Tom is a straight to the point, no BS lawyer at a reasonable cost. After I got out on bail, I was scrambling to find an attorney for my arraignment just 36 hours away. I called or emailed every lawyer on the first two pages of google, and only three picked up the phone. One was already scheduled forthat day and couldn't take my case. One wanted 10k and made a bunch of lofty promises about how I'm "definitely going to beat this thing" before I had even told him the details of my case, the guy sounded like a used car salesman.
When Tom picked up, I told him the details of my case, he agreed to take my case, and didn't make any promises he couldn't keep. He answered my emails quickly, usually within a few hours, and would always get back to me quickly if I left him a message. He kept me calm and we walked through the steps of defending my case, and in the end, the charge was dropped. I hope I never have to hire a criminal defense attorney again, but I know who I'll call if I do. Thank you Tom :)

From the first phone call, util the final hand shake. Tom took the time to listen and reassure you throughout the process. He spoke plainly and didn’t beat around the bush. When I was looking for someone to help me with my legal matters, I talked to several top-notch lawyers. Each had their strengths, but none seemed very impressive. Megan helped me with my child support modification and with a parenting time modification when my sons mother moved. My ex-husband and I divorced and he moved back to Massachusetts and I live in Georgia; so I had to hire a Mass. Attorney for an ongoing custody battle for my daughter. Well let’s just say Ms. Zawadzkas knew it would be easy money for her ($5,000.00) to be exact; She had me agree to everything and anything my ex-husband and his attorney wanted. Which I thought hey she knows what is best …. Right….. WRONG. She not only made my case worse than it was before when it started but didn’t even fight for my case, for me, for my daughter and my family. She is absolutely hands down the WORST attorney I have ever dealt with, worked with and that’s saying a-lot as I used to work as a paralegal for over 11 years. So unprofessional, unproductive and uncaring. If you need a child custody/family law attorney. Please BEWARE and look elsewhere.

My mistake was trusting Mike Zawadzkas to professionally handle my OUI case. The morning after my arrest I spoke with several attorneys and Mr. Zawadzkas assured me he was the best with a proven track record. After our first 2 appointments he thought it was best to go to trial and we had a "strong case". So, i paid him the additional money for a trial. Then there was radio silence, wouldn't answer my questions or concerns. When i did track him down he was arrogant and uninformed about my case. At the last minute he postponed my trial on 2 occasions. Then comes time for trial...after 5 months of waiting he suggests we plea out on the morning of the trial! There i was having to make a split second decision in the lobby of the courthouse. Mind you this could have been done on day 1 (for far less $$). His only rational was the courts have cracked down on OUI/DUI cases since the Boston Globe ran an article about leniency for DUI arrests on Cape Cod. This article was published 3 years before my arrest, he went on to tell me he would win my case 9 out of 10 times before the article was published. Of course he would not return the trial money (which was not my main concern).
Needless to say, he gave me false hope, was misleading and dishonest. He made an unfortunate situation much worse for me and my family.
