Mr. Peltz came out to my home as I am disabled and was not up to traveling to him, having just fallen. Who does that these days? I rated him a 10 because that is the highest the scale goes. He is more of a 15 as a lawyer! Wish I had more thumbs!!!

As a new business owner, I was looking for an attorney to assist me with setting up operating procedures, rules and regulations for my employees. Tim did a great job in that regard, providing me with an employee handbook tailored to my needs and my particular business. As with most businesses, I have had some issues with some employees and Tim has always been there to provide me with the support I need to protect my business and my investment. He is very responsive to my calls and keeps me updated with changes in the law that may have an impact on my operations. His fees are more than reasonable compared to the larger firms hourly fees and I can’t imagine them providing me the personalized service and quality work that I get from Tim.

I hired Michael when he first was starting out in Wilmington working under David Haley and my Aunt Vivian. Michael was energetic, honest, upfront, and eager to assist me in my quest to achieve custody of my 4 sons. I have recommended Michael throughout the years to many of people needing help. We sold our home in July & the buyer of our old home used Vance Funk. They wired the money over to Ward & Taylor to use towards our new home purchase. The remaining funds were given to us via a check. Over 90 days later in late October, we receive a random call from Vance Funk demanding their money back. We requested the paper work to see where the error occurred and a few days to go over things. They sent $10k extra to Ward & Taylor. We discussed things with our lawyers and real estate agent. Our agent tried helping us out and seeing if they could give us a break on the refund of $10k. They threatened to go to the police over this if we didnt respond and this was less than 72 hours later. We did respond prior to this. We were trying to work something out since the average person does not have $10k lying around. This being met with a threat shows they are unprofessional, have no respect for other's situations, and just bad business ethics. Do not trust them with your money, they can not handle their own. Don't want anyone else to end up in this situation.

Cold and calculating are some words often associated with lawyers, so I was very surprised when I was received with kindness and compassion. This office, particularly Mary Anne, represented me and my interests in a manner that was effective and efficient, all while keeping me informed. They were flexible enough to work with me, and proactively addressed anything that I missed. They treated me as an individual and not just another case and I highly respect them for that.
I am certain for any other times that I may need legal representation I will be referring to this law office first.

I understand that legal cases can take time, and you never fully know what’s happening on the other end, but communication is really important to me. I also recognize that employees are human, and it’s impossible to control everyone’s actions perfectly. While there have been some bumps in communication with a few employees at the firm, I truly appreciate how the manager handled the situation. She took full accountability, apologized for the lapses, and made sure to explain everything to me in detail. It’s refreshing to see someone in a leadership role take ownership and show genuine concern for the client experience. Good communication will always drive the client experience. I wanted to be able to leave a good review after everything was settled. Glad I was able to. Thank you.

Just recently used Castro law firm for a child custody/support case. Coming into this was extremely nerve wracking and terrifying as a father but I felt comfort knowing I had Castro law firm on my side.

HEATHER LONG formerly from the KCRP&O firm….
THROUGHOUT THIS (2019-2022) BATTLE, Heather Long, my legal representative called me a liar the entire time, even with medical evidence of substantial damage. Heather and her team wore me out just as much as the defense. Also, just before settling, I WAS ENLIGHTENED BY HEATHER, THAT WORKERS COMPENSATION ATTORNEYS GET PAID FROM DOL, SO DO NOT EXPECT TO FILE A CLAIM AGAINST DOL OR OSHA THROUGH A WORK COMP CLAIM. I believe Heather Long protects the DOL and the De. corporations. I also believe Heather and the defense attorney, Andrew Carmine, were negotiating my case to benefit themselves and DOL, not to benefit the now permanently disabled client (me), that suffered lifelong damages from an incident at Alutech United,Inc.(a Delaware corporation).
Upon settlement of a 3yrs battle, I was encouraged by Heather and her team to sign papers that stated that the defense/corporation accepts no responsibility of the injuries that were proven by highly qualified medical expert opinion to be suffered from the (2018)incident. They also put some of my total settlement in a MSA (Medicare set-aside account) that was supposed to be for future treatment, and the account holders will not consent to the recommended treatment. That was $26,000. that was taken from my settlement that I’ll probably never see or be permitted to use. Now SSA(your tax $) is paying me a monthly salary that I used to make in 5days. My case should’ve went to the Supreme Court but Heather Long said that Workers Compensation does not go further than the DOL’s Industrial Accident Board, which I learned recently is a flat out lie!!! I had legal grounds to sue OSHA(derelict of duty), the DOL(derelict of duty), and the Alutech United,Inc. corporation(Permanent physical damages/Perjury, etc.) but with Heather Long, I could only pursue my lawsuit against Genex Westfield Insurance, Alutech United Inc.’s policyholder.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND A DIFFERENT LAWYER AND PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST OF THE DELAWARE LAW FIRMS PROTECT EACH OTHER SO IF YOUR CASE IS IN DELAWARE, FIND A ‘PITBULL’ ATTORNEY IN ANOTHER STATE THAT IS DEL. WORK. COMP. CERTIFIED!! I know this because when I would call another attorney for a second opinion on my concerns, that attorney would call Heather and let her know I was asking questions.

Heather is simply an amazing lawyer!! My accident left me with a brain injury. I knew I needed help. I struggled talking, my eyes were super sensitive to light and noises were a struggle to deal with. On the first day, her words of confidence that she would take care of all the medical bills and that I just needed to focus on healing were words of an angel. She was excellent with literally everything. A good listener, a good communicator, always kept me in the loop. Then with all the legal stuff, well, just amazing how well she took care of me. It was the worst year of my life due to the accident, but Heather was strong in my corner at a time I needed it the most!! I HIGHLY recommend her!!

Years ago my husband and I went to Gary Smith regarding filing for my husband's Soc.Sec. Disability due to Parkinson's. Not only did Mr. Smith handle the case with expedience, but refunded almost the entire retainer paid because he said it did not require the time and effort he thought it would. When do hear of an attorney refunding you payment??? Since that time, we trusted Gary to do our Wills, POA papers and other matters. When we went to Gary regarding an investigation of an accident and death of a family member, he was very supportive and helped us find closure in a difficult case. If you are looking for a flashy high powered attorney that throws around jargon to purposely intimidate you ,then Gary Smith is not the lawyer you want. On the other hand , if you are in need of an attorney that explains and represents you openly and honestly, then I highly recommend Gary L. Smith.

Don't waste your money with this guy. You might think I'm writing this referral because I didn't get the verdict I was looking for but Mr. Gary Smith did not even make it to the final hearing date. I gave Gary Smith $2,500 to help me with an case that involved the safety and well being of my Six year old daughter. Her Mother's new boyfriend was domestically violent and my daughter had witnessed it. The day before the first hearing Gary Smith demanded (pretty much held me ransom) and said if you don't deliver me $2,500 more before the hearing I cannot help you. My wife and I got together the last $2,500 dollars we had and delivered it to Gary Smith in time. During the hearing he was completely useless, my Judge even saying one time, "I was waiting for you to jump in Mr. Smith." after he failed to object to multiple lines of questioning that were in violation of court rules. So after his complete failure at our first hearing, showing that he did absolutely zero home work and was extremely ill prepared for the hearing that day, we began to question his ability to assist us. Meanwhile the case was extended and nothing was done on that day. I wrote an E-mail to Mr. Gary Smith explaining that I was upset with how he was handling the case. I was not offensive, rude, or ignorant. I kept the E-mail's tone very professional focusing on the fact that my daughters safety was at risk. Gary Smith replied by dropping me as a client, not submitting a bill to me, and keeping all of my money. I got an E-mail response from him stating he could not handle my case anymore and then filed to be removed as my counsel. So months later I was left unprepared, unrepresented, and missing $5,000 from our saving. Do Not waste your money with the laziest and most unprofessional lawyer I have ever met.

I contacted the mentioned Attorney’s office 12/05 at 11:22am based off of a referral through my employer. The intake specialist answered the prompted line. I was asked my name and reason for the call. As I began explaining the intake specialist seemed frustrated with me within seconds of the call and in an aggressive and unfriendly tone said can I tell her a little bit about what took place. As I started to explain she rudely said what are the specifics? How did they defraud you? In a more louder tone. I asked her to please speak to her someone else or her supervisor and she refused and told me to contact my employer and ask them for another referral. I then felt uncomfortable and frustrated especially when I am seeking help and guidance from an attorney’s office. I did not think the customer service was welcoming or nice and would not recommend this law firm or agency based on the first initial POC in place. I do not know or have never met the attorney.

This lawyer does not call you back. There is no receptionist, just a voicemail where you leave a message and NEVER get called back. I did a bankruptcy with her in 2010 and now I need to shortsale my home and she won"t even communicate back with my mortgage company. She could force me into foreclosure with this. I am going in person to check out her office and try to get some results.
