John was recommended to me by another attorney to handle a very difficult and complicated case. We have a lending company ,our client passed away but prior to his passing he took a very large deposit on this property from one of his employees on a promise that their would be a credit for that amount and she could purchase the property ,
Upon her employers death she decided that the property was hers and she became a squatter unable to buy the property but decided she owned it. The woman then decided our company and myself were responsible for her loss. She sued us for fraud, conversion of the funds, unjust enrichment and anything else she and her attorney made up.
Fast forward John Harkevy to the rescue. He analyzed the case and on 5 seperate actions against us won summary judgement in our favor on all 5. He then started an action for possession and back rent which we settled on favorable terms. Thankyou John who I would highly revomend for his knowledge and how well he handled such a difficult and complicated case.

If you spend long enough in the workforce, sooner or later you will find yourself on the receiving end of an unfortunate situation on the job. Whether by malice, pure stupidity, or the broad swath of that particualr Venn diagram that overlaps proudly, someone will prove to you that no good deed goes unpunished for long. Fortunately, when you hire Judi Miller, no evil deed you've suffered will go unpunished either.
I can't say too much about my own particular situation thanks to the terms of the settlement Judi got for me, and of course the language in the agreement made it clear that neither party was to assume that they prevailed; suffice it to say, from the perspective of the other party involved, it's hard to write a check with that many zeroes on it and feel like you are winning, unless perhaps you are at an art auction. Which they were not.
Judi Miller is an excellent attorney, bringing depth of experience and passion for helping her clients to the table in a refreshingly BS-free manner. As you can imagine, the legal matter comes with a huge frustration, a lot of stress and lots of unpleasant time. Sometimes, well most of the time, when we end up in this situation, we can be extremely rude and inpatient. Well, when it comes to hire someone to deal with your problems a lot of times lawyers just saying "ohh, well, don't be a silly jerk just sign it" however this approach is NOT acceptable, it is all about your life in a long time. I have been in that situation but i was lucky enough to find Deborah who isn't just helped me but also explained to me in very fine details all the implication of making one or other decision moving forward, she was so patient with me and helped me to make educated decision and not just a "whatever" approach. I'm so grateful that i have had such lawyer who helped me to deal with a craziness of our laws and next to nothing protection of me as a citizen. It was supposed to be an amicable divorce initiated by my ex-wife. It became clear that she wanted to set the financial terms based on what she thought was right. David was always calm and took some of the emotional elements out of the mix and focused me on the real terms. He was nonetheless a good listener and showed empathy while guiding me through the legal process.
He shared with me some of facts he would have presented to a judge had the amicable process gone awry. But all in all David worked hard at moving a difficult process through to its conclusion with minimal acrimony.
If you are looking to grind an axe I don't think he is the guy for you!
Otherwise I would highly recommend him to anyone going through the inherently difficult and emotional challenging process of ending a union while minimizing the collateral damages. He will make the tough journey that much easier. He is really a good guy and a good attorney!

Attorney Laura Unflat is truly a compassionate professional! I was referred to her buy another attorney, if that doesn't say something nothing does. I have to say I could not be happier the way Laura handled my case. My case was not simple divorce lot of moving parts but she was very compassionate, and treats you like an equal not a client, which is not easy to find with attorneys. Divorce is not easy, but she reassures you when needed and had total compassion when it got tough. She is very professional, but tough when needed, she will not be pushed around.. She does not leave a box unturned she is on top of everything. I hired Laura to help with what was supposed to be a simple prenup; and through wacky twists and turns with a very difficult opposing attorney Laura was a steadfast advocate for me until it was completed. She very specifically figured out what was important to me, and was excellent at providing hypothetical situations to explain the implications of each provision. Her advice was thorough and backed up by examples from her experience.
As the agreement moved towards completion, and things got more contentious, I felt very comfortable when she would advocate directly with the other attorney because I knew she understood my interests and desires. She was very communicative with me and I felt well informed of each step. She was also very sensitive to and open about discussing billing when I had questions.
I highly recommend Laura Unflat for consultation for prenups, and if I ever have a family law need in the future, I will certainly call on her again.

She is a lovely person as a human being, and as a lawyer is a no-nonsense, hard-hitting professional with the skills to bring together Massachusetts marital law with the psychological aspects of divorce.
Due to the previous circumstances of my marriage, I was facing a twelve-year alimony liability that would have been financially disastrous for me, and would have prevented me from making a new start. Paula weaved together an astonishingly favorable settlement agreement that saved me tens of thousands of dollars, through courteous and efficient negotiations with the other side, even factoring in overseas jurisdictions, due to some of my assets being in Europe. She drafted depositions and related court documents that helped my case enormously, and represented my interests in the courtroom with aplomb; the courts were at the time Zoom-only due to COVID. I found myself in need of a divorce lawyer. A friend recommended me their attorney. My divorce was not going to be typical. I had two boys that were 6 and 3 and their mom was not in a grounded place. I needed to have custody. I had to hold things together. It was not promising. Dads did not fair well in 1999 regarding custody.
After a number of meetings it was clear that there was going to be trial. My attorney had a vacation planned and she had to bring in a partner. Enter Paula Berg.
In under an hour Paula told me a few basic things that I could rely on when testifying at trial. She was honest, and that does not always mean what I want to hear. She told me that I had the right lawyer and that I had to do exactly what I was told, because we were a team. She explained that dads do not typically get custody, and she followed that up with "so what, I do not have a problem going against the odds". She is a kind, warm person, but that is not how I would describe her professionally. Paula is very no nonsense, direct, and she knows the law. She knows what judges need to do their job. That is worth reading twice. I have referred Paula to a few friends, which also resulted in success. Again, pick the right lawyer and do exactly what she says. She is the right lawyer.

I highly recommend Maria Vijil Davis. She handled the legal work for both the sale of our existing home and the purchase of our new home. As a controller for a mid-sized company, we had sent some delinquent business accounts first to a collection agency and then to a lawyer. No luck. We then sent the accounts to Attorney Levine and received full payment on all three accounts within 3 weeks. She was amazing. Now we go directly to her and rarely a problem.
