Haslam & Thorne, APC were amazing to work with from the beginning. With their specialty dealing in law enforcement divorces, I felt very taken care of. We hired Ms. Solario to support execution of our trust and to deal with disgruntled beneficiaries. Initially she suggested that we might not need an attorney. However, once we realized that some of the beneficiaries might challenge our execution of the trust, we felt it appropriate to hire an attorney. The trustees were in different states. But this was not an issue as she was more than willing to work via conferences calls, E-mail, and snail mail. She provided expert advice during initial establishment of the trust, providing guidance and interpretations of the trust document, helping us establish trust accounts, and ensuring that we complied with legal requirements. She provided sage advice during a real estate sale. Once we realized that the beneficiaries were going to contest provisions of the trust, she acted as the single point of contact so we didn’t have to field calls from them. When beneficiaries retained their own attorney, she didn’t back down at all. She convinced their attorney that he had no case and the beneficiaries and their attorney ultimately opted to not pursue the challenge further. We are very pleased with Ms. Solario’s legal support—we don’t know what we would have done without her.

I hired Esther Wang, Jason Oei, and their amazing team in 2016 after my elderly widowed father relocated from Arizona to California to reunite with his his high school girlfriend. Given his fragile health, we had an initial consult with Esther to explain his assets and financial situation in order to plan for the day he might need long term care. She recommended a solid plan to protect his rental property in Phoenix, and life insurance equity. We worked with her staff attorney Jason Oei to implement the details of this plan which included creating a trust, updated power of attorney docs, and a will. Jason was so helpful to represent us with several details concerning the title on my father's property in Arizona, and the homeowners association (which potentially had implications for his ability to continue renting out his property following transfer to the trust.) Jason helped us navigate all of this with confidence and patience, and he followed up on unresolved issues proactively.
More recently, my father had a serious illness which put him in the hospital for months, followed by 80 days of in-patient skilled nursing. We again hired the firm to advise on spend down and to handle his Medi-Cal application. Medi-Cal expert Kristie Reyland was so helpful, remained available to answer all my questions (and as a worrier, I had MANY), and put me at ease while we awaited the application to be approved.
As a Texas resident, I was familiar with the need for good long-term care planning with local counsel who know your state's ins/outs for Medicaid eligibility and asset protection. We hired a fantastic attorney for our TX-residing mother-in-law and she was worth every penny. Through that experience, I knew how important it was to find California experts on elder law, particularly Medi-Cal planning. While Redlands is nowhere convenient to my father's residence in the San Fernando Valley of LA County, I knew after consulting with Esther that she and her team were exactly who we needed to hire for help with my father. Dad was very comfortable with Jason, and everything was explained so well.
They are generous with their time, and truly get the job done for the price they quoted. They were also generous with their time to provide objective advice before I had even decided to move forward paying a retainer. They are a great example that if you build a helpful and trusting relationship with a client on the front end, they will want to do business with you.

Hired to help with my nasty divorce. I’m a professional business woman and my ex was attempting to steal our assets and my income by making false claims of abuse to simply increase his chances of getting large support orders. Mr. Rinaldelli and his office staff were very helpful in guiding me through the frustrations of the whole divorce process. He really made me feel like her cared about me and my situation and helping get me to a better new life beyond my failed marriage. Was very aggressive in court and very sharp and saw all the angles my ex and his lawyer were trying to employ. After a tough battle he was able to convince the court of my ex’s lies and I didn’t have to pay any support whatsoever. And he accomplished all of this in less than six months even though my ex was trying to drag the case on to force me to pay his lawyers fees and pressure me to settle. In the end I had to pay no support, no attorney fees, and was granted a restraining order against my ex. Mr. Rinaldelli and his office really helped me to move past my divorce and I’m very thankful. He was also very reasonable in his payment arrangements, discounts, and overall fees. I believe my ex paid his lawyer almost twice what I paid Mr. Rinaldelli and he lost almost everything he wanted. Hire Mr. Rinaldelli for a child custody modification. All paperwork was given to him within 2 days of retaining him, it took him over 7 months to file my paperwork. I had called, emailed, left message after message only to be ignored for months. Once I finally did speak to him he just gave excuse after excuse. He was highly recommended by a past client that is why I didn't just fire him. He agreed to two continuous' without even consulting me. Once we finally did go to court SIX months after the filing date due to continuous after continuous he was great. Very professional and does know the law very well. But it should not take over a year for a simple modification. An order after hearing was never filed by him although I did request one several times. If he only would be respectful of his clients time and money outside of the court room he would be great.

This is a typical snide comment in response to very valid questions- where are we at in the processs? Why haven’t you been in touch to update me? Gregory was referred by a friend who is innocent in wanting to help me. I had a very lengthy conversation with him last year- I made payments to him to file a full patent, he sent only necessary correspondence, but ghosted me after that, so when it came time to ask? his reply was arrogant and rude! He talks to women like they have something to learn from him, no it’s really rather simple….I pay you for a service? I should be kept in the loop even if there are t changes? when I expressed this I was greeted with a lot of disrespect and off putting behavior. I met with him virtually one last final time, he told me sleep on this? Think about it, and I will follow up in two days- after the time window of two days passed? I received a “Dear John” letter from his assistant- stating he doesn’t have the time for me? I expressed my confusion and disagreed with this- and he replied with no explanation or regard- he’s confusing, and is not of his word- today I received a random email stating he’s terminated the relationship of representing my patent - so yeah there were words exchanged because now- I had had enough! You be the judge if this was you?
