As someone who spent time in both State and Federal courts, I can tell you there is without question no one I would rather have represent me more than Monika Mastalone. From the minute I met Melissa Gertz, I felt a sense of ease and comfort come over me. A sense of "this fight alone is finally over". I suffer from brain issues and severe memory problems due to a past brain infection and never damage. At 44 years old, I have worked all my life and never needed state assistance of any kind. I applied for Social Security Disability 2 years ago only to be denied twice! I had lost 3 jobs and 2 apartments (in the process of losing the 3rd apt) as a direct result of my "incompetence" and medical condition. Unable to accept myself that I could no longer work, I still continued to look for work anywhere. With the doctors and testing and hospital stays and exploratory treatments and the pain and depression and so on and so on. I was almost at the end of my rope when I walked into her office. After talking to her for about 45 minutes, I walked out of her office feeling for once in a very very long time, HOPE. I felt the weight of the world leaving my shoulders. She has continued to take my crying phone calls and point me in the direction of whatever help I need while always being so polite and helpful. She is such a different attorney. We first hired an attorney to fight a credit card company who posted all our payments to a nonexistent account. Unbeknownst to us he placed us in bankruptcy! At the time we never even had a late payment! To make matters worse the judge assigned, our lawyer, and the appraiser for the feds were all part of an investment group and were trying to fabricate debt to profit from flipping my house. Every other attorney we contacted was willing to help us until they were told what judge was involved. A friend of the family recommended Mr. Zimnis. Of course he was skeptical of our tale of woe, but he treated us with respect and did everything legally possible to rectify the situation. He gave us all our options as well as his recommendation. Although it did cost us a lot financially (no fault of Mr. Zimnis) he managed a reasonable settlement against all odds. He never backed down until he was triumphant. This guy is truly in this business for the right reason....to HELP!

Carley represented me in an unemployment hearing. I called another attorney that wanted a significant percentage of my unemployment benefits if I was given my back unemployment and I had to pay taxes on everything received! I also called another attorney that wanted an unreasonable rate and they may not have been willing to go in person. I chose to pay a flat reasonable rate that I feel was fair and that I could afford. Carley's representation included a preparation before the day of the hearing. Carley was prepared for the hearing and was there in person. I had a good case but it wasn't a slam dunk. Carley knew the case. She asked questions that I didn't think of and she knew employment law. And I got a good night's sleep before the hearing.
