I hired Mr. Reese in 2019 for a DUI. I fell asleep at a stop light and blew a .09. Because of COVID, a mistrial in 2021 and Mr. Reese wanting to have the right judge in front of us, it took until last week to have this case resolved. He presented arguments that he hadn't even let me know that he had up his sleeve and I was found NOT GUILTY!!! Let me tell you...I remember seeing the sign back in the 70's seeing " Welcome to Smithfield, home of the KKK" and I thought I was definitely behind the eight ball, being black.

Since my divorce it was very difficult adjusting to the fact that I wouldn't get to see my son everyday like I was used too. In the beginning I worked six days a week so when I was served with custody papers from my sons mother I had no way of getting around anything because of my job. Every other weekend really took a toll on me. Constantly calling my sons mother trying to work out a schedule to see him here and there besides every other weekend always ended in a argument, followed by a hang-up, and "NO" answer when I tried to call back. This literally drained me of my life, and sense of self, and I was lost. So I got a better job with a flexible schedule that could possibly help my situation.I thought "now all I needed was to find a good lawyer". I found two different lawyers and payed my "consultation fees" to both. I got the same results. They didn't even act like they wanted to hear it and didn't care to help. So basically I had nothing. I was so disappointed. One day I was talking with a friend about it and he told me to contact Marcia Stewart. He said she is the best and is fair and honest. Well that is exactly what I did and I just have to say that it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made it my life. She got everything worked out for me. I now feel like I have my life back and can be the father I have always dreamed of being to my son. Thank you Marcia, you changed my life so much.

We have never had an attorney but, if, in the future, we ever needed one, for what ever reason, Mr. L. Lamar Armstrong is now my over whelming choice. If you are looking for someone that you could call a ”Perry Mason”, Mr. Armstrong is your man. In my opinion, Mr. Armstrong is knowledgeable, a great listener with a great personality making one very comfortable and able to discuss issues easily and without feeling intimidated. My situation resulted from a local Large Home Center reneging on a legal contract. 45 days after the contract was signed and due to be completed in 15 days, the local Large Home Center called me and informed me that they were raising the price of my roofing job by an outrageous 250%. I was told that this was not negotiable. They said “They had a way out!” and hung up on me. Since this seemed to be a deliberate contract violation by the local Large Home Center, it was obvious that I needed a good attorney. I did a lot of research and selected L. Lamar Armstrong. I documented all the details of the transaction and presented them with the signed contract to Mr. Armstrong. At our first meeting, he informed us that our contract was valid and binding and the Large Home Center had no outs or legal recourse but to honor the contract as is (not a good option for me since I did not trust them) or have my roof installed by a different roofer. I could then file a Small Claims suit to recover the difference between our original legal and binding contract and whatever my new roofer would charge. He told us that, at this point, we would not need additional services from him, but he was available to give us follow-up advice at no additional charge. Based on his superb advice, suggestions, proposed action plans, and resulting responses from local Large Home Center, we obtained the evidence of the contract violation enabling us to easily win our case in Small Claims court.

Although he may be relatively young, lawyer Ron Trimyer was very professional and smart. He was very knowledgable and quick on his feet at my trial. Prior to it he was readily available , in addition to giving me his phone number and extension, he also gave me his personal email address. A good attorney like him is worth his weight in gold. I've had him for a criminal case, and a speeding ticket, and i have recommended him to my friends for a personal injury and social security matter.

I have been working with Mr. Wenzel for about 15 years and he is a truly exceptional attorney. He is my go to attorney for everything. Mr. Wenzel is a true professional, do yourself a favor and make him your first call. He will get it done. He can handle extremely complicated estates and business transactions all the way down to the "easy" home close. Every time I call him he gets is done exactly correct!
Mr. Wenzel has handled many legal documents and transactions for me, and has delivered perfectly every time. I will share one story in particular that was so over and above exceptional! Keep in mind Mr. Wenzel can handle very complicated transactions but here is an "easy one" it just happens to be my favorite story.
My wife and I were buying our dream house on a lake in North Carolina. I personally made this transaction about as complicated as possible, it may have been the most complicated home purchase in history! We worked with the Armstrongs on our case after a terrible broadside car wreck where a Cable Company vehicle was distracted and ran a red light. Much was stolen from me and my wife. I had a very difficult case. My checks did not come on time. I was in serious pain and was not receiving proper medical attention. The T.V. lawyers before Mr. Mast would not keep me informed of my case and acted as though they did not have the time to talk to me. I was frustrated and in pain. A friend of the family introduced me to Mr. Mast and he talked to me and answered my questions honestly. When I told him about my checks being delayed and issues I had with the employees doctors he immediately began making phone calls on my behalf. Mr. Mast will hang in there with you until the end even if he has to go beyond the industrial commission.If you want a ,trustworthy, and responsive, knowledgeable attorney Mr. Mast is the man.He has some of the friendliest staff of people from the receptionist,paralegals and staff attorneys that you would ever want to meet. They make you feel at home offering you a cold drink on a hot day and hot coffee on cold days. Once your case is over he will continue to provide followups to make sure you are alright! I recommend this man and his firm who has proven to be more than a lawyer for hire,but a friend who genuinely cares about you.

I found Paul Phipps with Nelson Law Office on Google and I am so glad I did! I worked with Paul for almost 2 years and he is an exceptional attorney! He is the worse lawyer ever the staff is great but he doesn't deserve to be a lawyer I see why they say never get a court appointed lawyer he never in the 11 months called me back or went to court for my man he kept continuing his case told him after he sat for 6 months the DA gave him 10 months but he could talk him into giving him 8 months never got in touch with him and told him he wouldn't go to prison and everything he said was a lie he did 10 months and went to prison to this day he has never talked to me or the family but the ladies in the office are great and need to find another job he was supposed to get have some paperwork signed for him but didn't follow proper procedure and have a judge sign off on the paperwork and didn't my man did a year for nothing he doesn't need a license to defend anyone

I gave him one star because I had to, he did not use my evidence in court, was not working for me. I had my pictures and medical bills to show I was assaulted and that my truck was vantilized and he never gave to the DA. He put off 5 months. He never discussed my case with me! My ex filed to change custody agreement. I used Martin to help me. He never asked for my paperwork to prove i am right or to show my side. The day before court he pressured me to agree to almost everything my ex wanted. I told him about past trauma, abuse and past DVPO. His answer was "You have only 6 years left to deal with it. You are going to be fine". I was very disappointed. Karen, his paralegal was amazing.

After almost three years of trying to get my divorce and property settlement finalized, I was at my wits end and changed attorneys. I retained Mr. Tetreault and was incredibly pleased with how quickly he brought the matter to conclusion. He was very direct in what I could expect. I had no issues with communication and either he or Karen returned my calls in a timely manner. We did not go to trial so I cannot speak to his performance in the courtroom. My case was settled in mediation. Mr. Tetreault was prepared for each session and had obviously done the necessary research for my case. I was very pleased with all aspects of his representation. I would and have recommended him to others with similar circumstances.

I've had an ongoing suit with George Mast since 2019. He took me and another woman to court for unpaid legal fees that we never knew we owed because he admitted in court he had the wrong address due to his own negligence. Although he had our email addresses the whole time and contact information via phone he did everything through the mail and wrote down the wrong address even though in our file the right address was there. Long story short he sues us takes us to court for $19,000. In the beginning we were giving absolutely horrific legal advice he was ignorant enough to say a separation agreement does not need to be notarized in North Carolina to be valid which is not the case. As a matter of fact we had proof that the notary signed the separation agreement without the wife present due to her illness. We told him this and he said it didn't matter. Crazy!!! There was no more money to fight this battle and he basically told us just sign over the house.
In court the judge even corrected him about the separation agreement and said it absolutely has to be notarized... what an embarrassment this man is. The man is 87 years old and has no business practicing law and putting other people's lives in his hands. Long story short The judgment came down to 10,000 which he still did not earn. So a judgment is being placed on a woman that is dying of cancer that lives in a trailer in Florida and a single mother whose husband died last year. Due to his negligence a house was lost and an elderly woman was left with nothing. We have every intention to move forward with a complaint to the bar association . He was also caught billing for his mistakes. He made errors in paperwork and had to go back and fix them and charged us for it. On top of it lost 120 pages of legal work done by a prior attorney. It's unbelievable how the court system works now. But at least Johnston county courts heard first hand how negligent and irresponsible this man is and his firm. I trained monkey would have done a better job for us. Do not ever use this firm or George Mast.

I was billed over and multiple times for what, I'm not exactly sure. Before even my orientation to mediation, I was billed 3 grand. Can't imagine what the cost would've been to even mediate or more less, go to court. I had to ask the same question multiple times to get a response and was billed for the multiple communication attempts! Seriously? I sent in payment which still wasn't reflected on my bill a month after they cashed my check. Still waiting for a response from the man himself about the exorbitant fees. Of course, 3 days later, I'm still waiting in limbo. Keep looking unless you want to pay a lot for nothing!

George is a personable man however if you are from out of state expect that he will bill you double what it costs and will feed you a platefull of DOWN HOME COOKING in other words he will take your money and make sure that you will not prevail. While Bob Spence is a "nice, pleasant person," please do NOT waste your time or money by hiring Bob Spence IF you want to win your case, or have anything difficult that requires focus or preparation. He was my 3rd lawyer, and I used him for over a year, and he accomplished NOTHING except draining my limited funds and frustrating me!! In court, he and the opposing lawyer and the Judge went into chambers IN ADVANCE OF THE COURT PROCEEDING, and I'm guessing they decided then who was "going to win, or take a fall." Sadly for me, Bob took the fall. He all but rolled over on his back for opposing counsel to "scratch his tummy." I don't think he was at all prepared. He seems scatter brained most of the time (like the absent minded professor) and it was clear he was NOT at all prepared for trial. To be a 2nd generation attorney, he is NOT worth hiring. I think Bob takes on way too many clients at once, to do a good job for others. Apparently, the ability to say "give me $3,000.00 up front to get started" is too much of a temptation for Bob and other lawyers, as they promise NOTHING. I guess that's why they call it "practicing law." Personally, I would NOT trust any male lawyer in Johnston County, as they are all friends, and part of "the good ol boy system." Bob is definitely NOT the attorney to hire for a messy estate proceeding. FYI: Bob represents the town of Smithfield, NC (including the Smithfield Police Dept.) so DON'T look for any help there with him, as it is a conflict of interest for him. He will also have an apparent "conflict of interest" IF the opposing attorney is a personal friend of his, as Bob will NOT put the client's best interest above his lawyer friend. While I can only speak about my personal experiences, personally I would NOT recommend Emery Ashley for an estate case, as he did NOT know certain critical facts that he SHOULD HAVE KNOWN to practice in this area of law and make a court order stand up in court. Even worse, IF the opposing counsel is George Mast (Sr.) who will do ANYTHING to win (including lying, omitting critical components from a court Order, etc.) you're dead in the water. I hired Emery and he basically "threw me under the bus" by working out a "surprise deal" with opposing counsel without first consulting me. His prepared documents, i.e., Affidavits, etc. DON'T look professionally done, based on my experience. Sadly, all factual truth.
