Michelle Wenninger is a phenomenal attorney and an unequivocally wonderful person. She fought for me during one of the most challenging situations I have faced, and one of the most unique situations for anyone to experience. She went above and beyond, researching areas outside of her normal expertise. Michelle kept open communication to ensure I knew what was happening each step of the way, and took my suggestions when I had them, if they were fitting, and let me know why they may not be a good option legally, if not. She maintained strict professionalism throughout. I could not have made it through my case without her knowledge and support. And I will never be able to thank her enough.

I hired Attny Follett to help guide me and prepare the necessary paperwork associated with Estate Planning. Having lost my mother abruptly earlier in the year, I was overcome with what would happen should I fall ill, or pass. Who would have access to help me? Who would control, distribute, manage my estate. There were several sensitive issues to consider, and Attny Follett managed them with compassion and sensitivity. She was sure to 'dumb things down' (my term) for me, when it felt over my head. I was in the midst of grieving, quitting a job, recently moved, etc, so this was an added stress that could have been just too much. I appreciated the time, and patience, of Attny Follett and highly recommend.

The journey for the dissolution of marriage from my wife was not an easy one and has been emotional and had several unanticipated turns throughout the case but Ryan and his office showed their care, concern and support throughout the whole process. They always make it seem like your case is their only one and reply with prompt responses that are informative, helpful, and shows Ryan’s experience in family court. Their knowledge and their expertise are matched with their compassion which makes this difficult and somewhat challenging process a more positive experience and one that came to a positive resolution. They are also really good about working with you to make sure you understand all outcomes and consequences before deciding on a course of action. I would recommend Ryan and his team for any of my legal matters going forward and hope you do the same.

We worked with Hetzel Law Office, LLC on a personal injury case for our young son. The case took over a year due to delays caused by the defendant, and Ryan and his staff keep us informed throughout the entire process. They were always happy to answer questions and provide guidance. Our son had to give a deposition, and Ryan explained things to him in a way that made it much less scary. We were happy with the settlement, and are really glad we hired him!

When I started my journey down a lawsuit, I felt scared and anxious, didn't know a thing about it. Yet, at every step, Ryan explained things clearly and without issue, he made it digestible for me to understand. He is a diligent and great lawyer, he didn't cut corners, he kept his paperwork on point and just was a great person to work with. I had no issues and that's thanks to Ryan Hetzel.

I first Met Mr. Patrykus in his front lobby of his office years ago. We walked in together and I was unaware of who he was. Before I could ever be screened by an Assistant he asked how he could help. I could not believe a lawyer would talk to a potential client without being screened. He spent 30 minutes just answering questions and told me how to represent myself and that he would help me but I did not need to pay him for his services. He said I could represent myself in this case. I think I called him twice more for advice and he provided some insight for My wife and me. A few years later I remembered that when my son needed some help, Mr. Patrykus answered all our questions and set my son at ease. My son really had done nothing wrong but being younger was being pressured into admitting to something he had not done. Mr. Patrykus set my son at ease and was able to get to the facts of the case. He took a lot of the emotion out the situation and basically got both sides on the same page. The other side basically admitted they over reacted and apologized for the misunderstanding. Being accused of something , whether yourself or a Family Member can really get very emotional. The way Mr. Patrykus handled the situation made it into a learning experience for both Father and son. He never Judged my son, he simply Listened to my son. Over the years we have recommended Mr. Patrykus to people we know who needed help, he has helped them Both as a consultant and represented them in cases. all of the people we have recommended to Mr. Patrykus have been very happy with the services he has provided to them..

My wife was injured in an automobile accident. We found ourselves in need of legal advice, and we contacted. a local law firm, where we were introduced to Doug Keberle. He agreed to take the case, and quickly got things moving in the right direction. Doug was very helpful, and explained the process to us in detail, answering all of our questions, and putting our minds at ease. During the process, he kept in touch, and kept us posted on the progress of the case. He was always available to speak on the phone whenever we needed to contact him. He worked closely with the medical providers and our insurance company to make sure things went smoothly. If you are looking for a professional, experienced Personal Injury attorney, I would highly recommend Doug Keberle!

I live in Washington County and was injured in 2017 on the highway on my way to Milwaukee. Although I thought of hiring a Milwaukee law firm, I had heard Keberle, Patrykus & Laufenberg only handle injury cases and have had great results. My attorney was Doug Keberle of Keberle, Patrykus & Laufenberg. I could not have been happier with his representation over a period of almost 3 years. He kept me informed of everything happening on my case and obtained a great result. I would recommend him to any one in the Washington County area. There is no reason to go to Milwaukee.

My mom passed away from ovarian cancer in 2015. Mr. Keberle took on her case before she died (she hired him) and that gave her hope. After she passed, the lawsuit was forwarded onto me. Attorney Keberle co-counseled with another firm and now her case is in the federal MDL. When the hospital treating my mom could not find her slides, Attorney Doug was persistent and got the necessary medical documentation to move the case forward. Mr. Keberle is organized, very intelligent, hard-working and works well with others on a collaborative front - especially in co-counsel situations when dealing with BIG companies. My mother meant the world to me and I just don't want to let her down. I just wanted to take the time to personally recognize Mr. Doug Keberle and his firm for helping those in need - he gave my mom hope and the end goal is justice. Thank you Mr. Keberle. I would highly recommend this firm and Mr. Keberle if you need justice for yourself or a loved one.

Attorney Steven Hughes, working with the University of Wisconsin's Innocence Project, had played a leading role in litigating post-conviction stages of my criminal case, during which time it was my great privilege of meeting and working with Steven on a regular basis. At all times during numerous in-person and telephonic conferences, Attorney Hughes consistently conducted himself in a highly professional and ethical manner and demonstrated an excellent understanding of both the facts and complex laws relating to my case. Steven consistently displayed genuine concern for not only legal issues at hand, but also for my own personal well being during what was an extremely traumatic time. I had been 16-years in prison on a 42-year sentence and faced at least another 22-years in prison ... yet with his persistent zeal, legal skills and dedication to the case I was finally able to obtain relief from continued unjust incarceration. Steven's legal skills, dedication, tenacity and strong personality reveal an outstanding attorney and paint the portrait of a fine human being, as well. Therefore, it is both my privilege and pleasure to offer my highest and sincerest recommendation for Attorney Steven Hughes.

I had no clue what to do as a single mother when I was only guaranteed so many hours. This made me ineligible for benefits which included health insurance. I suffered from severe neck and back pain, extreme enough that I needed to call 911. The hospital did a cardiac work up since my symptoms mimicked a heart attack. I was sent home soon after they ruled out cardiac abnormalities with no diagnosis what so ever besides neck pain. No further orders were done and they prescribed a minimal amount of pain meds, that didn't even take the edge off. I went to a few different doctors who simply ordered different medications. Finally after an MRI that I had to pay on a credit card I was ordered a series of three cortisone injections all of which I also put on my credit card. I ended up maxing out five credit cards after ongoing problems with this. I owned a home and car and thought I was goin to lose them. A friend recommended Mark Brunner since he was a life saver for her. He was so knowledgable and explained everything in detail and made sure I knew what I was signing. All I had to do was bring all my bills, deed, and title to the secretary and she took care of the rest. I thought my case was pretty complex because there was so much more involved. I felt he would have had to spend several hours on my case. He was prompt when arriving at the court house. The secretary was thoughtful enough to make a map and reminded me when the court case was. He told me exactly what to expect and knew what I had to do when I entered the courtroom. I was amazed about the whole thing and would highly recommend his office to anyone.

Simply stated, Atty P is fantastic and a true asset to our world. The "concern" with her representation is that she carries a workload of 4 or more. Now we all know why this is yes? We all know this is not justified as much as we know this can not be influenced, much less changed as she has dedicated herself to the people, as a state of Wisconsin public defender. As I see it, Atty P has sacrificed a career of prestige, wealth and valuable time for enjoyment of life in order to make a difference in the lives of people who ordinarily would have been without the means to have such an opportunity. For this she should be celebrated, not misplaced, overlooked or disregarded. This attorney is so under valued my friends and you should be honored if to ever have her in your corner

Atty Joseph Reback is one of the most kindest and understanding lawyers we've (Mother & I) have ever worked with. Due to a shattered hip, my Mother was in and out of physical rehab and the hospital during our time with Atty Reback. He was more than willing to meet us at either our home, hospital or rehab locations. He was very compassionate regarding our situation - both he and his administrative assistant, Carrie, were awesome in helping us emotionally and physically through the whole ordeal. Whenever we had a concern or question, we never felt like we were bothering him. He was always willing to talk with us. He was also very thorough explaining all the paper work that was involved and each step of the process. He definitely went out of his way to make an emotionally hard situation easier for both my Mother and me. When he found out that I was very uneasy driving in downtown Milwaukee, he took the time to pick me up, drive me to the courthouse and back again. I was very impressed that he didn't hesitate to offer to bring me downtown with him so I wouldn't have to drive; not to mention I was very relieved. I would definitely recommend Atty Reback and wouldn't think twice about using his services again.

I had 2 cases that Bill handled for me. The first case I ended taken a plea bargain that Bill had negotiated for me. He felt if I had gone to trial I would a 75-80 percent chance of a not guilty verdict, but if I lost I was looking at 3-5 years in prison. My family decided the risk was to great and the punishment was to excessive to risk and Bill got me a 2 year probation instead. I am grateful for him everyday I wake up. In my second case, me my wife and my daughter were served a search warrant and as a result of this we were all given municipal tickets. the search was an illegal entry into our home and when Bill filed a motion to suppress the search, he was inundated by the DA's office calling him and telling him that if we did not pull the motion that they would dismiss all charges and reissue them as criminal charges. Bill and I had several talks on this matter and I told him I would not give up my constitutional rights given to me as a citizen of this country. Bill told me each time he was proud of me for standing up for my rights. Well sure enough the state did what they said they would do, dismissed the charges and reissued criminal charges. when I called Bill on this matter, he told me flat out, he did not feel comfortable about defending us, due to the fact he felt he could be a witness in a civil rights lawsuit against the state., and he recommended to me a lawyer who hit a grand slam homer in our suppression of the search. Now what lawyer do you know would walk away from being paid. Honesty, integrity. and trustworthy are not to be taken lightly, and I stand for Bill in all of these character traits he possesses and highly recommend him in any criminal case you might have.

I am so thankful for Attorney Leech, in dealing with a fraudulent dealership. He made this tolerable and what I appreciate the most is that in every step of this process. I was involved he explained everything and was always there to answer my many questions. There was not one moment in this process that I did not know what was going on. He showed my husband with limited english his concern in making sure he understood. He is an awesome lawyer, a people person and a very caring individual. Because he made us feel that he was concerned at all time about our best interest. Gracias!!

I purchased a used vehicle (2014) in September, 2016 from a dealership which sells the same brand vehicle as I had purchased. A week later I was told by a different dealership that the car had been in an accident and was worth considerably less than I had paid a week earlier, a fact I had not been told by the original dealership. Online I was fortunate to find the Consumer and Employment Law Center of Wisconsin and to speak with Gordon Leech. After my initial consultation I was sure I had found the correct attorney to handle my case. Gordon guided me through all the steps of the process in an efficient and always professional manner. From the outset Gordon was incredibly up front and honest about his fee schedule and made sure I understood all the various outcomes. I appreciated this immensely as I had never been involved in a lawsuit before. Whenever we spoke, I was impressed with the fact that Gordon always had my best interests in mind, without a doubt. The case was settled in a vey timely fashion out of court and to my advantage I might add. I highly recommend Gordon Leech of the Consumer Employment Law Center of Wisconsin as a very knowledgeable and impeccably honest attorney. Robert

My ex wife hired Lane as her divorce attorney. I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to have him as her attorney. He was completely unprepared and didn’t know what was going on. His lack of communication and action really weighed in my favor. He didn’t seem to know what was going on or the law regarding anything. If you’re getting divorced, I’d highly recommend finding a different attorney for your own representation, but definitely suggest that you recommend hiring him for your (soon to be) ex. Seriously though, his incompetence saved me a bunch of money, although it got dragged out so long due to his inability to communicate (he straight up left a zoom meeting with a judge due to a “more important call coming in”). He never prepared any documents or paperwork for his client and seemed to struggle with the concept of responding to an agreement proposal. To make sure I’m clear here, I used a different attorney for my divorce attorney, they were great.

Updated: Response: See edit on 8/23/2024 in response yo Attorney Sally Rubenzer’s response::: My suggestion to anyone thinking about hiring Attorney Sally L. Rubenzer DON’T DO IT!!! Google her first. (Fox 6 news). You’ll see a picture of her start reading there. I experienced this first hand while I was going through my divorce with Attorney Sally Rubenzer. I am disabled (Attorney Sally Rubenzer was aware of this fact) Around the end of the divorce, I lost my son from my first marriage. . I don’t recall much of the details of the end of my divorce due to this. Attorney Sally Rubenzer refused to slowly Proceedings down. Attorney Sally Rubenzer took me for $20,000. Left me with a debt of my ex husband’s. Attorney Sally Rubenzer was aware of the fact that debt was my ex husband and did nothing to correct the issue. Attorney Sally Rubenzer fought more for my ex husband than she did for me (her client). I HAVE REQUESTED MANY TIMES TO SEND ME THE PAPERWORK OF THE WORK THAT SHE CHARGED ME FOR !!! 2024 still nothing. Attorney Sally Rubenzer only fights for herself and her next drink. 8/23/2024 Edited. Attorney Sally Rubenzer, Let’s be honest with the clients. I requested them in 2015. I left messages after messages with no response to this day. I did not receive any thing that I was requesting until after my review above. Not one return call.

I have been a client of Attorney Laatsch for a number of years and have sought his legal advice in a number of situations, including traffic representation, real estate transactions, and drafting of a will. In each matter, Attorney Laatsch took time to walk me through all of my options so that I had the information needed to make the best decisions possible. Attorney Laatsch was very timely in responding to my questions and was well-prepared for every meeting we had. I found him to be very knowledgeable and experienced in each area of the law we needed to discuss. He always explained what was going on and provided information that was easy to follow, even though some of the subject matter was complex. Attorney Laatsch’s knowledge and expertise made me feel confident in knowing that my interests were well-represented. I highly recommend Attorney Laatsch for anyone who is looking for a highly competent and experienced lawyer.

Attorney Laatsch was helpful and responsive for several traffic citations that I had to deal with over the course of the past few years. He made sure to present all of my possible options at the outset of each of the proceedings and he was timely in his responses. I appreciate all of the work that he did on my behalf and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for legal services in the greater Milwaukee area.

Daryl Laatsch recommended my husband and I file Bankruptcy in SE District of Wisconsin. He lacked the expertise needed to evaluate our situation adequately, and filed the Petition without meeting with us, letting us review the Petition and without obtaining our signatures on it. We have lost more than $500,000.00 in cash and assets as a result of his poor legal advice. He failed to inform us once filed, it could not be withdrawn and as a result many of our assets were taken by the Trustee. We asked Laatsch to withdraw as counsel, so we could retain competent counsel, but due to his games and delays, we were left to fend on our own for several months until the Court heard the Motion to Withdraw. He incorrectly listed assets, values, debts, amounts, etc. He completed the Petition "In front of the tv while watching the Sunday football game and having a few beers" (Sept. 16, 2012) according to what he said to us. We lost our homestead and are now virtually on the streets. We are both retired, and one of us is disabled with serious health issues. He has refused to return our personal financial documents, tax returns and other sensitive documents, although he was allowed to withdraw as counsel. This man is poorly organized in his office, had no secretary, and all the mail sent to him by the Bankruptcy Court Clerk was returned as "undeliverable" although he provided the court with his address. He filed false Affidavits, including an Affidavit of Mailing. The postmark on the envelope was five days after he stated under oath he had placed the envelope in the U.S. mail. He was a Municipal Judge who had a Judicial Complaint filed against him by the Wisconsin Judicial Commission for misconduct while serving as a judge. Although the Supreme Court reprimanded him (the voters did not return him to the bench after 2007) and the Rules of Ethics prohibit him from advertising himself as a judge, former judge or using that position for financial gain, he continued to show himself on the bench in his ads until recently. He was in dirty shorts, wearing a stained shirt, and sandals when we first met him at his shared office space on Main Street in West Bend. We were referred to him by another law firm who specializes in fraud cases because they were too busy to meet with us before an upcoming court case where we alleged mortgage fraud. We did, indeed, incur extraordinarily high legal fees straightening out the schedules and ultimately paying through the nose under Bankruptcy laws. Our legal fees exceeded $40,000 not including all the federal taxes we have paid and still owe to cover the IRA distributions which we needed to take to cover the assets seized by the Trustee.

What a Terrible experience. She is a bulldog who attempts to prolong already difficult situations. She doesn't request, she demands documents/evidence that does not pertain to the outcome of the case. She is not flexible or understanding regarding anyone's time but her own. She is just lining her own pockets by continuing to let the timeclock spin. Her suggestion to request certain business docs for our divorce case (i.e. Employee Wage info. Depreciation Schedules, business Credit card info, just added an extra $10,000 of attorney, CPA, and man-hour costs, to our divorce costs.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
