From the moment that I talked to Justus prior to being assigned to him as my court appointed counsel, I was going to hire him. We spoke a few months before being back in the State. As fortune turned and I couldn't hire him it was by luck that he was to be my assigned counsel. Justus worked and fought extremely hard to make sure that I didn't see prison walls and I was allowed the opportunity to stay being a mom, a recovery Coach, a peer support counselor, and a human. Thank you Justus for believing in me. Trust me if you knew how many times it took me to get it in my thick skull that DUI's are not fun than you would know exactly why I would have hired him. He had faith in my 6th chance. Thank you Justus!! Keep it up yo!! You the real MVP

Spencer provided excellent guidance during our union negotiations. We appreciated his reasonable approach and calm advise while assisting us with meetings and strategic planning. He was always accessible and responsive to any questions or guidance we required. Our local has utilized his expertise multiple times in the past and will continue to rely upon him in regards to any future labor issues that occur. Thank you, Spencer.

Spencer has been a pivotal piece of our collective bargaining team for multiple years. His knowledge regarding worker rights and collective bargaining agreements has been pivotal in our ability to negotiate better wages, hours, and working conditions for our work groups. Spencer has assisted us with employee representation, worker injuries, corrective action, and negotiations, providing balanced direction towards a reasonable resolution. I look forward to his continued guidance in the future.

I hired Spencer and vanguard law firm to assist me with an MVA that occurred in November 2021. From the beginning Spencer and his team were thorough, compassionate, very communicative, and explain things well, so that a layman, like my husband and I, could understand what was going on. We just settled the case, and the results far exceeded my expectations. If you are in need of a personal injury or an employment attorney, you would do well to hire Spencer and vanguard law firm!

First time filing and I must say, if you are in need of a competent bankruptcy attorney and team of professionals to help navigate you through the complexities of paperwork involved. Brittany and her assistant Jayne have you covered! They were just amazing to say the least. Being self employed with very unstable income would have been to confusing to fill out all the paperwork correctly and screw up on my part without their help, causing possible dismissal. It was worth every penny spent on making sure it didn't. I filed at the end of Sept and had my debt discharged at the end of December. Now it's time for me to move on, rebuilt my credit and not make the same mistakes that I had done before. Thanks again for everything!

We hired Brittany for our Chapter 13 bankruptcy a couple of years ago. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. She went above and beyond to help us and answer every question we had. Recently we requested to incur debt and purchase a house. Brittany gave us the same great advice, help and guidance that she gave with the initial filing and then some. We cannot recommend her enough. Thank you for everything Brittany!!!

The first time I spoke with Joni I was impressed by her expertise and also her ability to really listen. Initially, Joni made sure that I had realistic expectations by telling me the percentage of applicants who are approved, the worst-case scenario time-wise, etc. She is a very clear communicator, was really patient when I didn't understand something about my case, and was responsive when I called or emailed her with questions or concerns. I'm very aware that quality of professionals in any field varies, but I knew that with Jonie I was in good hands. She was always on top of the developments in my case and kept me up to date. Additionally, Jone related to me as a person, not just a case. That such a great lawyer was available on the Kitsap peninsula was a real surprise; I had assumed that I'd have to go to Seattle to have a chance at finding a lawyer with Joni's expertise. Thanks Joni!

I cannot express how grateful I am to Joni Derifield for the help she gave me with my fight for my disability benefits! She won my case after I had been denied. She is knowledgeable about dealing with Social Security, and made sure I knew exactly what was happening as well as options along the way. The thing I respect the most was the integrity that she brought to the process. She believed in me, and that is not something you are used to when dealing with SSA. I would highly recommend Joni’s services if you have to deal with Social Security.

I had originally contracted with his senior partner. Due to a medical emergency I was given the option to switch to Zach. It was like nothing had ever changed. His management of my case, his advice, and general presence are of an attorney many years his senior. I never had a single moment where I doubted his ability or professionalism. In addition, Zach was very personable as well. His ability to interpret a situation, and read an individual were very impressive. I highly recommend Zach Thal if you need help navigating an employment concern. I hired Zach and Spencer Thal to represent me in a lawsuit against my employer for gender discrimination, and I am so glad I did. They took my case to trial, and won! Zach prepared me to be deposed by opposing counsel, and also accompanied me to the deposition. Being deposed is a very stressful and invasive process, but Zach told me what to expect and helped me stay calm. I'm so glad he was there to support me during the hours of questioning. Zach also prepared me to be a witness for myself during the trial. He developed questions for me to answer to share my story and experience. It was very awkward to tell a jury full of strangers about the emotional pain I suffered as a result of the employment discrimination, but Zach got me through it. When I was being cross examined, he protected me by objecting to irrelevant questions, which I really appreciated. I urge you to Zach Thal if you think that you are being discriminated against at work. He took me and my case seriously and secured a win for me at trial.

Having just turned 60 years old, the time had come to update my and my wife's wills. I phoned two lawyers. One never did return my call. The other lawyer I called was Jan. Despite it being late on a Friday afternoon, she answered immediately! She took the time to understand our needs and promptly sent me a multi page form to complete. About a week later we met to review her work and recommendations. Jan set up a trust for us, updated our wills, provided a durable power of attorney and a health care power of attorney. After everything was signed and notarized (Jan is a Notary Public) she provided all documents in a tabbed 3 ring binder for easy reference. All documents were also scanned and emailed to me. As such, we now also have it stored on a thumb drive. Access to Jan, her attention to detail, sense of urgency and skill in this area of the law are each impressive. Taken together, these attributes separate Jan from almost all others in the profession. I would certainly endorse and recommend Jan for any estate planning needs.

Our company retained Janean Kelly, MBA, JD, in early 2016 for a contract dispute between our firm and a delinquent corporate client, a Washington corporation, with the case to be heard in Nevada. Ms. Kelly is a business attorney, local to our office, and is licensed both in Washington State and Nevada; thus, she was the logical choice for our needs, and we were not disappointed. We felt we were represented exceptionally well by Ms. Kelly in that matter. Her expertise in business, business law and contracts was evident, but she also was able to make complicated legal issues understandable to the layperson. Also, and importantly, through the course of the case, Ms. Kelly was excellent at communicating regularly the status of the case and prompt in returning all communications from us. Although the case for which we retained Ms. Kelly’s services has since settled, we continue to utilize her services for all our business needs. Quite simply, her work ethics are beyond reproach. We highly recommend the services of Janean Kelly, MBA, JD.

Ten years ago Richard was just ok. Although recommending a Special Needs Trust for my parents' wills turned out to be an unnecessary and expensive proposition. In needing to dissolve this SNT following both of their passing, we sought a meeting with him, but had a Zoom meeting instead. He simply read our emailed questions back to us with out answering them. He was not helpful and seemed to be confused, just referring us to other associates for things we needed.

Two years ago my wife and I selected Richard on the strength of friends' recommendations. We very quickly realized we had chosen wisely. He prepared a complete estate planning package for us - trust, wills, durable powers of attorney for asset management and health care, and advance health directives. At first meeting he projected a quiet confidence that immediately set us at ease. From initial conference through document filing Richard was the consummate professional, knowledgeable, approachable, thoughtful, responsive, patient, and caring. His staff also exhibited those same fine attributes throughout. Together Richard and staff made our estate planning a most pleasant and productive experience. Richard brings to his practice many strengths. The ones we most appreciated were his willingness to listen carefully to what we thought were our needs, his ability to clarify a complex subject and thereby help us better understand and refine our needs, and his calm, reassuring manner of gently guiding - never pushing - us toward the products most appropriate to meet those needs. Three months ago we again had need of Richard's services. We received a panicked call from the escrow company handling the refinance of our home advising we needed to remove it from our trust 'right then' in order for the refinance to move forward to closing a few days away. I phoned Richard at 5:00 pm that day and the next morning at 10:00 am we were in his office signing the necessary documents. No muss, no fuss, just a great example of the exemplary service Richard and staff routinely provide. Richard was an absolute delight to work with throughout the entire estate planning process and again during our recent need for his expertise and services. We've already recommended him to friends and will continue to do so. I don't suppose anyone looks forward to requiring legal services, but it's comforting to know that when that time inevitably comes again we'll be able to turn to Richard for support.

Matt was referred to us by one of his associates, Richard Tizzano. Matt is not responsive by phone and extremely slow with completing the most basic tasks. He took several months to complete setting up an LLC. He met with the prospective members numerous times answering questions about both the LLC and the Special Needs Trust from which the assets would come. Subsequently, he took on the case of dissolving the SNT, in which only some of the beneficiaries were involved in the LLC. He never met with both of the co-executors of the SNT, and was conflicted in his actions by favoring the members of the LLC over the other beneficiaries. He never took meeting requests or returned phone calls from the co-executor who was not part of the LLC! It was a definite conflict of interest on his part. He made numerous errors in his calculations and capital gains tax implications. He definitely should not be advertising himself as a Real Estate attorney.

Charles Peach is a top notch, top of his game, SUPER ATTORNEY! He represented me through the MOST DIFFICULT case. I was worried what would happen if it went the wrong way. Charles worked long hard hours with me on this case preparing for every possible situation. He looked at every possible angle, knew every law, and was totally prepared. Charles got surprisingly VERY AGGRESSIVE at just the right moment in the courtroom, which I had not seen before. I am grateful for his knowledge and expertise. His hard work saved me from what otherwise could have been a terrible future. Don't put your faith in a beginner attorney.. I went to Mr. Moran, even though his price was higher then most around our area. Pros: he was quick to get us in, and he was straight to the point. Cons: He got frustrated when we had additional questions about our case, and he did not explain certain things clearly like, our house and auto loans. I had a quick question about our bankruptcy a year and half after it was discharged, and he did not return our calls, I even offered to pay for the answer, and I actually had to consult another attorney for free because he never responded. My co-worker was doing bankruptcy same time we were, and found a cheaper lawyer in Silverdale, who accepted payments, and also made sure all questions were answered.

I was pulled over for a tail light being out over Memorial Day weekend 2010, as I was pulling in to my apartment driveway. The policemen smelled alcohol, I told him I'd had a couple of beers. Did the field sobriety test, I can't balance on one leg straight or sober, bad hips. He breathalyzed me and I blew a .086. First time I've ever been in trouble and I was mortified. The officer said that I'd crossed a yellow line and was driving on the wrong side of the road, not true! I crossed 2 yellow lines ( the turning lane) to get in to my apartment driveway, that's the only way to get in to the parking lot, it's not an illegal move. The officer lied about that and also said that he would take the tail light charge off of my ticket, as if he were doing me a favor, but later I realized, after reading the ticket, he made it look as if I were driving on the wrong side of the road and that's why he pulled me over, lying SOB! Since this has happened to me, I've heard terrible stories about this cop abusing his power, I'm filing a complaint against him next, didn't know that I could! I was scared, in a new town, didn't know anyone, I've never been in trouble before and I call a local lawyer- Mr. Franz. Big mistake! Should have called a professional DUI lawyer like Steve Bennet. Mr. Franz said "give me $2000 and I'll make it go away on your record, you'll do 2 years probation and that will be it". He also said "not to worry about going to the DMV courts" which was a total misrepresentation on his part to ignore. Stupid me, trusting Mr. Franz with my best interests at heart. I have been in compliance with my probation, I don't drink and drive, I've done all my courses etc... But since Mr. Franz neglected to represent me in the DMV courts, I now have a .08 on my drivers abstract, and that stays on your record FOREVER ! This means that I cannot go to Canada. It also means that I cannot apply for any of the high security background jobs that I once held before I owned a catering company and now my own restaurant. I know that it was wrong of me to drive after drinking. I get it, never again. Over the last 18 months, I've heard story after story of people getting off on DUI charges that have blown twice the limit as I did. One of them used public defenders, which are free, the others have used proper DUI lawyers. Not that I think that this is a good thing. I would have been more accepting of my charges had I been so dangerously over the limit. It's a little scary that these people are getting off and recommitting crimes, even killing people. But I made a bad mistake, and was busted in my driveway. I was already home, and not pulled over for reckless driving, just a tail light. So thank you Mr. Franz, for not doing your job, and ruining my chances of gainful employment in the future. You didn't even want to hear about my side of the story with the cop. So far I've gone all the way through the interviewing process for 2 flight attendant jobs, only to be rejected for having a .08 on my abstract. I'm up for a position now. It's a great job, based in NY, with free apartment and $75k a year, but I'm expecting that once they do my security background check, I won't get that job either because Mr Franz neglected to peruse the DMV courts and I will forever have that .08 on my driver's abstract. Unfortunately, I have to meet with Mr. Franz for my probation hearing in July, and I'm not looking forward to this. I just want to scream at him for not doing his job properly and just taking the $2000 and not thinking about it twice. What an ahole! DO NOT USE MR. FRANZ FOR A DUI, get a professional. Maybe he's better a practicing other types of law but not DUI cases, be warned! Dirt bag lawyers! Greed is the only thing that drives them. Great that he wanted the money up front as well. Using mr. Franz was worse than losing my kidney in 1990. But the BEST advise I can give you is DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!
