In record time, he was able to elequently and powerfully sumarize my situation for the judge and get me a hearing. He not only turned my situation around… He managed to clear it up.
I didnt have a chance without him. He is as good as it gets - he’s on top of the details and gave me a voice when I needed it most. His Legal assistant is also excellent. Martha was so easy to work with for our adoption of our foster child. The Judge complimented her as well. He said, “I want to mention I do appreciate how prepared you come into court and always provide printed copies of documents as you know I like, along with having them organized passing them to me before I need to ask.” Her paralegal Penny was a hoot to speak to and both had very quick responses in which as you all know is rare for lawyers. I contacted Avery Law because Bankruptcy was the last option I had to get financially back on track. Since beginning with this law firm, I have felt respected and totally satisified with my intial decision to go with Avery law. Sheli has handled most of the interactions I've had here, and has been of the utmost respect. She has answered promplty to any questions I have, and responded quickly to any text messages I have sent. I have gotten responses from her on both occasions that I texted the number, no later than 15 min from hitting send on my phone. I also sat down with John in person to offically file, he and Sheli both explained everything in great detail and made me and my girlfriend feel very respected. He made it a point to make things as brief as we could, but still making sure that we understood every document from the first page to the last page. I appreciated the he was willing to get things done quickly but efficiently as I had a busy day when we went to file. Overall I was nervous on this process, and was told that I could do most of these things "Bankruptcy Wise" on my own by those around me, I whole heartdly disagree. Between the sheer amount of paper work and tedious details, I'm glad I chose Avery Law. This has been the easiest and most painless process to get myself back to finanical freedom. Dear John Avery, as you well know,fiiling for Bankruptcy is a very distressing feeling. However, as I explained to my son (who will be filing) life can and does give us circumstances far beyond our control. He feels such guilt and defeat in considering this. I'm glad he has a conscience, though. I had to explain that he has no choice at this point. Health insurance is not affordable with his wage but just over the amount to qualify for state aid. His new car stopped running 3 months after purchasing. He has always been steadily employed. John Avery comes highly recommended. As my mother always said...
" This too, shall pass".
I have the highest hopes that Avery Law will help my son start over without feeling like a failure.

My adult daughter was arrested. I panicked. I hired Mr. Carlos Rodriguez to represent her in answer to some serious charges. My daughter and i both found Mr. Rodriguez to be:
- knowledgeable in law (and if did not know, had the resources and determination to find out)
- dependable. Showed up for phone calls or visits as schedulled, or in rare cases reschedulled
- refreshingly honest. He did not sugar coat any situation or potential consequence
- available. If not immediately available, he or support staff would respond in timely matter
- didn't totally discard us once court "all said and done". We were welcomed to call with any further questions or concerns. He assured my daughter he was still there for her, which seems "above and beyond" the standard.
I would note that my daughter is one who takes responsibility for her errors. She and I treated "Mr. Carlos" with the respect and gratitude he rightly deserves.
We are forever grateful for the service provided by Mr. Rodriguez and his staff and would highly recommend him as a defense attorney.

We were well informed from the beginning about the IRS requirements needed to successfully navigate the complex process to funding the growth of our business. Tanzy Ward was our ROBS Onboarding Specialist and she was outstanding in her customer service toward us. She responded quickly to our questions with grace and knowledge. If she didn't know an answer, she researched it and responded in a timely manner. She was readily available via a phone call or email as appropriate. Guidant offers in house packages, we'd recommend that if you're interested to research the options to determine if they work for your company. The Guidant team is knowledgeable and experienced at what they do. They made a very complex process manageable.

Nick is an excellent attorney. His paralegal, Trista, is wonderful as well. I came to them in a very difficult position due to botched work by another attorney. I was behind the 8-ball, and time was of the essence. Nick helped me achieve an outcome that was far better than I expected. I can never thank him enough.
I've worked with attorneys for decades as an expert witness. To know a lot of attorneys is NOT to love them. Nick is an exception. You can spend 10x more money elsewhere, but you will not likely get 10x better results—and with Nick, you'll be treated compassionately and respectfully (not handed off to an associate after a consultation). These folks have their acts together. Nick is a great listener, an astute evaluator of the legal situation, and straightforward about likely outcomes. He doesn't pound his chest, and he doesn't blow smoke. He's a great attorney and a decent, honorable man. Years of bitter experience have taught me that trust should never be given; it should be earned. I trust Nick.
Like all small firms, they stay busy. But it's worth your time and effort to get an appointment.
The elephant in the room around here is whether or not you'll be well-represented if you are not a part of the dominant social clique. You do not need to worry about that with Nick. As good of an attorney as he is, he's a better human being. Others will tell you the same thing.

Total waste of money and time. Couldn’t get me a zoom court appearance with 2 weeks notice which totally screwed me up as I wasn’t in Idaho anymore. All this guy did was make my situation worse. I would highly recommend you go somewhere else. Also his office is a total mess. Other clients case information laying all over the place. I think he’s lost his marbles and probably needs to retire.

I will be forever grateful to Paul and his staff who helped my wife and I during our filing of personal chapter 7 and closing our business. He was very understanding and helped us through out the whole process. He was timely in answering our questions and our concerns and treated us with the up most decency and professionalism during a very low point in our lives. Told this person my story. Gave her all my info. Wasted a week, hoping she was going to help. All she had to do was file paperwork In Boise for me since i am in Nevada. I was going to send her my paycheck just to do this. It was to save my kids. I apparently had an open and close case. She dropped me because there wasnt enough money in it and a waste of her time. If you're looking for an attorney who cares about your case, dont trust this woman unless you have thousands of dollars. Worthless.

Everytime I have walked into court with Penelope Gaffney at my side I have won. In my divorce I acquired 50/50 custody of my daughter, my house, and my savings. My ex, after the divorce filed 7 contempt charges against me. All charges were dropped with prejudice. If you need an attorney, hire Penelope Gaffney as she could save you thousands in the long run, and possibly your sanity and life. Do not recommend! Worst attorney , money hungry . Charged a couple hundred bucks to write “ reminder letters” advised my fiancé things that were against court order . After 15,000 my fiancé got two days a month visitation with no reason for that type of restriction ! Only reason was hart did not defend him, he was disrespectful to the judge and was clueless on the case when he went into court, not knowing anything, this was in the beginning of a divorce. My fiancé lost all of his assets before there was even a trial because of Harts lack of knowledge and effort to do anything for his client except charge a shit ton of money for nothing and drag on the case for more money. Ended up going with a different attorney got all of the custody we wanted couldn’t fight for what we had already lost due to his lack of knowledge, but I highly recommend any other law group in the area!
