I was facing 3 felony charges and when I contacted Mr. Furlong’s office, Jessica was the first one I spoke with. She was absolutely incredible, so nice and friendly, and was able to make me feel better about the situation at hand. Mr. Furlong had delivered on every single thing he said he would do for me, and was able to knock all 3 felonies down to one single misdemeanor and keep me from going to jail. Attorney Spindle is simply an awesome lawyer. He literally went to bat for me on the legal frontier at the Loundoun courthouse. What a day to remember! Knowing that I wouldn't have to see the inside of a jail cell was blessing enough but to go the extra mile and further negotiate with the tough police Officer to reduce pending court charges on me was for lack of a better word phenomenal. Attorney Spindle went from persuading both the Commonwealth attorney, Cop and Judge that a "not guilty" plea was in my best interest accepting all fault to winning the court case for me when the judge, the final authority decided an improper driving infraction was my charge. That was a slam dunk of a court conclusion given I had been charged with reckless driving and an accident. I don't advocate for what I did, in fact I apologized to the judge but to have the blessing of a Spindle will always go a long way. Definitely highly recommend Attorney Spindle's legal brilliance. Mr. Spindle helped me out tremendously. I had a very bad DUI, where the victim was pushing to go to trial and attempt to get me upwards of 30 days jail time. Mr. Spindle was able to get me only 5 days jail time, after a continuation, and with all facts pointing against me. One of the best and would highly recommend.

My divorce took almost 3 years and included such fun items as a retired National Guard officer who refused to work, sued for spousal support, refused to pay child support, had a significant problem with alcoholism, voluntarily unemployed himself to reduce child support payments, and who hired incompetent lawyers. Throughout it all, Mr. Butler was the epitome of calm, cool and collected. He held my hand when it was needed, was a shark in the court room, and got me what I needed in the divorce to ensure my children were taken care of and that I wasn’t taken advantage of.
In a time of uncertainty and chaos that was my life after my ex-husband and I separated, Ted was the one stable person I had working on my side to make sure I didn't make any costly errors in judgment based on emotion instead of logic.

I would not recommend. There were many times I had to remind her she represented me and not the other party because she prioritized getting any information THEY requested over what I needed before court. I also had the exact same experience another client posted for their review, despite stressing that we needed to ask for child and spousal support she said, we can ask for that during your divorce case and waited until right before we were about to walk into court to run the paperwork up to the clerks office so not only did we not get that set but because paperwork had not been submitted until the last minute I was ordered to pay the other parties attorneys fees. The only time she was quick to make sure I recieved paperwork was when I went to sign off to end her representation as my lawyer. I was told I owed her thosands of dollars and because my retainer had been used up and when asked why this was the first time I was hearing about this was told "we've been emailing the bills to you" despite me repeatedly informing her I was having issues recieving emails. The multiple times I was in her office there was no mention that she was now billing me well after and that my retainer was used up. Instead I was handed a large envelope on the spot that was as thick as a book listing billed hours. You are better off handing your money directly to the other party and saving yourself the time and frustration.

BEWARE OF THIS LAW FIRM. I hired them to represent me on a child custody and visitation matter solely no child support. During my consultation with Andrew Taylor we had a conversation which was supposed to be a recorded conversation where we discussed my options and he explained to me if we didn’t get the results I wanted we could always appeal the decision which he wouldn’t typically suggest because it would get expensive and cost around another $10k and usually the results stay the same (we never got that far) I felt confident after the consultation and paid them $7500 for a retainer and he explained to me that if there was anything left after the court date it would be given back to me which I knew there wouldn’t be. They sent me statements leading up to the court date and after the court date they sent me another statement saying the remaining balance I had left ($2,332) was gone and now I owe them another $14k so now this child custody and visitation matter has gone up to $21,800 including the consultation and retainer fee now they are trying to sue me for this balance because I signed a contract they make you sign when you do the retainer at this point with court fees etc this law firm is trying to get a total of over $36k out of me because I signed the contract which I signed based off the conversation with Mr. Taylor putting my trust in these people thinking they were there to help only to be taken advantage of had they been honest with me at that time I would have said okay I appreciate your time but that’s out of my budget and found another attorney to represent me now this entire situation has become a nightmare that I can’t afford and would have never put myself in that position from the start had they been honest with me. So I want to make people aware that this law firm will take advantage of you be careful and think twice before signing there contract agreement

Hiring them was the biggest mistake I have ever made.
They cost me a fortune on an uncontested divorce.
After hiring a new firm they had all parties back at the table talking calmly in a week. My divorce was final only a month or two later after almost a year.

Had a consultation. They suggested I do some leg work before moving forward, which I did. Then I tried to set up a meeting to continue the process. After being ghosted for two weeks, one of the "Partners" took the phone call and stated they were refusing to represent me with a very rude and condescending attitude.

If you like hiring a Lawyer that looks and acts expensive Jason pelt is your guy, "this is easy" was his words, but lost the case and all he had to say was "its a tough day at the court" and walked away, costing us 70k + in expense. His did not give us good advice or legal strategy. Specifically, he did not advise us of the “Troxel v. Granville” Supreme Court Ruling that caused us to lose custody of our granddaughter.
We dismissed him, appealed, hired better lawyers and got her back.
