I searched all of the greater Sacramento area to find the best lawyer I could to represent me in my DUI case. I met with 10 different firms before meeting with Mr.Runkle. Many of the firms I met with had me speak to a Para legal who would then pass me off to a lawyer of their choosing from their firm who would then be my representative. When I met with Mr.Runkle I knew almost immediately that this was going to be my lawyer of choice. He attacked my case from every angle possible even though I didn't give him much to work with based on the facts of my case. I do not believe anybody else in the county could have gotten me a deal even close to what Mr.Runkle achieved for me. If I ever have legal trouble in the future I will definitely be contacting him. If you have a DUI in Sacramento, Placer or any of the surrounding areas you would be making a huge mistake not to contact the Runkle law firm. Thank you Joe for everything you did for me.

My experience with Ben was not a good one. My chief complaint is that he is NOT good at communicating the status of the case, returning phone calls or emails. I was told all inquiries would receive a response within a “ reasonable amount of time”, which translates to when he made it a priority to get back to me. This lack of communication led to a degradation of our communications with one another as I had no idea if he was following deadlines or not. Example, at our first court hearing I had called and emailed Ben regarding the hearing and I did not hear back from him until the morning of the hearing, which is unacceptable.
A reasonable amount of time is 24-48 hours. This never happened and a typical response back was 5-7 days which did not work for me. Deadlines and follow through were another issue. I feel overall there was a lack of preparation and at best it felt rushed in his part and most likely contributed to why he was not good about “status updates “or answering my questions. I know attorneys are very busy, but this was 100% unacceptable. Also, blaming the client and treating the client as the problem, a really bad idea. Someone from the office should have responded even if only to say we got your message and we will be in touch.instead I was treated as the problem as they when someone finally did reach back out, they would say “ we have received your numerous calls and emails and sending more emails will not get a quicker response”.
If you don’t want to be kept in the loop, if you don’t care about accountability and you want your case to take as long as possible, then Ben is your guy. If you want to be kept in the loop, not hear excuses but hear the progress in your case, and have deadlines and necessary correspondence followed through with- Look somewhere else.
Ben is smart and articulate but business practice and communication is very poor.

Ben eagleton is extremely poor and communication skills. I asked many many times to be kept the loop on any emails or correspondence with my case. Because he refused to keep me in the loop I was in the verge of losing my case. I had to fire him and get a lawyer that would keep me in the loop.

Ben Jacob's is someone you'd call when other attorney either has given you false hope or a run around for your time/money.
Ben took on the challenge I was facing for over a year. My previous attorney wasn't aggressive during my Preliminary hearing and I was facing trial... I called up Ben, trusted in him.. and he not only got my case fully DISMISSED but also Got me an apology from courts.
Ben and his team are professionals who treat you like family. When he walks into the court room, you feel superior being his client. A man of a few words.. But His presence is well known.
I had over 16 accusations. Facing 2 felony counts. EVERYTHING WAS DISMISSED. Ben went out of his way and wrote letters to my senior executives at work (as I wasn't passing a background check for employment)
When I say he goes out of his way to solve ALL your problems. He does! No words can describe the appreciation and respect I have for Ben Jacobs and his team.

I was referred to Paul by my chiropractor. I thought that was a good reference since my chiro was taking a lien and would only get paid if Paul won my case. Paul was great! He guided me through a lot of medical issues and got a reasonable settlement. It took s long time, but that wasn't Paul's fault. The plaintiff's insurance was trying to wear us down. Paul was patient but forceful when necessary. He replied to my calls/ texts/ emails in a timely manner and always kindly explained what was happening. I've already recommended several others to him and they also have had positive experiences.

I reached out to Hoyjberg law to assist in an auto accident. After speaking with Paul Hoyjberg, I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism, communication skills and the totality of his work experience.
Paul was assertive and immediately started working on my case. He provided more information in a short matter of time than any information I could gather in months!!! The other drivers insurance was very difficult to deal with! They would never respond to any of my questions or concerns.

When I started the process of my divorce over 2 1/2 years ago, I thought I would be able to it without an attorney. After a couple months of back and forth, and getting nowhere I reached out to Miller & Associates. This was the best decision and the only thing I wish I would have done different was reach out sooner. Leigh and Anthony were phenomenal! They answered countless questions, walked me through the process step by step, and ensured everything was done timely and correctly. I didn’t feel pushed while making decisions, everything was always fully explained and I was able to make the best decision for myself and my daughter. They assisted with child support and contacting my ex-husbands place of business when I wasn’t able to get any answers. They took a stressful situation and helped me feel more at ease and comfortable with the entire process. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Sean is honest, kind and proactive – he lifted such a huge weight and worry off my shoulders. I felt backed into a corner, trying to defend my daughter and I by getting a restraining order on my own. I was naïve to the court process and thought I could do it on my own. He jumped in right away and helped me to see the situation differently to release the upset and worry. He worked with the other side to put out the fire rather than inflame it to run up his own fees. Sean’s integrity shines and I have to say…. How empowering to hear the other attorney squirm when she recognized his name!

I was prepared to write a good review for Sean Patrick because I could sense from the get-go that he is refreshingly honest and well intentioned but I was not prepared to write such a phenomenal review. I was truly blown away by his performance in the courtroom. Sean was retained very late in the game and a continuance was unfortunately denied but he did not appear to be any less prepared than he would have been otherwise. He was also not up against just one attorney but two on the other side, one of whom I understand has a 60 page resume and is "the best of the best" in what he does. Despite such impressive and intimidating representation from the other party, Sean held a perfectly calm assertiveness and nailed every point on its head to an extent that I honestly just did not expect. The other two attornies together probably cost 3 times what Sean cost yet I did not at any time feel that reflected in the trial. Quite the contrary, actually. I share this as a token to Sean for his great work but more importantly because I feel that people need to know who they can trust in the game of retaining attornies. Sean really is one of the "good guys, " which is unfortunately more few and far between than I would like to believe. If you didn't know this already, know it now: it is so incredibly important to walk into any attorney-client relationship with eyes wide open because (let's be honest) there is just so much senseless corruption and dishonesty that tends to be involved. After having been through the whole process with him I can genuinely say that Sean can be trusted. There were opportunities to where he could have taken advantage of the situation and claimed that he was owed more money than he was or created more unnecessary work for himself but he did not. It is refreshing to know that attornies like Sean exist. He is a great choice and absolutely first recommendation on my list.

At the beginning of my legal situation, I was representing myself and went between feeling unsure to fairly confident. This was up until the time when my husband hired a lawyer.
I felt completely overwhelmed and actually afraid. Too much was at stake. I knew I was no longer qualified to provide for and protect my children in the court setting.

After meeting with him, I knew he would help protect my children.
Mr. Patrick has helped me to feel safe again.

Richard was a key member of the team that fought and won my very, very large and complicated family law custody/move-away case. He represented me in court several times, was my main point of contact to help me understand every facet of the case, and prepared most of my documents for court.
I'm generally a pretty easy person to work with. Except in this situation I am fully aware I was an absolute neurotic mess. I'd send dozens of emails with questions, info, make phone calls with lots of questions. The level of patience he demonstrated with me was astounding. And none of it was placation, because bits and pieces of those piles of emails and phone calls would show up later in documents and court, showing that Richard was painstakingly looking for everything that could help my case.
It wasn't just professionalism though. He really understood what I was going through and wanted to do his job but also reassure me during the process. So happy to have been able to work with him.

We wanted a lawyer that didn't charge an absurd price (though we were realistic about the average cost) and was willing to work remotely (we are located in SoCal). He was also not squirmy when we mentioned we wanted cryonics listed in our will as death actions (or whatever). He provided us detailed info on what we needed to get him and how to proceed. My Homeowners' Association (HOA) sent me letter indicating the were pursuing court actions to assess an outrageous fine for a sign posted in my property. The sign indicated 24 hours surveillance cameras monitoring activity and trespassers on the premisses may be prosecuted including the citing section; as required by law. My front lawn has various figurines, planted pots and lawn lights. The HOA argued the sign may be considered unfriendly or uninviting. They wanted me to remove my personal pots, figurines and statues from my front lawn. I contacted Nyoki Sacramento upon receipt of legal action from this major well known law firm representing many Bay Area HOAs.
Within one to two months this matter was resolved to my satisfaction. Nyoki kept me continously involved and updated about the conference calls and negotiations. The end results were to my complete satisfaction, better than I expected, the assessment fee s were recinded. I received a letter of apology and also an agreement that the sign was deemed acceptable and everything in my from landscaping design was approved. Her fees were reasonable and her service was swift.The final setlement agreement also included a "gag order" (they could not disclose or discuss this matter again or such violation could result in legal action by me). I know serve as the President of this HOA Board of Directors.

When I started the process of my divorce over 2 1/2 years ago, I thought I would be able to it without an attorney. After a couple months of back and forth, and getting nowhere I reached out to Miller & Associates. This was the best decision and the only thing I wish I would have done different was reach out sooner. Leigh and Anthony were phenomenal! They answered countless questions, walked me through the process step by step, and ensured everything was done timely and correctly. I didn’t feel pushed while making decisions, everything was always fully explained and I was able to make the best decision for myself and my daughter. They assisted with child support and contacting my ex-husbands place of business when I wasn’t able to get any answers. They took a stressful situation and helped me feel more at ease and comfortable with the entire process. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. John did a great job on my case I was found not guilty of 4 felonies and had cought 2 cops lying on the stand and they got suspended over it he had paused the court in order to get advice from his supervisor that's pretty amazing and then he made the proper decision to not be seen buy a jury trial because only a lawyer and a judge would know the law the way it's written and therefore got me not guilty on a technicality because the way the law was written
