I do not write reviews very often, however I feel this review is necessary and important for it may give anyone needing assistance from a family law firm some insight on Stern, Perkoski, and Mendez. I found myself in a high-conflicted situation in regards to my parenting time with my 10 year old daughter. I was in desperate need for counsel, and was worried about finding someone who made me feel like everything was going to be ok. I had someone recommend speaking to Attorney Shay Formanek. I was immediately surprised at how fast Shay returned my initial phone call and was blown away from her willingness to have a prolonged detailed consultation with me on the phone for free. She listened to me intently, asked all the proper questions so she was fully able to understand my concerns, my thoughts, expectations, and details of the entire situation, everything! Shay explained to me what her approach will be to resolve the situation for me, and was very transparent of all the details that anyone can possibly want to know. Upon retaining Attorney Shay Formanek, I quickly realized I found the best attorney possible. I have had several other attorneys prior being that I have been separated from my daughters mom for 8 years now. I have always felt like just another client with past attorneys, they always felt un personable, were very difficult to get ahold of, and more importantly I never felt like they cared or truly had my back. Shay immediately started working to resolve my case. Her communication is impeccable. If I reach out to Shay with a question or concern, it feels almost immediate at times with how fast she gets back to me, and it’s almost always on the phone, because she wants to discuss my concerns or questions in detail. Every single thing that is done on her end or that she receives regarding the case she immediately contacts me to discuss it and makes sure I understand what it means and where we are at in the case. I have had prior representation from several other family attorneys as I stated earlier, and this review does not do justice on how amazing my experience has been with Attorney Shay Formanek. Her knowledge as an attorney understanding family law is beyond impressive, and the way she speaks and handles herself in court is amazing. I don’t have that initial feeling of panic and dismay that I had prior to initially contacting Shay, that I know most people have while looking for counsel. She has my back and fights for me, and she’s made that very evident. I am so grateful for Shay and I know anyone else would be as well.

David is my third and last divorce attorney. I wish I had have found him in the beginning instead of wasting time and money on the other two attorneys . David's professionalism and knowledge helped me so much; his expertise is "Marital Law", which means his focus is dedicated on resolving matters in a professional manner. David is a calm and patient attorney but is aggressive when there is a need to be. What I like about this firm is that David's staff is always supportive and on top of things. With the other law firms that I had before, they would purposely stretch court dates out and do unnecessary tasks just to charge up your bill. David's law firm does only what is needed and necessary. Do yourself a favor and take my advise, you get what you pay for. This law firm is well worth every penny.

After taking over my divorce which was being horribly mismanaged, David and his team brought successful conclusion to the custody dispute and financial settlement within 120 days. David was very proactive and had a well thought out plan for getting the case settled. He provided very practical advice to ensure that I wasn't being penny wise and pound foolish in reacting to my ex-wife continued entitled demands. I had a pre-marital agreement and David's understanding of the legal environment surrounding the agreement was very beneficial and much needed in my case. Counselor Sotiropoulos was upfront with the process of dealing with a DUI. He has taught classes on the protocols for evidence collection in these cases and has several years of experience. He was able to formulate a plea deal to get me off a DUI case. I would have given him 6 stars but my one complaint would be that he was sometimes contacting me the day of court hearing for information needed. To be fair, he was in the process of transitioning from one office to another. Aside from this, I am grateful for having him on my side. If you have been charged with DUI, I would highly recommend him as your attorney. He is who you would want on your side.

After getting arrested by your typical inner city cops( no rights read, no probable cause, lying under oath brutes) and thrown in Cook County (hell on earth), for a week to raise my bond money, even when i got out I was scared and didn't know what to do. I I knew that going with the public defender would me and me taking a felony charge (my first) after talking to Jeff I felt like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders!I felt better than when I left the jailhouse. I finally felt like there was a chance. And lo and behold my court case was dismissed on the preliminary hearing due to the work and knowledge of Jeff. I have had many lawyers in the past, even my dad is a lawyer, and I can say that Jeff is a spectacular attorney and I would recommend him, with his consent of course, to any of my close friends or family who need help, with any law problems really. He goes in to cases to win, and if he doesn't think he'll win, and he is all about WINNING!

If you want an attorney that actually knows how to communicate, be sure to hire Alex Ranjha. I have dealt with many attorneys over the years and none of them were as attentive, honest, easy to talk to, and responsive as Alex. Ranjha Law Group is located in Oak Brook (just across from the mall), but they actually cover Chicago and the suburbs including Cook and DuPage county and I'm pretty sure other counties as well.
I recently sold my house and Alex represented me for a flat fee. There were no hidden costs and no additional fees for every time I would call him to ask a question. It was very comforting to know that I could call and ask him a question and not be additionally charged for it.
From what I have seen from friends and family, real estate closings can be quite the headache. Not only did Alex make sure everything went smoothly, he actually foresaw a few potential problems that allowed us to act accordingly. Alex focused on MY best interest; NOT whatever gets the deal done the quickest. I would not hesitate to hire Alex again, and in fact referred him to a friend who is filing bankruptcy (Alex practices bankruptcy law as well).
Bottom line: you're in great hands with Alex!

Mike Botti is hands down the best attorney I know. He works hard for his clients and it shows. I've been represented by him during my divorce, for traffic issues, and for a criminal case that could have landed me in jail for many, many years. In 3 different counties for each. He's always on time, he's prepared for court, he communicates with you so you understand exactly what's going on, and most of all,he has gotten me the best results possible for ALL of my cases, every single time. This man has probably been to court for me 50 times and he has never once been late or not shown up. And his fees are not unaffordable by any means. He is worth every single penny and then some!
