I met Keith in 2019 after two very traumatic events happened and I didn’t know what to do or how I was going to handle everything I needed to do to ensure myself and my 3 month old daughter were taken care of. My soulmate, my spouse, and the Father of my precious baby girl had just been killed in a tragic car accident at No fault of his but by the other driver. I drove an hour and thirty minutes to meet with him and at our initial meeting he was very detailed, confident, reassuring, empathetic and made sure he had everything he needed in order to start the long process and it was a very complicated case in which not many Judges or clients have had. At this first meeting I felt completely comfortable, confident, and knew in my heart that he was genuinely helping me and my daughter and even now, 5 years later, he is the only Lawyer who I consider a friend and someone I can go to if I ever need anything else and he was by my side the entire time throughout the MANY court proceedings which were held in different counties sometimes and he never quit fighting and went above and beyond!!!!! He is honest and dependable and quick to answer his cell phone and texts!!!!
My particular case was a probate matter and even the Judge and his staff were impressed with him and his organization at every hearing. He is #1 and you won’t be disappointed ever!!!!!

I don’t really understand the one star rating by another reviewer and after looking at all of her reviews it seems they aren’t satisfied with any attorney just take a look at their reviews on google.
Monique is not only a top notch attorney but she will always go the extra mile to fight for her client!
I personally have had to hire several different attorneys in my lifetime and can truly tell you she is the first I have ever felt and witnessed go the extra mile .
I have witnessed the size of her heart for children in need of something as basic as a pair of shoes !!
She is not at all anything like the one star reviewer says , I don’t someone money hungry when I witness giving to ANYONE she runs across whom is in need!!!!
On a scale from one to ten she is absolutely a 10!!!!!

If you are looking for an attorney to not only represent you in court but to genuinely care about your family- Ms. Barrett is the one. She formed a relationship with my children that I would have never expected from hiring an attorney, for example she made sure they had back packs and school supplies when the court got continued and I didn't have any money to get my babies the stuff they needed because my ex was refusing to pay child support and owed me thousands. While I adore several of these attorneys as friends and people I admire, it does not make up for the worst experience I've ever had with a law office. The first time I called, I was constantly cut off and could not finish a sentence. I was spoken to as if I were a toddler. I still ended up booking a consultation, as I'm bleeding thousands due to fraud that I need legal counsel to fix. I requested it to be conference call due to inclement weather - but they just flat out didn't call me. They did a consultation and declined my case without asking me a question or even showing me the respect of calling me as I requested. I felt completely dismissed and unimportant. When I asked about not receiving a call, despite requesting it a few hours earlier, their staff responded with an attitude, spoke down to me, and hung up on me! I waited 5 days for an appointment, which didn't happen. I've since requested additional callback through their website, as their phone staffer will hang up on you, and have heard nothing back. If you want to deal with a gatekeeping headache, this is the law office for you.

My husband and I were looking for some legal information on how to navigate a family custody case in another county and Mrs. Porter was NOT SHY!! She was honest with us, she told us various possibilities. She didn't allow her lack of knowledge of another county's court system deter her from helping us. She even made wonderful references to lawyers that were able to practice in the county that we needed. I like that she was up-front with us. She immediately said that she didn't work in that particular county, but she STILL did her due diligence in helping us. She understood where we were coming from as former foster parents and actually HEARD US. We loved her and would go back to her in a heartbeat if we needed to!! She has also kept in contact with us on our case and offerred prayer for us as we went forward. There is nothing like an attorney that places her clients first!!

She is not just an all out terrible person, I really don't believe. I actually had a friend, Lori Sparks, recommend me to her bc she helped her. But...she was/is the guardian ad lidem over our case by the time I called her so she said anyways. and its because of the crooked and corrupt system that she works in here in the south especially, she has made me look bad for every single thing I even Say to my children. Smh. sad when you lose your kids bc you can NOT punish them anymore....ohh and she has BEGGED my 13 year old daughter to go and live with her donor's mom because my child is half black so I guess she feels that she doesn't belong with me. What a Shame and disgrace this place has come to. It saddens me deeply to see such a corrupt system and people whom I believe are good at heart be involved due to money and hurting children most of all because they want nothing more than to be with their mother and father and they know this but choose to make them stay elsewhere 💔 I would not use her because of the racial thing she's had going on with my daughter. 0 stars 🌟 for that
