This thank you note is long overdue. This past Christmas holidays while spending one night at home with 2 of my children, I began to recount to them details about my financial journey in the last 5 years.
I recalled probably the darkest moment since the passing of my wife when my house was listed under a foreclosure sheriff sale; and then what appeared to have been like a divine intervention, you approached me offering your legal services to save my house. I remembered during one meeting in your office another customer of yours telling me “Do everything he tells you to do and you’ll be fine” which I found comforting, and as a little light at the end of the tunnel. Today I feel what a piece of sound advice that was, and one that I’d be ready to pay it forward if given the chance. You developed a chapter 13 plan, got it approved by the bankruptcy court, and put it in front of me to execute for 48 consecutive months after filing on 12/30/2019. Your final advise was – keep yourself employed and make your payments every month to the mortgage companies and the trustee. I managed to do that despite some bumps along the way.
Losing my wife to cancer, and with it, losing half of my household income, and then not having a steady job made it hard to keep up with the bills and my house mortgage. I shared this life episode with my children, as I was lucky now to see them making successful strides and forging ahead in their professional careers after completing their university degrees.
I will forever be grateful to the two of you, for giving me the assistance to restructure my finances, and now be able to continue with better footing.

I looked for a lawyer to handle my will, trust and estate planning. I found Sean and took a shot. I'll just say that my experience has led me to speak publicly about him, something I rarely do unless I'm very impressed. Sean is impressive. My wife and I worked with Sean preparing new Wills, Life Insurance Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Proxies. We found Sean to be extremely knowledgeable and professional. We hired the Ko Firm for the purchase of our home and couldn't be happier with the experience. Harry Ko and Tom Szieber guided us every step of the way through the tricky closing process, and made sure that they were always there for us when we ran into an issue or had a question.
Harry's wealth of experience in residential and commercial real estate was reassuring as it was impressive. He was able to anticipate and warn us of all of the gotchas and pitfalls well before we came across them. He tackled some of the trickier negotiation points with ease and prepared us early with advice that proved to be a big help further along in the process. This was huge for us, as this was our first time buying a house and had no prior experience whatsoever.
Equally impressive was the teamwork and coordination between Harry and Tom, as well as Legal Assistants Sarah and Barbara. Whenever we emailed or called anyone at the Ko Firm, they always seemed to all be on the exact same page.

Kenneth represented me in a very complicated trust/insurance lawsuit. During discovery, I was overwhelmed and very emotional, but Ken kept me focused and pushed me to find documents to support my position. Throughout the process, from discovery to arbitration to summary judgement, Ken was very proactive, and left no stone unturned. My problem began with what I thought was a good decision. Shortly after, I received a devastating news about that decision. I was at the verge of losing hope about any recovery. I contacted several lawyers and the only one that gave me confidence and was willing to work with me was Attorney Jordan Dascal. Not only did he return my call in a timely fashion, but he was also very knowledgeable about the situation. After reviewing the circumstances, he assured me of a good outcome and recommended a fair financial agreement. Now that we are in the final stages, I can highly suggest Jordan as someone who not only looked out for my interest, but kept me involved in the process, answered all my texts and emails promptly- even during ungodly hour. I went to his office to make a will. He told me that it would take 2 weeks and I agreed. I didn't hear or receive his work from him over 2 weeks but thought he would contact with me when it was done soon so waited. One month past, I didn't hear from him at all, so called his office few times but no one picked up the phone so left a message but not received a phone call from him. I got frustrated and felt disrespect by ignored. Finally his assistant answered the phone one day. I told him that it's been more than one month since I met Mr. Van and tell him I needed to talk to him. I didn't hear from him right away, but 4 days later finally. He told me that he would mail it in 2-3 days. However I didn't receive it. Now it's been more than 2 month!!! I was very upset and called and left a message saying I wanted to cancel. He emailed me saying, he was traveling in Eulope and he would cancel and discontinue his work. I couldn't believe it! He never told me that he was traveling! Well he never started working for my will. He is the worst attorney I ever met! I wish I could give zero star! He doesn't deserve even one star! Terrible experience! I waited for 2 months for nothing!

Susan assisted us in the purchase of our home in Chatham NJ. As first time home-buyers the process seemed really daunting, and there's no way things would have gone so smoothly without an attorney as good as Susan. Susan was always quick to respond, thorough and clear about everything going on, and she provided good suggestions as to proposed revisions to the standard NJ real estate contract that protected us well. Our close was so smooth, and there were no surprises or hidden costs. I believe she did a great job advocating for us and our interests in the transaction. We worked with Susan last fall on a real estate transaction. Overall, we were not entirely satisfied with the experience. To sum things up, there were a few delays during our transaction and Susan was not aggressive enough to advocate on our behalf. As a result there were some financial implications on our end that never should have happed and we were ultimately dissatisfied.

Paul Grosswald completely bungled my case. He didn't show up in court three times. He didn't provide discovery or contact the opposing counsel after the judge ordered him to do so. Every conversation was about him trying to get me to settle so his obligation would end because his fee was prepaid. On the fourth court appearance he made it clear that he was not going to be my advocate and I was forced to settle by withdrawing my complaint. He also doesn’t present himself in a professional manner.
