I couldn't see the light to the other side when struggling with how to continue as I had been in long and drawn-out divorce and custody situation. I no longer had the initial lawyer on my case. We consulted with Margaret in March 2019 to represent my sister for her divorce. From the moment we met Margaret, we knew we had the right person in our corner. Judge Negron acted as my attorney for a child custody case regarding my son. I strongly desired an attorney that would understand what was happening with my son and myself. My experience with other attorneys had been initially pleasant. But they usually wanted just enough of what they thought was important and then moved on; as if I was not needed anymore. Since this could not be anymore personal, having to do with my son, it was extremely important that my attorney understood me as well as any legalities. I wanted someone who could speak to me as a father and family man, not just a legal client. Judge Negron was a perfect fit. Things would only get better from there.
Judge Negron asked questions that were pertinent, but was open to listening as well. He covered all aspects that might be helpful in bringing my son back into our lives. Judge Negron was very helpful in explaining what we would be facing. He made it clear what he could do and what I could do to help. Victor was forthright in what to expect throughout the proceedings. I was especially pleased to find out that he did not have to be "tracked" down. He was easy to contact and made himself available accordingly. All the while, Judge Negron was genuine in his concern for my son and myself.
Once the time came to be at court, Victor was completely dependable and astute. He was extremely thorough and covered all aspects of concern. He aimed for the best outcome at all times. Though the circumstances were trying and stressful, Judge Negron brought calm and confidence. The outcome was a success. My son and I have now been together ever since.
My son and I will forever be indebted to Victor for the time, effort, and concern he gave us. We thank God for placing in him in our path; providence at work. We got referred to Mr. Lowe from another attorney. We had a lawyer prior to Allen that was very expensive, so you would think that they would do a lot. Wrong. Then we met Allen and while he was a bit more expensive than the other lawyers we were looking into. This man has helped my family, tremendously. We had a custody case and he has been thorough through it all. He has answered all our questions. He is always level headed and always made sure we knew he would always do the best he could. I got James as my attorney after my final agreement had been signed. James had to fight to get the final agreement changed because I would have been paying her bills for the rest of her life. He worked with me when my money ran out and trusted I would pay him later. He discounted my fees because he knew I had been taken advantage of. He gave me other legal advice not related to divorce. When you are with James you really feel like he is on your side and not just trying to close a deal. The only problem is he is so good that he stays busy a lot. Do yourself a favor if you need a divorce attorney. Hire James.

Mr Schaffer was successful in mediating an agreement between (plaintiff) landlord and (defendant)myself, eradicating the necessity of draining the JP of the time and resources required to fulfill a jury led case. Mr. Briones is a generic result attorney that totally got annihilated in court JP3 04/13/21
He was representing my family members in a civil suit and even got their name incorrect.
Briones was unprepared and tried to scam Judge Wentworth into believing that only one person was on a deed to a home in dispute as if the other ex spouse was not on the deed at all. When the Judge called him out in it, Briones stumbled in his words saying he misunderstood.
Briones did not even have the divorce Decree with him that literally won the case for the opponent .
He told the Judge he did not know what was on it and got annihilated once again when the Judge had the copy of the decree and told him that his name was on it. He had signed it, yet had pretended he was unaware of the stipulations on it that favored the opponent and the case was lost for Briones.
I believe the Judge could see through Briones right away and his credentials were immediately lost.
This attorney is exactly the kind of attorney to avoid.

I went to see Mr. Briones for a consultation in December of last year. My ex wife was moving to Laredo and taking our son to go live over there. I asked Mr. Briones for help and he recommended that we file for a modification to have my son come live me with and not have to go to Laredo. It seemed impossible and I never thought I would have a chance but Mr. Briones was very certain that we could fight for this. I didn't have very much money to pay for a retainer so he asked for a little up front and put me on a payment plan. We went to court a few times and at the last hearing we won. My son now lives with me full time and I couldn't ask for a better lawyer on my side then Ricardo Briones.

Constantly had to call and email his office for responses When I did get a response, it was a request for information that I had already sent. I came to know Mr Peterson through my Mother, who worked with Mr Peterson for her will and estate planning. Mr. Peterson took my case when a previous lawyer was unable to perform in court. Unfortunately, I've had a long and trying custody battle over a stretch of 10 plus years. I've dealt with a handful of attorneys over that time and Clint is far and away the best. Extremely slow on preparing and filing for a case. Very expensive was being charged $100 per text message that went to her paralegal. When it came time for the case she was to busy and had to pass my case off to another lawyer. With other lawyer we basically had to start all over as she was not involved or familiar with my case from the beginning. All of this was being charged to me so it was like I had to pay for two lawyers. When the court date finally arrived the new lawyer which was Miss Day appointed by Miss Cruz was very unknowledgeable and the case was thrown out. I wouldn’t hire either of them two as all they do is try and drag it out as long as possible to be able to charge you more hours.

Kay's office was highly proficient at obtaining the upfront retainer fees and ongoing high legal fees. They were timely in submitting paperwork. In the end, Kay provided little value beyond what a paralegal could have done, or a discount law office doing family law. When it was time to go before the judge, she had done no research on who would be hearing the case. She told me that she had prepared for a different judge, and now we were unlikely to win. She was correct. If you simply need paperwork filed on time, Kay seems like an expensive person to do this. If you need well-researched legal assistance, you should seek it elsewhere.

My ex wife and I had a custody order that not even four months old when Kay helped me file for temporary custody under emergency circumstances. Needless to say she was like a brick wall, anything they tried to overturn the order was denied. We ended up coming to an agreement for 50/50 custody. She worked with me so I could afford her services and took my case on at a moment's notice. If wasn't for her services, knowledge and compassion my kids would still be stuck in the position that they were previously in.

My attorney Brooke Irey from this firm refused to represent me claiming I agreed to her withdrawal, however a judge has never approved that withdrawal. She got me locked out of my home that I have exclusive rights to until it sells. She risked mine and my sons lives to date by not writing up and delivering the judges orders Overall sneaky grimy shady business. All this because 7500.00 was not enought to write up a judges court order from 07/2023 according to her. That was not part of the 75000.00

7-10 day wait to get a phone call or email, maybe, then cancels the phone appointment you waited for, only to do more waiting and hoping as you try again. You have to beg her to pay attention to your case. Months of waiting and hoping she will take the next step or take the time to talk to you - then you get 10 minutes, maybe 15 at best (3 times over more than 7 months), then she has little to say about anything including the process. We went with her because of the claims on her website. Experience shows otherwise.
