing counsel, and a settlement conference on the calendar.
I can't say enough good about this attorney. She's intelligent, diligent, careful, full of integrity, knows the law very well, and will keep the divorce drama to a minimum. However, if you need someone to fight hard for you, she'll do a great job.
Highly recommend you don't hire the attorney whose name rhymes will Hell, and instead go with someone who isn't interested in excessive litigation in order to fill her own coffers.

He is content with losing all his cases. Doesn’t even try to defend anyone. If you have him helping you, you have a better chance at representing yourself. On top of that he seems to be too friendly to the prosecuting team, wouldn’t doubt if he just plays along for some sort of deal for him.

David Silber took $3,000 from an 81 year old man named Jim Butler who was swindled off the title to his property and then evicted into the street penniless while Silber refused to return phone calls or intervene. He has 9 counts pending in the State BAR Trial Court.

He is incapable of:
honesty
communication

evicted from both home and office
This is an awful attorney. He has completely screwed up my bankruptcy and it was an extremely simple bankruptcy. He has told nothing but lies.Has never once contacted me unless I send him an email threatening to complain to the Bar. Then, he just lies and I don't hear from him again until I threaten him again. Bar complaint being filed today. Do NOT hire this guy. You will be very sorry and then it will be too late to fix anything such as with my bankruptcy. There's nothing I can do to fix his mistakes. He allowed the deadline to file a paper to keep my house to pass. He does not care about what he does to his clients or what they lose because of his incompetency. He has allowed me to get to the point where I have absolutely nothing left to lose.
