To Whom is May Concern,
In February of 2023 I was hospitalized as a result of a serious accident that required months of
rehabilitation as well as surgery. While hospitalized, I contacted the Starr, Gern, Davidson &
Rubin law firm for legal representation. The firm had successfully represented my mother in a
legal matter several years earlier. David Wendel was assigned as my personal injury attorney.
David asked very pertinent questions involving the accident. He also made very helpful
recommendations concerning medical treatment and rehabilitation specialists that would assist
in my recovery. I followed his advice and the medical specialists that he recommended helped
me make a complete recovery. David also intervened with medical insurance companies
whenever coverage issues arose. He is very personable and easy to converse with. He also
kept me informed of any important developments in the legal proceedings.
I consider myself fortunate to have had David Wendel as my legal advocate. I highly

I consulted with John initially, and thought I couldn’t afford him. To my dismay, I retained another lawyer who was decent but didn’t safeguard issues the way John had outlined in our initial consultation. Unfortunately, due to lack of prevention in my initial trial proceedings, another motion was filed against me, and I then retained his services. I spent over $10k from not utilizing his advice and suggestions. I could have spent less than half of that, if I would have retained him the first time. I cannot promise you that he can save the world; but he will advise you appropriately. He will not let you indulge in the abyss of desire that will never come to fruition. He and his associate, Tom, were up front and honest about what to expect and predict. I’m pleased with his practice and services. He’s reasonable and down to earth. If you need answers to simple questions, subscribe to his YouTube Channel or newsletter. I learned the best way to save money, is to go to him prepared with your documents organized. He’ll handle the rest.

I paid Husain A. Gatlin $2,500 to represent me in a simple civil dispute. From the beginning, he was difficult to get a hold of, and even though I only reached out with legitimate questions, Gatlin only communicated through a document uploading website, through which it took several days to get a response.
Communication got so bad with Gatlin that another lawyer of mine attempted to contact him regarding vital matters- he and I still got no response for weeks.
Gatlin made it clear to me -by actually telling me- that he was tired of this case and had no interest in continuing it. It was such a relatively minor case (albeit very important to me) that he simply lost interest when it started taking just a little longer than expected to reach a resolution.
WORSE OF ALL, I didn’t find out until trial commenced (with a new lawyer) that a major point of contention between the other party and me was caused by Gatlin’s carelessness.
Part of my countersuit against the other party was for trespassing. It didn’t come out until the trial, when opposing counsel brought it to my attention while I was on the witness stand, that unbeknownst to me, Gatlin had given the go-ahead to the other party to enter my property WITHOUT CONSULTING ME, OR EVEN TELLING ME AFTER HE DID IT. Police were called, charges were filed, trial took place, all because Gatlin, knowing I would never allow the trespass FOR THE SAFETY OF MY CHILDREN, took it upon himself to let the other party enter my property without even telling me he’d done it.
As a trial date approached, when he should have been the most interactive, Gatlin completely fell off the face of the planet. Neither I nor my other attorney could reach him at all. Weeks later, I fired him and hired another attorney.
Since Gatlin did nothing the entire ten months he “represented” me (other than wear his pretty little bow ties), I filed for fee arbitration to recoup at least a portion of the $2,500 I paid. During the fee arbitration hearing, he blatantly lied several times, and when I proved he was lying, he resorted to insults.
If your case isn’t as sexy and exciting as a murder, this is the kind of service you can expect from Husain A. Gatlin.

The panel's questionable decision aside, there's no denying the fact that your carelessness put my children in danger and caused unnecessary litigation. And it's no coincidence that other negative reviews of you have common denominators- your carelessness, quickness to lose interest in cases you're paid to see through to the end, and petulant refusal to communicate with clients.

There aren't enough good things that I can say about Catherine Anne Gacquin. She represented me in my divorce in 2009-2010. She held me up when I thought I would fall. She got me through the worst of the worst. She was kind and considerate, and she let me know exactly what I was entitled to in my divorce, and she fought for it, and she and I won. It's because of Anne that I can now stand on my own. She is a very strong woman, and I have much respect for her. Anne is not only a competent and very capable lawyer, she actually gets involved in your case. She went above and beyond our expectations and worked with the families best interests in mind. Although it was a very painful and often drawn out experience, she did everything possible to mitigate the impact on the family. Living out of State, Mr. Ducey represented me in a claim against my PIP insurance company in New Jersey. He was very thorough in collecting all relevant information and extremely familiar with the rules of Forthright. New Jersey automobile insurance law requires that all automobile insurers provide those who are covered with the option of submitting a dispute concerning personal injury protection benefits to binding arbitration. My claim involved medical bills which were denied payment to the provider even though the insurance company had been paying them for years. Mr. Ducey presented my case in arbitration which resulted in a ruling concluding the claims and future claims involved in my complaint were medically necessary. I would definitely recommend Mr. Ducey and would use him again if needed.

I must say the experience was Exceptional . At first, there was a little bit of miscommunication, but that was quickly fixed And addressed very quickly by Dan who I first spoke with at the Beginning of the case. He broke down the entire process and how It works in just a few minutes. Everything he said that was going to happen Did actually happen. I found Sameer on google while looking for an immigration lawyer and I was sure that I wanted to work with him after reading his reviews, he helped me initially in getting my green card and helped clarify all my questions about it.

I was recommended to see Caitlin by a personal friend a few years ago when my marriage imploded and I needed to file for divorce. This was quite frankly the worst rock bottom time of my life. I was very fortunate to have hired Caitlin at that time. We sat down, she listened to me and determined what was important for me and helped me understand the legal process and negotiations. The result: we were able to negotiate a settlement agreement and finalized the process within six months of filing the divorce. She also focused on keeping the process as cost effective as possible, and given her genuineness I can see her doing this for everyone. I will stress this though. Don't let the innocent picture fool you. Yes she is a good negotiator, yes she is able to work with everyone to come up with a fair agreement, but she knows when to pick her battles. Let's put it this way when she's in the right this girl is a little spitfire (As I can't give too many specifics by the guidelines I can say it was fun to watch).
Remember this is family law so if you have preconceived notions from popular TV courtroom dramas I'd say throw them out the window. A good and ethical lawyer will tell you about the law and what is likely to happen even if you don't want to hear it. I have had experiences with attorneys who have made it sound like the case is strong and then after losing at court then said something like oh I know we were going to loose. You're not going to get that from Caitlin. She will tell you the good, the bad, and the ugly. She will listen to you regarding what you want to accomplish, then she will advise you about what you need to try to meet the goal, how much it would potentially cost, and the overall chances at the end. In my case and in yours this keeps the price down and at the end of the day I was able to walk away with getting what I wanted all be it was in a different form that what I envisioned.
Overall I'd highly recommend Caitlin if you are in a bad spot like me and are in need of a good attorney. She will listen to you, she will try to keep things in budget, and she will be supportive of you going through this rough spot in your life. She will work with everyone to come up with a reasonable settlement but at the end of the day she won't take any (well you know what).
